It was time to head out. Imbere fixed her bag, saddling up her horse and giving her a small pat before threading her fingers through her mane. The horse, named Lyble, let out a snort and shook it's head, seeming a little tense. Letting her fingers pet the soft hair of the horse, the dark skinned female saddled up, fixing her food portions and adjusting her hat. Making sure everything was set was a necessity.
It was time. As she slid onto the horses back, the girl gave the horse a firmer pat, it letting out a whinny and beginning to trot. And they were off!

Oh, ********. Imbere didn't remember how messed up it was to walk out from this place. Grasping the reigns of her horse tightly, the female with vitiligo steered her horse carefully, managing not to fall in any holes or some how trip into anything— until a certain misstep made the horse whinny and actually lift its body in fright. Imbere shrieked, grabbing onto the horse on instinct, but accidentally let go of the bag. Oh, s**t, there it went— some of the food slid out. Oh well, it was better than her life, she guessed.

When the horse was finally calm and Imbere was no longer clinging for her life on its back, she instantly went to check on how much fell out— but found that only one piece of food had fallen. With a sigh of relief, she adjusted the bag to be more secure and slid back on, reassuringly petting her horse. "It's okay, hey, we're okay." She said in her normal dull voice— it was strange for her to comfort another being. But hey, it was just a horse. She guessed.

After a while of traveling, Imbere couldn't help but let her mind wander a little. Who was she before she became a knight? It was all so foreign to her, and she could think of no one she remembered. Or well, nothing. That was kind of the deal. But it did leave the mind to wander— what if it was something dangerous? Something...
Oh, hell, she was lost again. This damned forest, no matter what road she took she kept on getting lost and more confused than she was when she first arrived. She let out a loud groan and rubbed her temples, receiving a small snort from Lyble as if telling her— hey. Get it together. With another loud sigh, she teared Lyble to a stop and dismounted her, tying her reigns to a tree on the side and pulling out a little bit of food she could munch on. Rubbing her eyes, just as she was about to put some food in her mouth, a spider appeared out of nowhere. Her eyes instantly widened and the killer shriek that echoed from her voice was practically killer. It took her a bit, but she was able to breathe properly by the end of it— damnit, the food fell... What a waste. With a dejected expression, the female took a breather and headed off again, almost too tired for this bullshit.

Not only was the forest hard to navigate— the terrain just became harder and harder, annoying Imbere to no end. Then again, it was a challenge, so the dark skinned female enjoyed that, but the fact that she had to go through the physical and manual labor required to do it was tiring. Just the thought of having to over stress herself for this...
Then again, her body kept moving as if it had the will to do so on its own. There was something deep in her that told her not to give up so easily, to try and do what she could and fight, fight to... help? She could gain reputation, and therefore win riches. Fame would make her well known, and she'd have the renown needed to get quests from others. She just needed to do more. But somehow she felt that wasn't the reason. There was something under the surface, but she forgot of it...
As Lyble and Imbere made their way up the mountain, the foreboding skeletons leading toward the end seemed to haunt her. Steering Lyble away from stepping on any skulls, the girl slid a hand into the pack before pulling out a piece of food and munching a little on it. Maybe she could salvage something one of the dead on, but they looked like they were there for so long it was a curse or something. A distant screech made the female shudder, and in her daze, her legs made a wrong turn, and...
As soon as she saw the axes whoosh toward her, she jumped the ******** out of the way... Only to leave with one large cut across her arm. Greaaat.

Lyble stopped suddenly when they made a sharp turn to the top of... The mountain they were scaling. Raising her eyebrows slightly, the female rubbed her neck and took this as a sign to step off Lyble and climb. It wasn't safe for Ly, anyways. Her fingers shook nervously as she made a small fist with her hand and continued walking up, encountering— is this—
"Why hello there young lady!! Yes, I am a wizard, listen to my amazing words of wisdom and yeah, here, have some food!!"
Imbere instantly bit down into it. I mean, who declines free food? Climbing a little more, the female said goodbye to the old man before working her way up, finding— that... That was a tabbard. Black and purple, the exact colors... It was PERFECT. But why didn't she find the king...? Oh well, next time.
