Kari was surprised by the appearance of a different type of shadow, but she still knew that leaving it to run rampant would only cause more harm. It was a beast that was tall enough to reach their shoulders essentially, damien noticed, lunging the weapon at the beast and swinging the blunt end to deflect the caw, the problem was deflecting the claw into his personal area, wincing that the strike against plate covered ribs. but the blow was returned in fervor, stabbing at the underbelly of the beast. (holy crap, double 8's) The underbelly had a nasty scar to it, raw and ragged from the end of his honed blade. It didn't take much more to push further into the wound, slicing it deeper and letting the beast bleed black onto the ground. It left a lot for Damien to clean off, sighing as he wiped the fluid from his upper hand as graving brought the substance down the handle. "I think its been thoroughly dispatched."
