Something has been bugging Reith since the last time he Explored outside of the castle walls. Namely, the existence of the great tree, towering into the heavens and roots reaching so far away. Something nags into the back of his mind-as if he has heard, read...
-or be told of it somehow.

No matter how much book he browsed, nor the royal historian, even old storytellers does not know about what he's talking about.

But for sure, he know of something like that.

Only very vaguely, only instinctively...

And so, to unravel the myth that lives only inside himself, Rei journeyed on.

Step 1: The Path Forwards.

Because the only clue he got about the myth is 'a giant tree', he referred to the only thing he knows---the tree bridge he used some time earlier to reach the Shoulder Guards.

-the item in question is still in silversmith workshop; after he tested it for some questions, he managed to get at least hints of his past:
-He is not related to royalty
-He is lower-caste citizen
-He has no families as now
-His family has been dead for some time now

And the last but not least important-
-Q: Why are the Horseman attacking the Castle? Is there's someone behind it?
The Sapphire glows. That's a yes.
-Q: Then, is the Great King safe?
...

No stone glows.

That ambiguous answer sparked more curiosity, but as he asked more question, the stones breaks off the armor piece. It seems he had overdid it.

As he climbed the tree once again, he continued to ponder---

-and he crashed into a beehive. More precisely, broke open into it. Getting slathered by honey is one thing, but the stings! OH GOD THE STINGS!

He should find a face mask. Really, nobody wants to see his face right now.

Step 2: The Winding Forest.

The way to the top of the tree looks near, but yet so far. Few days has already passed since he started climbing the tree. Now he has reached the Forest, but not the place that he has reached before---that's some relief since he didn't plan to get chased around by those giant spiders again.

He happily drunk the honey-laced water---

-AND DIED. THE END.

(Not exactly, but he did get really, REALLY sick.) As he vomited and crapped everywhere somehow Rei managed to drag himself back to the castle.

Huh. He remembered getting sick at the top of the tree...

Oh LITERAL crap. That means..someone's been taking care of his soiled belongings?

Step 1: The Path Forwards.

Rei awakens late at the night after being found by the scouts, resting himself against the castle walls.

Since he failed the journey last time due to consuming spoiled food, this time, not only requesting more ration he divided them into two bags---

But even before he managed to set a step outside the castle he again collapses due dysentery. WHY.

As soon as the dysentery symptoms alleviated, Rei once again sets his sight to the treetop.

His stash of food hasn't been touched by anyone else, but some of them has been spoiled. Separating those and dividing it into two smaller, water resistant bags took some time-

-but any time spent not leaking from both holes are good time spent.

Well, he really DID leave a trail. Of things better left unsaid.

As he checked his food stash, he found some that has started rotting---

WHY, TREE!? WHY!? DOTH THEE CURSES ME WITH DYSENTERY???
(To be frank, it's partially his own fault of eating part-spoiled food.)
