Another beaked menace jumps over the rampart, clacking the large beak as it jittered around like a literal chicken. "Can't you guys just GO AWAY---" Rei grabbed a nearby barrel and flung it at the monster's head. With a THUD some rotten fruit spills out and further enraged the monster. Aw shoot. The other knight finished the fight by a single stab to the base of the neck. That's a great idea. Next time he'll try doing that while jumping---
But first, the drawbridge has made strange creaking sounds. They should get away before it collapses!

Kari looked to see if there was anything of value...
She carefully pulled out a small, black piece of paper from the remains. Figuring it was probably valuable for something, she placed it into her belt's side pouch.
Seeing the person she'd been fighting alongside had already moved on, Kari decided it would be best for her to leave as well.
