Hyperborea had been out on patrol for the past hour and a half, she hadn’t had any real encounters with other powered people yet, order or chaos aside from dusting a youma earlier. She considering finishing up for the night when she felt a strange aura. It felt like an order aura but it was different from the other ones she had felt before. She was curious about what it was so she followed it.

She traced the aura back to it’s owner. The boy she found was not much taller than her, maybe just a couple inches. He was dressed pretty strangely, though she supposed that was par for the course with order people or really powered people in general. She decided to just approach him.

“Bonsoir. I’m Hypeborea of Cosmos. I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind some company.”

Saint Sergio
Quail's Eye let out a long, loud yawn despite trying to stifle it. He was so tired lately. Patrolling and balancing his day to day life was very, very draining. The gray haired man settled upon a bench in the park because why not? He didn't feel any threatening energy signatures that would put him on alert. A hand went up to fuss with his hair and tugged on it a little before a sudden aura appeared.

Followed by a voice introducing herself. His head swiveled to the side and Quail's Eye got to his feet and then gave him a little smile. Cosmo page..? Maybe? He wasn't good with ranks unless they were senshi.

"I'm Quail's Eye. ...Of nothing, really." Not true, but whatever. His whole introduction would be rather long winded. "I wouldn't mind company, honestly." Time to play big boy and eat up this whole insecure and not trusting strangers things. Especially if he wanted to make a difference in the war.

She took a seat beside him. “Cool, so um I was wondering what are you?” She realized that probably sounded really rude so she hurried to explain. “Err what I mean is you don’t feel the same as other senshi or knights, are you something special?” She wondered if there was a third group of order fighters that no one had told her about.

“So is Quail’s Eye a planet or a wonder or something else?” She felt like she had heard the name before but she couldn’t place it.

“Are you new to the war too?” She couldn’t really get a feel for this guy’s rank and the name didn’t help any so she wasn’t sure if he was new or not.

Saint Sergio
“Oh uhm. No. It’s not entirely an uncommon question when it comes to me. I’m.. what I am. I used to be apart of the Amazon Trio. But… right now there’s only me. I’m.. not a senshi, or a Negaverse agent. Not a planet or a wonder. I’m just sort of little old me.” He opened his arms a little and laughed. “I think I was called a Phenomenal Cosmic Power at some point.” But titles meant very little to Quail’s Eye. They weren’t that impressive.

“Basically.. Just call me the Protector of Dreams of Flight.” He gave her a bit of a bow around the waist and then laughed, feeling a bit silly for it. His cheeks turned a dusty shade of pink before she asked her final question.

In a sense Quail’s Eye was new to the war, but in reality no. “I’ve been around for quite some time,” he answered honestly. “...But I’ve only recently been very active within the war again. I was guarding Elysion with Helios for a long time and decided to come back when things calmed down. But that’s a story for another time.”

“Wow you sound amazing. A phenomenal cosmic power, that sounds so cool. I haven’t heard of the Amazon Trio but it sounds really interesting.” Her eyes were sparkling, if this guy was a great cosmic power did that mean he had some connection to her order. She wasn’t sure but either way he sounded really impressive.

“The protector of Dreams of Flight, like actually dream dreams. Thats amazing so do you like enter into people’s dreams? Like the sandman.” She thought for a moment about it. “Or wait I suppose he just brings people dreams.”

“I’m sorry but I don’t know what Helios and Elysion are. I mean I know that Helios was a sun god in greek mythology but I doubt that the person you’re talking about is the same Helios.” But then again it wouldn’t be that out of place for there to be just legitimate god around given all the other strange and wonderful things Hyperborea had seen.

Saint Sergio
“...I can go into dreams, I think. It’s been a really long time. Usually it’s only the children who’s dreams need protection. Got to keep them innocent for as long possible, yeah?” Quail grinned wider, pushing his hands behind him as he continued to listen to her.

There was a sun god Helios? That was.. new to him. Then again Quail’s Eye didn’t know anything about Greek mythology. Wasn’t really his forte in school, history and what not. He shook his head. “No, Helios isn’t a god, but maybe one day I’ll tell you more about them.” He wasn’t even going to disclose a gender to Helios. “However, Elysion is a place. Someplace very sacred that very few people go.” Ah, the mystery of Elysion. How he’d like to go back again one day to make sure things were how he left them; nice and peaceful.

“So. Hyperborea? I’ve never heard of you. I’m assuming that’s your wonder?”

“Wow so what is it like going into someone’s dream. And what kind of stuff threatens a child’s dream, do you mean nightmares or can chaos actually attack people’s dreams.” That was a scary thought, how could you defend against someone attacking your dreams.

“I’d love to hear about him then.” She said with a smile “It must be an amazing place then to be so exclusive.” She said a bit wistfully. She wished she could go there but it sounded like it was very exclusive about who all could visit it. “So it Elysion some kind of dream world?” It would make sense since Quail’s Eye had said he protected dreams of flight.

“Me? Yeah I take my name from the wonder of Hyperborea. It is this big city, it looks like an ancient greek city by the way, that is floating in the center of a triple star system.”

Saint Sergio
“Some chaos aligned things… not necessarily humans, can attack dreams. There’s Dream Mirrors they can look in and go turn their peaceful dreams into nightmares and seriously hurt the children.” Quail’s Eye’s brows knit lightly and he just took a deep breath, rubbing at the back of his neck as he thought about it.

Elysion a dream world? Well… He waffled on that and just gave her a secretive look. Honestly he wasn’t too sure how much he could tell of Elysion without it getting back to the Negaverse, and he didn’t… well, he only just met her. Despite that she was on the Order side, he didn’t want to give away secrets to anyone. It could get him in serious trouble. Not like there were guidelines or rules or anything.

“...An ancient Greek city? Sounds really interesting! Do you get to travel there? Have you been? What’s it like?” he was all for talking about space travel right now. He wanted to travel to so many worlds and wonders and the like.

“Wow that actually sounds pretty scary. Things being able to hurt kids through their dreams its just like that movie, Nightmare on Elm Street.” At least she assumed so, she had only heard of the movie never seen it, she wasn’t a fan of horror movies. “You must be a pretty good guy then to protect kid’s dreams and what not.”

She understood the look he gave her, clearly he couldn’t talk about this. It made her a little sad that she couldn’t even hear about this Elysion but at the same time she didn’t want to get him in trouble with Helios or who ever ran Elysion. “I’m sorry I guess you can’t talk about, I won’t bring it up.”

“Yeah I can travel to Hyperborea, though as a page I have to wait three weeks after each visit before I can return. I’ve been twice. It is pretty interesting, the people there worshiped dead knights so the streets are lined with statues of former knight. Oh and then there’s the acropolis that has this amazing temple with a giant golden statue of the supposedly the first knight of Hyperborea. Oh and the city is on top of this giant shifting labyrinth.” She said a bit prideful of her wonder.

Saint Sergio
Nightmare on Elm Street… He probably saw that once a while ago, but it’d been so long that it didn’t ring a bell. He tilted his head a little when he got the compliment and Quail ended up ducking his head and just shook his head a little. “I’m just doing what I was made to do.” Made to do. He wasn’t human. Not anymore. Yes he was born human but since Wiseman created Quail’s Eye, he knew he’d never be a normal human again, no matter how hard he tried. The thought saddened him a little, but at the same time, he was unique. More unique than most. He just hoped it didn’t get him in trouble.

“Oh it’s no problem. I’m just not sure what I can and can’t say. So it’s just easier to leave you hanging.” The laugh Quail’s Eye let out was light and airy before she started talking about her Wonder.

“Oh wow… When do you think you can take someone? Can you? Can I go?” He stepped closer to her and stood on his tip toes, bouncing a bit, looking more and more excited over the possibility. A labyrinth. A shifting one. It sounded too good to be true. Puzzles were fun.

“Yeah but just because you were made to do something doesn’t mean that you deserve any less credit for it. I mean knights were basically made to defend and help people right, but I think knights like Camelot still deserve credit for being as valiant as they are.” She said hoping she was making sense.

“I would love to take you; Theseus, oh thats the ghost who lives at my wonder, said that guest have always been welcome in Hyperborea.” She had to think for a minute about how long it had been since she and Camelot had gone to her wonder. “ Um I think it’s been about ten days since I last went, so unfortunately it’ll be about another two weeks before I can take anyone else.” She said apologetically.

She noticed how excited he seem to be about it so she decided to say a bit more about the Labyrinth. “ Theseus said that the first knight Apollon left alot of treasures hidden in the labyrinth. So far I’ve only found this.” She said holding up her signet ring. “Knights can use them to send messages to each other.”

Saint Sergio
He felt like he should know Camelot. ...That went around didn’t it? The feeling that he should/i] know someone. Anyway. He shrugged and just smiled because Quail’s Eye picked up on the context clues and realized that Hype was saying he shouldn’t sell himself short. He slowly rubbed the back of his neck and then took a deep breath.

Ghosts? Sounded… fun. He couldn’t say if he believed in them, but he knew he shouldn’t say he didn’t believe. He’d just get kicked later. “Oh, I didn’t mean right this minute. I’ve got so many things to do before we depart!”

Apollon. Maybe another one of the Greek gods? It sounded like a God name. The she showed her signet ring and he examined it slowly. “Oooh. I… am out of the loop with that. Nothing to message anyone with yet. One day, I’m hoping! I just have to find senshi or someone on our side and send messages if I need to.” Not that he’d ever needed to yet, but he figured there would come a time when he needed back up. Like if he was fighting another Negaverse agent but a higher powered one than him. He clicked his tongue a little at his own trivial thoughts and then waved his hand, dismissing them.

“Well, Hyperborea… I hate to chat and go, but patrolling is to be done, hm?” He laughed a little more. “I’ll be around here sometimes! Probably more frequently than not.”

“I don’t want to keep you then. It’s been a pleasure Quail’s Eye, thank you for talking with me. I hope next time I can show you my city. Stay safe. Au revoir!” She said getting up and waving good bye. She took off for home figuring it was getting late and she needed some sleep. She had a lot to think about now. Things that could attack dreams, secret worlds, people protecting dreams it was all very interesting and very strange.
