"Twenty-eight ration packs, a satchel of apples for Cedric, two rolls of bandages, bedroll, sword, a towel... What? Don't you be giving me that look. I had to trade chores for that satchel of apples for you. Otherwise, you'd be gumming up your face with bread and such. Now stop side eyeing me and stand still. We'll be going shortly." Uru scolded as he fastened the last of the saddle bags to the dark horse's saddle. Fastening his leather guard to his leg, he hoisted himself up onto his friend's back, taking the reigns and a soft nudge. "Lets go, this one may be longer than last time. And if you run off, again I will never get your apples. You will get carrots and like it."
Carrots were easier to get than apples were.

Step 1: You accidentally slip, almost fall to your demise off a mountain cliff, and drop some of the food! Roll 1d6 to see how much food you lost.
Southern path this time. While it meant he would have to travel around Camelot and make his way northward where the summit was marked on the map. He was sure it was going to be just as trecherous as always. However, the map marked this time was an old riders' cache to the north. It didn't take long before he head something drop behind him. Looking over his shoulder, he saw one of his bags had slipped free from its fastenings and tumbled toward the cliff.

If he recalled correctly, that particular bag was holding just six ration packs. It was a shame really, it meant he'd have to dig into Cedric's apples. He'd have to be sneaky about it. With a sigh, he tugged on the bridle's reigns, turning them northward towards the forest.
