For the second time Aiden found himself walking into the hall with the Guild Master to get a quest. And like the first time, he had a companion with him to take the quest head on. His grin was in place as he stepped up to the desk and the Guild Master. "We're here for a quest please." He said and just barely kept from bouncing on his heels. The Guild Master nodded and handed him a scroll with the quest information. "Thank you." The green haired teen said then turned to leave, opening the scroll on the way out. "The 'Greater Shoulders of the Aquamarine' huh? Sounds like fun." He said then looked at Ami with a wider grin. "Ready for this?" QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 24/24+ YOUR HP: 30 (123w)

A quest huh? well maybe this could be something beneficial now that she wasn't trying to get drunk off her a** in the banquet hall. She also had a friend to questing with...Aiden? Was his name? Maybe? She couldn't remember at the moment. BUT that aside, at least it seemed like he was ready and pumped for this despite the fact they could fail miserably. Aiden nodded at her, grin turning into a more toned down smile. "Good as it will be dangerous and we might not succeed but on the other hand, if we fail we could try again later." He said and looked once more at the information on the scroll. "First we need to get horses." He lead to the barn where horses were waiting to be saddled up. He made an immediate beeline to his horse, a black Destrier, and started saddling him up. "Ready to go on another adventure, Souji?" he cooed to the horse and pet the beauties mane. (100w)

Of course there was the possibility of failure! She wasn't so naive that she couldn't see that for herself. Instead of giving the boy a snide comment, Amy nodded her head, smiling politely. "Of course, there is no such thing as a quest without any danger. Would be quite boring otherwise" At the mention of horses, Amy's demeanor perked up greatly and she looked at each horse before making eye contact with a pretty dark brown Courser horse whose name was Mage according to the sign by her pen.
"Ill choose this one. Mage is her name right?" She smiled when the barn boy nodded affirmatively and quickly saddled up, petting her silky mane. "Ready to become friends Mage?"[119 WC]

Aiden chuckled at her enthusiasm then got into Souji's saddle. "Well then, guess it's time to get this quest under way." He said as he stroked the top of the horses head. He then took the reigns and nudged Souji to get moving with his heels. He kept an easy pace as they made their way through the surrounding buildings but then sped them up a bit once they were out on the open road. The ride wasn't hard and there wasn't any trouble right way. Until they ran into bees. Aiden had no idea where they came from but they swarmed in fast and next thing he knew, Souji had taken off in distress, leaving him horseless. "Well that was fun." He said sarcastically. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 49/54 YOUR HP: 30 Rolling a 3: You accidentally ride into a bees nest. BEEEEES. Your horse runs away, making it extremely hard on you. She should've known the trip was going to be terrible the moment they began to trot for a couple of miles and absolutely NOTHING happened. It was like the universe was preparing to throw them into the darkness with no way out. And boy was she right on that one, call it women's intuition if you must, but the ride was going along smoothly until she saw Aiden run into some bees. Amy tried to steer Mage out of the way, but the bees were quick and they flew right for her next, causing Mage to throw her off and flee in the same direction that Souji had. They were now horseless and what was worse? There was a hole in their supply bags.
Amy angrily stomped her foot and trugged on, blaming Aiden instantly for their bad luck. Aiden ran a hand through his hair and sighed a bit at Ami's statement. "Yep. On the other hand we aren't hurt physically at least." He said then looked over at their food supply. They would definitely have to keep an eye on that. Loss of food would mean they would have to return sooner and not collect the artifact. "With out horses it's going to be a long trek so we better get started." He then started to move off into the forest. He was right in the trek being a long one but thankfully their luck took a turn for the better as they came across some food left out by the road. He blinked at it then gathered it up. "Well that was certainly handy." He said cheerfully. On the inside however he could help but think that more then likely this just meant some other trouble would find them sooner or later. True, at least they weren't stung or anything like that. Bee stings can be wicked deadly if one wasn't careful. Picking herself up, dusting off her armor and quickly trotting to keep pace with Aiden who happened to find some discarded food along the road. Amy quickly made a face when he picked up the food and placed it in the cache. "Perhaps you should've left it there? Are you not worried about the dysentery that has been going-------OH SAINT MARY WHAT IS THAT?!"

Aiden had to roll his eyes at Ami's question but before he could respond to her she backed into him. He looked passed her and his eyes went a bit wide at the sight of the large spider then he tugged at her sleeve and motioned that they should leave. "Lets get out of here before it decides we look like flies, huh?" When they were far enough away he saw they were coming into the Dwarven Mountains and headed straight to the labyrinth. He eyed it and licked his lips before seeing something about the food supply and remembering that she had asked him a question. "Oh, yeah I'm worried about that but at the same time it's better to try and get more food because of things like that." He nodded to the whole in the bag that had happened when Souji had run away. It had gotten a bit bigger between then and now. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 29/54 YOUR HP: 30 Rolling a 5: Your horse gives up on you, running away. "Y-Yeah sounds like a good idea....." When they had put a big enough distance between themselves and the spider they had come upon the Dawrven pass and lo and be hold! a labyrinth. Great. At least they could maybe get through this without any incident? Amy froze in her tracks. Something was wrong..."What is that noise?!" She quickly turned around, feeling the creature's heat on her back. Her eyes widened and she let out a shrill scream, accidentally dropping more than half the food from their bag. "A-Aiden! RUN!!!!"QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 12/54 YOUR HP: 30 Rolling a 4: You hear a horrific roaring noise and when you look behind you you see a terrifying beast made of fire chasing you! Aiden didn't look when Ami shouted, just started to run. It was only after his feet had taken him a good twenty feet that he actually looked behind him to see the beast. He immediately looked back ahead and sped up. He did NOT want to get eaten thank you very much! He kept racing through the labyrinth, not really paying attention to which way he was going, and after a while he came to a stop. He stood there panting and looking behind them to make sure the beast was gone. Thankfully it didn't seem like it had followed the small party at all. When he turned back around to look at where they had ended up he couldn't help the loud, excited yell he let out at seeing they had made it to the top! Unfortunately said yell made a small avalanche go off and hit them both. Thankfully it didn't push them farther away from their goal though. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 7/54 YOUR HP: 20/30 Rolling a 3: You accidentally shout a little too loud in excitement and unleash an avalanche! -10 damage for WHOLE PARTY. Whew! At least the fire monster was too chubby to chase them both! Amy ran quickly to catch up with Aiden, a bit miffed that he left her behind. Obviously this one hasn't learned any manners from their mam on how to treat a lady, and when this quest was done, maybe she could give him a point or two on manners? She grinned deviously, yes, that would work juuuuuust fine. Her glee was short lived however when she went face first into the avalanche of snow that her companion's yelling had caused. Yes, she was DEFINITELY going to as him for a "friendly" spar after this.
When she resurfaced, there was a man claiming to be a wizard that handed her a bag of food and she found out that she had stumbled upon the shoulder pads she was looking for! Winning!
"Aiden look! We've got the [Greater Shoulders of the Aquamarine!] we can go back!"
