Pipara poked her head out of the trees, glancing around the glade before stepping out into it. It was early morning, the sun was just creeping over the horizon and mist hung heavy in the glade. The morning flowers were just starting to open, water collecting on their petals as they did so. It was chill, but not terribly so, a nice reprieve from the warm spring days.
The twittering of birds could be heard in the trees all around her. The world was just starting to wake up, the sky casts in pinks and oranges. Pip had been lucky Kalev had been up late the night before and was sleeping soundly when she had slipped out. He would be out for awhile, hopefully long enough for her to find something fun to do.
It wasn’t that she didn’t love her brother, quite the opposite really, she just found him to be a bit stifling from time to time. She knew he was just looking out for her of course, he wanted her to be safe and taken care of and that was fine. It was what older brother’s did after all, take care of their younger siblings.
Still she wished he would let her explore some, or just see the world. She wasn’t overly fond of living the safe life. Pip wanted to meet people, to see new things and experience all that life had to offer. She whickered happily as she pranced out into the clearing deeming it safe enough for her to do so.
Once free of the woods she broke out in a full on run. Pip had never been a very fast girl, her size made it a bit hard for her but that didn’t stop her from enjoying a good run. Her hooves hit the ground hard tearing up the dirt and grass, leaving debris behind her as she went. She made it almost all the way across the clearing before she . pulled up her sides heaving as she slowed to a easy walk.
Pipara wiggled her little tail before stopping at the sound of a branch breaking. She lifted her head ears flicking forward as she glanced in the direction the sound had come from. “Hello?” She called out pleasantly, her first instinct not being to worry about what was out there.

Pipara shifted slightly when there was no answer, she moved a bit closer to the woods. “Hello? Is there anyone there?” She queued as she took hesitant steps towards the dark underbrush of the trees. She couldn’t see through them well, hardly at all really, and it caused the fur on the back of her neck to stand on end slightly. She tensed a bit, it was like when her brother decided to tell her scary stories, it was the same sort of feeling.
Pipara’s tail wiggled slightly as she inched forward her head lowering as if it would help her see better. The air grew tense and nervous as she stopped, a mere fifty yards from the darkness of the woods. She seemed to hold her breath as she lifted a hoof, stepping closer once more, a stick breaking as she stepped on it. A few things happened at that time, a fox hopped out of the woods, birds flew, and Pipara scrambled backwards tripping over herself and giving out a yelp in surprise.
Of course once she had righted herself and was standing straight again she burst into laughter. The fox seemed startled but not terribly distressed by her presence as it went on about it’s business. She giggled lightly to herself as she shook her head and stepped back the opposite direction so as not to disturb the animal. Her amusement was written obviously across her features as she stepped back to where she had come.
There was joy on her face as well, and she seemed completely at peace, totally unaware of the male not terribly far off watching her. Her nature was one that was carefree, at peace, and seemingly unaffected by what darkness truly lay out there. She pranced about for a moment before coming to a stop, lowering her head to sniff a flower near her left front hoof. Her back towards where Makoto stood inside the trees.
