It does not matter when they meet, simply because there is the inevitability of their second meeting and that is what really counts. The guild master is uncaring, they wave the quest to whoever approaches first and it is Abbi who runs up and snatches it with freckled hands, excited for the prospect of adventure. She is all wide eyes and grins as she peers over the thing, something about a journey and being sent out to recover some pieces of armor. It sounds simple enough, but she doesn't really want to go it alone... Thankfully, she literally bumps into just the person she needs. "Ah! My apologies! I was just-- Ah! Eldrid!" Abbi jumps a little in her excitement to find the tall man again, grinning up at him despite the soot now smudged on her dress. Quickly she waves the paper in his face before looping her arm through his and leading him off. "Would you like to join me on a quest? Say yes, please say you'll go with me!" Her eyes go all round and sparkling, one hand rising to clench cutely under her chin. "If you find someone else to come along with us, that'd probably be good too!" The more the merrier and all. He couldn't say no... Right? And it seemed he could not, for Abbi got her way and happily set about packing a bag of food, though she went a little light simply because she doubted her own endurance. Hopefully that wouldn't come back to bite her... Quest Stats Current Food: 28 HP: 30/30 xnerpin OH LOOK I FINALLY DID IT HA HA ;;;

Eldrid, indeed, was there, and expecting very little - he really had come here with little pretense beyond the option of 'quests are interesting', so when he heard the familiar voice of the miss that he had met at the ballistas, he perked up a little, grinning.
"Miss Abbi, it's a pleasure to meet you again, it appears you have taken on the same attire I have . . ." he joked, looking down at his own soot-stained clothing, before shaking his head. "I didn't know we could quest along side others - I think that would be a good idea. More food, and company always made it easier to get things going." He finished, with a stiff nod of his head.
But, a third body?
He didn't think the two gentlemen that had been with them were around, so, giving a quick peer around, he quickly pointed at a man who looked like he was doing not-much-at-all and barked out as loudly as he could
"You there! Are you willing to travel with some company? The more the merrier!"
. . . He made friends fast.Quest Stats Current Food: 28 + 35 = 63 HP: 30/30

Sacha was minding his own business getting prepared for a quest when someone yelled at him. He looked up, noting the taller man, and more specifically, the pack on his back. It looked decently full, and that was something that Sacha could (and would) take into consideration. "I could probably let you travel with me," he decided. "Just the two of you?" He turned and quickly shoved some of his supplies into his mouth, turning around as innocent and scrawny as could be. "I'm Sacha by the way." Quest Stats Current Food: 63 + 32 = 95 Current HP: 30/30

"Its a very good look, you know." She tells him with a grin as a hand tries to free her clothing of at least a little bit of soot. Unbothered by it in any regard she hums as she packs, glancing briefly at the person being shouted at. That wasn't how she would have wrangled a new member to the party, but she had given the task to Eldrid and couldn't expect him to know that she would have approached the task with a bit less yelling. But he gets the job done and the girl skips over to the new person. A polite smile and curtsey prefaces her introduction, in which she introduces both herself and Eldrid. "Its very nice to meet you, Sir Sacha." With that out of the way, Abbi ushered both men out and onto the path without any dilly-dallying. It was a bit of a treacherous go, much more so than Abbi had originally thought. Because it was there, and because she felt it might calm her nerves, she rummaged around in her bag and pulled out a piece of bread she did not realize it was covered in a fine layer of... Something decidedly not bread. Or even particularly edible for she began to feel rather ill quite quickly. "Hmm... Excuse me for a moment..." It was probably totally dangerous to disappear into the woods but look, Abbi was not going to get sick right there on the trail! That was just rude. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 95 YOUR HP: 30/30

..And then Abbi disappeared into the woods and ended up, in a sickly haze, wandering back to the castle where she promptly found someplace semi-soft and took a nap. Or, well, tried to. The whole napping thing was made a little difficult what with the terrible sickness that'd overcome her.
Hopefully Eldrid and Sacha would understand.

Quote: Rolling a 3: You accidentally ride into a bees nest. BEEEEES. Your horse runs away, making it extremely hard on you. Every turn you take, you must subtract 5 food from the caravan, starting next turn. They had started off, with a rather impressive amount of food to their name already, and everyone seemed to get alone well enough. Or so he assumed, as he had just met Sacha, (who seemed pretty big of himself - but whatever - he couldn't judge,) and Abbi was already a shoe-in for friendliness.
As they continued, though, Abbi had requested to leave them for a moment. It wasn't long until Eldrid was pining a little in his saddle, before stopping his horse completely.
"I hope you don't mind, but I'm a little worried about our partner, she's been gone for quite a while . . ." He asked Sacha, in more of a 'I'm doing it' kind of statement, before going to pull his horse towards where he had seen her last, hoping to find her healthy and in good moods.
But, he didn't.
No.
He found bees. So many bees.
With one misstep, his poor horse had stepped right in to a bees' nest, a horde of the insects had decided to enact revenge on them. In a flurry of hooves and yelling, Elly was not-so-nicely ejected from his ride, and after a few moments, had to quickly haul a** away from the angry horde, running until he could find Sacha again.
"ARE THEY STILL CHASING ME?" He asked, not knowing that the horse had taken the brunt of the fight.

When the third member of their party had excused herself, Sacha hadn't been too worried. Well, he had been, about carefully stashing her food supply on his own horse, but it wasn't anything he was torn up over. After they'd started off it seemed a big strange not to see her but he didn't say much until the other man had decided to stop. He wasn't opposed to it, so he drew his horse up, content to let Eldrid look for her. It was a good decision at least, as they stumbled across bees. So many bees. The horse and rider split ways, and at least his food fell off the horse. Before waiting for him Sacha moved over to scoop it up and add it to his own supplies, and only then did he look for Eldrid. "Nah, you're--" he paused, looking around and drawing out his answer. "You're good. It was at that moment that he started to feel ill, and he understood why the girl had vanished.

He soldiered on, and the feeling passed. "Come on, let's get going," he said, managing to sound annoyed. Sacha leaned down to give Eldrid a hand up. His poor horse would have to ride double, which wasn't really fair, but it worked well enough as he snuck a few more bits of food. He probably shouldn't have been eating, because out of the blue swooped a hawk, ripping his food out of his hand and clawing up his arm good and proper in the process. It was long gone before Sacha was finished yelling at it, swearing to turn it's family into friend chicken for generations.

There may have been a little 'oh no' and 'are you even sure the horse can handle this' argument that the taller man had for being offered a a hand up to ride double with the other knight. If his history showed, horses didn't like him . . .
His thoughts was broken by the screeching noise of the bird as it assaulted the hell out of Sacha in front of him for the food that he had in his hands. In attempts to stop it from doing any more damage, he fell off the horse again.
"I will eat you and your children if I ever find you!" he yelled from the ground, so very, very angry for what had happened to him, before turning his head to snort, catching sight of something beside him.
". . . Hey. More food. Ground food."
Was it safe? Maybe.
Did he care? Eh.Quest Status Food: 95 (-5, +10) = 100 HP: 20

"Pick it up," Sacha urged, eyes greedy as he looked down at the food.
Ground food was still food.
Food was a good thing to have.
His arm was still clawed up and blood was trickling down it, so Sacha did the only thing he knew how to do at that moment. He ate something. It seemed only natural, and with his good, non-bloody arm he reached down to give Eldrid a hand up onto the horse. "You're making a habit out of this," he grumbled halfheartedly.
That was when he looked up and noticed the giant spider. His hand open, food spilling onto the ground, and he would have slithered down to pick it up if it hadn't been for his horse stepping on it.
Ground food was one thing, horse stomped food was another.
