Quite frankly, Cress was not looking forward to this adventure at all. He had enough adventure in his previous quest, and was not particularly keen on going on another, but at the same time, he had felt obligated to because he did not find anything to do within the castle. He had loitered around the battle strategy room for a bit, but that had been crowded with people he did not want to meet, and there was always the sense of restless urgency about. He had had enough and was now, once again, on a quest. Before heading to the guild master, he made sure not to eat anything weird or funky that could potentially lead to him keeling over in pain. Hopefully this would mean that he wouldn't end up with endless bouts of dysentery again like last time. That was simply too much.
He looked at his pack of food. There seemed to be an awful lot this time, which was good in a way, because this meant that his journey could be long, and if it was long, that would mean that hopefully he did not end up with dysentery. He really did not want to end up with dysentery.

[Step 1]
Cress was so preoccupied with thinking of ways that he could not end up with dysentery that he did not notice the animal blocking his path. He was busy considering if there were some herb or ointment that he could use to prevent bouts of dysentery, but from his experience, eating strange herbs itself could lead to huge stomach pains so it was a bit of a dilemma. It was a pity that he did not know anyone he could experiment on as he would not want to do it to himself, but it would be interesting to observe the effects. The animal growled and Cress's horse reeled up in fright. Goddman it-- The rabid squirrel jumped on to his face and Cress swatted at it, but alas, the squirrel clung on and started biting. What the--- He finally managed to grab hold of the squirrel's tail and pry it off, throwing it into a particularly thorny thicket. He felt bad for it for a second before examining his wounds and deciding that eh, whatever. It was the way of nature. And the squirrel kind of deserved it.

Cress had just gone to the side of the road to do his business when his horse decided to give up on him. He facepalmed and sighed. Well, it had gone reasonably well so far, and this seemed to just be the matter of adventures. He took his pack off the horse and let it go, hoping that it would be able to find its way back to Camelot safely. If he got to the end of his quest safely, he would make sure to pick it up on the way back if it had not moved by then. He looked at his pack of food. There seemed to be a lot left, which was good, since it seemed like it was going to be a long journey yet.

Cress was careful, really. He had not enjoyed the giant axes swinging at his head last time, and he had made sure to side step the place he had activated them last time. But unfortunately, this caused him to step into a new place, activating a trap involving snakes. Just ******** awesome ain't it. He pondered the misfortunes of adventures as he ran away from them.

It was a relief when he reached the mountaintop. He was a lot worse for wear, and it was quite a miracle that he had had enough strength to climb the last hill top. He picked up what must be the artifact which was a nifty helmet this time. The Greater Helmet of the Banyan It was snazzy, but not worse potential bouts of dysentery snazzy. As he left the hilltop, he met the old man again, and claimed a turnips the size of his head. Just great. There's no way that I'm going to eat this. And he left, thanking the gods that the adventure had been relatively tame.QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 32 YOUR HP: 10
