The dorm belonging to Katia and Adam. They opted to get the single bedroom dorm in order to save money with tuition. Now the two live rather happily. RoomBathroomKitchen

Katia The very first thing to grace the walls was a small poster that read 'KEEP CALM AND PAINT HAPPY LITTLE TREES'. The rather small joke brought the smallest of laughs to Katia's lips as she put some of the finishing touches on their dorm room. The walls were littered with some of Adam's best paintings and the nearby bookshelf was covered in most of Katia's books. She had dusted and sprayed the desk before putting a few of their school supplies inside along with paper and a pencil holder, that way Adam would have a clean place to either draw up sketches or do his homework. Next came the curtains which Katia thought would look nice bathed in lace so she chose a rather light blue curtain set that covered as well as looked pretty.
She made sure to rent a small vacuum in order to clean the carpet and was happy to find no bugs. In the kitchen she already unpacked a few of the food products they bought before coming along with her tea kettle that was readying her famous milk tea. Soft wisps of air tugged at the curtains as well as Katia's clothing as the wind filtered nicely through the nearby window. This place was coming together so nicely...
Katia poured herself a cup of tea and sipped away before wiping down the counters with some warm water, next came the bathroom. The bathroom was quiet easy, all she had to do was make sure Adam's cleaning supplies were easy to find and far from her own. He wouldn't want to have snow fresh mint smelling hair and bright cream body wash...
When she was finished she enjoyed her tea beside the window, the curtains drawn enough so she could easily look out at the campus. Her father was nowhere in sight and soon the two could begin their lives together... It was just a school life together, but it was a life nonetheless, and she couldn't be more ecstatic.

Adam

Returning from the campus's registering office, Adam's heart fluttered with excitement. This was it! Today he'd finally get to share the same dorm room as his girlfriend Katia Romanov, who had come all the way from Russia.
It had taken them the better part of a year attempting to both enroll in the prestigious Black Rose Academy, but their hard work and persistence had paid off, and neither could be any happier. Currently, Katia was in their room decorating it to their shared tastes, as Adam had gone to register the two of them into a single room, with a single shared bed. Oh, what wonderful fortune that befell the two young lovers!
Adam made it back to their room, and opened the door to find Katia relaxing with a cup of tea, having just finished the main workload. His paintings were hung neatly on the walls, her books were organized on the bookshelf, and it was clear she had some serious hustle in her to get all that work done so quickly. Good heavens, was he glad that she was his girl, and he was her man! If he'd ever doubted the existence of angels, Katia was the one thing to completely bury such doubts.
"Hey there," he said to her with a warm smile. "I see you've been busy."

Katia The delicate shades of the sun's embrace danced across the various areas she could see on the campus. Gentle blue eyes could barely keep it all inside. She leaned against the windowpane and planned to close her eye's before the quick sound of Adam's entrance startled her. She turned quickly, her tea growing hot in her lap before leaning forward to address him. She looked away, a gentle smile across her lips as the reality of this situation was setting in.
Adam and Katia, Katia and Adam, they were officially the perfect couple with a place to call their own! It was too much~! To his comment she replied. "Da, I simply cleaned..." Adam was always so appreciative, even if she worked hard at something he was the staple of all of her work. She once danced for her father, lived for him, now she does everything for Adam. He is her 'American boy' you could say. They had been together for what felt like no time at all and already he's changed her so much for the better.
She was once so cold, so distant...now she was Ms. Adam's girlfriend...and she was so much more open to things. She felt confident, radiant, perfect...in his eyes.
She stood to meet him, leaning close to his cheek, "Tea?" She offered, her smile unmistakable... She could hide her feelings in public but in front of Adam, especially now, she must've looked like a smiley face emoticon!

Adam

Katia greeted him with her cute Russian-accented voice. "Simply cleaned," she's said; it was obvious she did more than he'd asked of her. He never viewed her as a sort of live-in maid—in fact, he was uncomfortable with the very idea of asking her to do manual labor, especially considering he would rather do the lion's share himself when he could help it. She'd gone above and beyond, and he was always grateful for her efforts.
She then came up to him and offered him some of her favorite warm tea. The smell of chamomile was one of her smells, and it was the fragrance of heaven.
"Yes, I'd love some tea," he accepted, leaning closer to her, so close their faces almost touched. Being around Katia made it difficult to keep his impulses in check. So many naughty things he wanted to do with her, but he figured that a "slow burn" would be the perfect kind of foreplay. The right time would come soon, and the thought of it had him chomping at the bit, but now was a good moment by itself. Just spending time with her after a year apart was a miracle in itself.

Katia The snow haired beauty nodded and retreated to the open kitchen to pour Adam his drink, but not before leaving him a rather soft kiss on his cheek. Katia made sure to stock up on silverware as well as tableware, some of the stuff still needed to be unpacked and put away but she would get to that when she had free time.
With a mug warm on the counter she added the lightest bit of sugar to an already creamy tea and hurried to her boyfriends side to hand him his drink. "Do you like vat I did wit' da room?" She said with a rather proud smile as she looked to the room with him. She did her best to make it suitable for living as well as their upcoming schoolwork. The dorm had lots of area for her to dance as well which helped but the biggest perk was the window, it showed most of the campus and could serve as artistic inspiration, should Adam need any. She always thought to herself where he got such wondrous inspiration from...she only wished she could concoct her own brand of inspiration and mold it into her dancing the way he did his paintings.
She felt so shy, so awkward but...she reached one hand close to one of his to hold it. Her finger's lightly threading their way around his as she stood close with her mug and sipped away.

Adam

Katia gave Adam the softest kiss on his cheek before pouring him some tea. As she handed the mug to him, she asked him his opinion of her hard cleanup work on the room. "You did wonderful," he said, sipping the warm brew. Just like Katia herself, her tea was just the right amount of creamy and sweet, and she'd taken pride in preparing it just right. She beamed at his compliment, and he saw her fidget slightly, then reached for his free hand with hers, interlacing her fingers with his.
There, sitting at the table with the love of his life opposite him, and the large window that peered out onto most of the campus giving him quite the view, he cherished this moment. For someone who found beauty and majesty in just about anything, he didn't feel that putting the feeling of this moment to canvas would suffice. His paintings were a way of capturing sights and feelings, but so that anyone could see them; in fact, most painters painted for money in the first place, to varying degrees of necessity. Even after studying the Bob Ross method religiously, Adam felt that he wasn't skilled enough to sell his paintings yet, but his family did make sure he would be able to teach at a local art workshop for spending money.
In any case, he wanted this moment to be theirs and theirs alone. No one else would ever see it.
A few sips later, Adam spoke. "You really are wonderful. I still can't believe this really happened. After you left last year, it felt like I aged a year for every day you were gone. Every day, I thought about you, and now we're finally together again, and we made it work."

Katia The decadent silence that followed their time together was almost too wondrous. Katia felt lucky, she felt like this was the first true luxury that she could enjoy and appreciate. Yes she had been given the life a princess with anything she could ever need, but this, this moment here in this small dorm with her boyfriend...this was true bliss.
She looked to him, seconds before he spoke and watched in silence as he took stock of their reality. She felt foolish for having left him before but knew that her father would never have approved if she just stayed with him. If they were to have been together at all they had to be smart about it. Her father was hesitant but he knew he could never stop her from living her dream. He would never truly accept the man who took his daughters heart...but he would have no choice.
"It feels...like a dream. A fantaziya....fantasy..." Katia leaned close, her head softly finding it's way onto Adam's shoulder as they sat. "I thought about you too...Adam" She was still working on it, but her English was getting vastly better. She knew that English would be difficult long before meeting Adam, it just took him to make her want to learn the vast language. A moment passed and she wondered if she could just sleep here, forever basking in the closeness of her love...before something rather exciting crossed her mind.
"Oh! Adam, I 'ave a gift for you!" She rose his hand to her lips and lightly kissed it before taking her finger's back and standing. "Stay right d'ere..." She nodded before walking to the bed and sliding out one of her suitcases. Inside was a large box with a rather intricate latch on it. She carried it over to the table and opened it, inside were three new artist palettes made entirely of safety glass with a white vinyl backing. She couldn't contain her excitement and was beaming again with her new gift presented. "I got 'dem at home...I tought you might like .."

Adam

The couple sat there soaking in their little sacrosanct moment, awash in their shared aching longing for each other. They both finished their cups of tea, and now sat together, fingers still interlocked, and her head on his shoulder. She had longed for his presence as well, and basking in it felt like a "fantaziya" for her. Their year of meticulous planning to reunite for good had borne fruit at last, despite one very big, but unsurprising, obstacle...
Adam knew all about her father Vladimir Romanov that he needed to know: a ruthless businessman who'd had the wherewithal to make his fortunes in the wake of the Soviet Union's collapse and change to capitalism after decades of a planned economy. The details weren't that important, but he knew that like every wealthy father with an only daughter, he'd be extremely protective of her. Katia had told Adam that her dream of becoming a famous dancer was already against Vladimir's wishes, let alone potentially eloping with an American painter boy whose financial future was always uncertain.
He certainly knew where he was coming from, but once Katia boldly made the decision to be together with Adam here, he decided that Vladimir would one day have to accept it whether he liked it or not. Sure, Katia had once lived a very sheltered rich-girl life, and as a result knew very little beyond how she'd been raised, but he liked to think that she made a good choice in choosing him to be her boyfriend. When they'd first met, she only knew a smattering of spoken English—just enough to converse about certain topics—but Adam was very patient and forgiving of her mistakes, and acted as her linguistic coach.
He was never quite sure how she'd fallen for him, but for him it was love at first sight. She was certainly very beautiful, but something about her felt so... refined, so dignified... yet also very vulnerable and pure. Once they'd truly hit it off, he knew he had to have her.
And now here they were, following their hearts toward each other, throwing caution to the wind.
Suddenly, she sprang up, saying that she had a gift for him. Inside her suitcase lay a large box which she removed, and opened up in front of him. The box contained three brand new artist palettes which looked rather expensive. "Oh my god, I love them!" Adam exclaimed. "I've only ever used wood palettes before, but these are amazing! Thank you!"
Adam brought his girl into a passionate hug, and then a firm kiss on the lips. He looked into her shimmering icy blue eyes, then gave her another kiss, this one lasting longer, and aided by his hands reaching up to her head.

Katia Katia was taken by her own surprised when Adam stood. He drew close, his warmth growing intoxicating enough to make her blush once again. Why was it that every time he touched her, it was like electricity had some how sparked it's way across every pore on her body. Her body felt lifeless and all she could do to life in the moment was hug him back. She did her best to hide her blush in his shoulder as his arms cradled her. Her hands flew to their own accord to his chest and rose to his shoulders as he continued. It was almost like a fairy tale, if every moment with him would feel like this than she would have a lot to get used to!
He then moved to kiss her, almost as quickly as the hug previous. Her finger's trembled and tried to hook themselves onto his shoulder's as best they could. Even her legs began to shake as their unbroken passion decided now was the perfect time to take it's toll on the ice princess. If only Adam knew how hopeless he made her sometimes...he would never worry about whether or not he had what it took to be hers. He took a moment then to look into her eye's and she couldn't help but smile...her own eye's doing their best to open. She didn't even realized she had closed them! Such boyish handsomeness, it was true that Katia had been courted before, but it was always by men who felt their confidence was enough to dominate the day and win their prize. Adam didn't look to her as if she were a prize to be won...he saw her as a gorgeous honor that he couldn't live without...that was all she wanted.
He kissed her again, this time her heart pounding with the passion and the closeness. Her hands fell lightly to his chest again as his hands lightly brushed against her blushing skin... She was in complete heaven....

Adam

That second kiss was slow and drawn out, so they could both completely savor it. Each kiss Adam shared with Katia was a privilege from on high. How she melted in his arms at his touch; he held her as though he would never get to hold her again.
He recalled the last night they had been together before she had to return to her homeland last year. Instead of treating it as a painful, somber affair, he decided to throw Katia a small party in her apartment, between only him and her. He'd gone to the trouble of baking her a small chocolate ice cream cake from scratch, as well as shelling out good money to buy a filet mignon steak to cook for her, and then the most adorable ice-blue ballet shoes. The party was a complete success at making her happy and live in the moment. Between giving her one last English lesson, she also wanted to dance with him to excerpts from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. Though his relative clumsiness showed throughout, Katia felt it was more fun and fulfilling with him than with any other partner she'd ever practiced with.
Though they had been informally dating since shortly after they'd first met, he finally confessed his love for her that night, after dinner and dessert. He told her everything his heart had to offer, that she'd captured his heart with her entire being, and he couldn't live without her... the next day's parting would be painful, but absolutely not permanent, he made the point. No matter how long it took, how hard they must work, they would be together again, and when that day came, it would be forever. The once-frosty Russian princess lost all her composure and dove right into his arms, sobbing uncontrollably into his chest, confessing her love in return. She'd begged him to never let her go, and he promised her he never would. The two looked into each other's eyes for a a moment, then leaned toward each other... and had their first kiss.
Adam held that memory ever close to his heart, and had it in his mind during their hot, hungry kiss. It wasn't the right time then, but maybe tonight... just maybe...!
He finally broke the kiss and looked into her half-closed, love-filled eyes again, caressing her cheek with his right thumb. "I love you so much, Katia," he said. "Umm..." He started to fidget slightly, trying to spit out what he wanted to say to her. "I was thinking, since we now share the same bed... you think later tonight, maybe we could..." Adam trailed off, now feeling visibly uncomfortable asking her the big question. He knew how shy and icy she'd once been, and how he'd been the one to defrost her, but what he was asking ran the risk of making her think he was a pervert and thus returning her to her ice shell. He'd asked it—it was out of the bag now—and it fell to her to answer...

Katia Thiers was truly a perfect romance. What was easily a touching and passionate moment turned quickly into something else. When they met Katia was the perfect example of her father's daughter. She was quick to put up walls and keep people out, she was even quicker to dismiss most things in life as idiotic. It was in that line, she remembered it to be a rather off brand Starbucks rip-off, it was in that line at that café that they first met. She had grown tired of waiting in line and it felt a lot like everyone was lording their perfect English accents over her each time they ordered. It got the point where she was hanging on every word and every accent and waiting for someone to slip up in order to come out of this with some self confidence. Then she heard a somewhat homely voice, a fatherly voice that sounded completely uncharacteristic.
A boy in front of her was ordering in the strangest of accents she had ever heard and it obviously wasn't getting any laughs from the cashier. Instead, a soft, almost chiming laugh brought his attention to a blushing and rather shy Katia. Their eye's met and something changed in him. She saw him as an idiot, someone whose comedic appeals were entertaining but ultimate meaningless. He was rather interested in her, and her lack of English didn't stop him from enjoying his order with her. They spent the day together talking and getting to know eachother. She was growing so tired of him and it was showing everywhere, but he wasn't leaving without at least knowing he would see her again. What he called dating thereafter was different to her, she had gone to America for a ballet recital, nothing more...but he changed that. From picking flowers from the concrete to reciting his favorite jokes to her, he wouldn't stop until he wooed the unsuspecting Russian. She never set him straight...but he knew deep down that it was working.
That night when she left she was under his spell, she felt a passionate rouge-like confusion setting in and his light hearted celebratory wares were perfect. She assumed that would be it, until he confessed to her. He told her everything, he let her know that she wasn't just some passing fancy, she was to be his next true life choice... They kissed, for the first time... She listed off all of the excuses she had in a listless whisper...he kissed her again...she ran out of excuses, and told him so! She remembered him smiling, happy that his ice princess had finally run out of excuses to turn him down...and from that day forward she was no longer Katia...she was Adam's Katia...
Now, in this tender moment, he asked for the ultimate prize. He desired the one forbidden fruit that seemed almost too inevitable. She took a moment and looked away with the softest of smiles still on her lips before nodding. "Yes...we can...." She remembered that night he danced with her, that night he gave her those beautiful slippers...she would never look back now. From that day forward, unbeknownst to Adam, she dreamt of wearing that white dress her mother wore...she dreamed of wearing it for him... A woman's heart was always a beautiful dreamer. A part of her prayed that he wouldn't get out the streamers and jump for joy at her answer...

Adam

Katia's soft, whispery affirmation came not out of reluctance, as Adam had feared, but from her very soul. She made it clear that her heart belonged to him, and now she would give him her body tonight in their shared bed. Adam's own soul now felt so light as to threaten to escape through his head, but he kept his elation in check. He still didn't want her to think that it was what he wanted from her all along, which was patently false anyway. Katia was no "achievement" to be won. She was a human being with feelings, hopes and dreams just like any other. For Adam to have earned her love was the greatest privilege he could ever have imagined, and he was willing to endure life's hardships with her until the very end.
He was still aware of the fact that although he'd successfully defrosted her, it was understandable if she would be even the slightest bit reluctant to acquiesce. "I promise it will be a wonderful experience for us," he assured her. "All I ever want in life is for you to be happy. If you need some time to prepare yourself, I'll gladly give it to you. I'm all yours, darling." He finished, gently placing his forehead onto hers, and closing his eyes.

Katia Leave it to Adam to make something so sanctioned and touchy into something so silly. His dialogue was enough to make her laugh but she understood his sincerity. "Silly Adam, it is not like we are going to war..." She drew close, her breath lightly falling onto his lips before her hands fell to his chest once again. "Be spontaneous..." She slowly, almost seductively wrapped her arms around his neck and drew him in for another warm kiss.
This was the man she planned to be with for as long as possible, these were the lips she could never get tired of, this is the partner she could always dance with... She drew back from the kiss, a line of their own breath being proof of their dalliance before continuing. "I-I...I love you Adam, I love you so much...as well." She felt like she could be spontaneous and interesting but, she failed. She was still the ice princess who was always so shy and so embarrassed to be any kind of way that wasn't her...and when kissing Adam she couldn't help but feel submissive... Perhaps that was his spell.
