The breath of spring was upon Magesc in full force. Odette was determined to get out of the city for some dragon hunting. Evesi, not having seen her best friend and spent any quality time together, decided to tag along. Evesi had never been a hunter. She just liked being a healer, and was content on that end.
Odette, however, was quite ready for the adventure, and loved the fresh air, the hype of the hunt, and the power over other creatures (dragon and Magescian alike). The two walked for miles across the Valley of Andrah into the Forests of Aurinead. The morning was already almost over and no dragons were even spotted. The fairyflies flitted through the forest floor, through the tree tops, glistening and playing with each other as though they were children playing tag. The day was bright, beautiful, and the breeze -- immaculate.
Once deep into the forests, Evesi caught wind of something down the dirt path.
"Dette, look." the golden haired Orderite whispered as she pointed towards a dragon-esque creature in the faraway distance.
Odette squinted and saw the creature's silhouette through the trees and light. That was a dragon alright. With a determined smirk on her face, she raced forth, trying to do so in as quiet a manner as possible -- though quite impossibly done in practicality as she wore the Guard's armor. Nevertheless, the thirst for blood was unquenchable for the girl, and she charged on.
The closer she got to the beast, the more she realized she needed to bring forth her weapon, the ring blade. She grabbed it off of her back, where it was strapped nicely for convenience sake, and ran with it flowing in the wind behind her until she was close enough to the creature to do a quick toss.
Evesi, unhappily, followed as quickly as she could behind her friend. She wasn't nearly as excited, and didn't care to participate in such dark matters as the death of a dragon. She was a scholar after all, a healing professional-to-be. She was just tagging along the ride for her friend, and to protect her in all such endeavors.
The dragon had realized the two were approaching, and completely expected the toss of the ring blade. It was then that vines were revealed -- many, in fact, and they grasped onto the blade, stopping it mid flight. The roar of the dragon was heard from all parties, and Odette pulled back on the magical strings of her weapon, pulling it towards her. The vines began to tear, ripping from every angle as the Orderite pushed back and forth (from a safe distance of course) on her weapon. Finally, it was freed, and it flung back to it's owner's hand.
With a look of pure determination, the Orderite flung off her weapon once more, to see if any different outcome would happen. The dragon roared again, setting up a flurry of leaves, blasting them off towards the two Orderites. Regardless of how Evesi felt about battling dragons or war in general, she knew she needed to help her friend out. With a quick flash of blinding light, an invisible shield was set up by Evesi to deflect the onslaught of sharpened leaves.
Finally, the figure in the distance revealed it's abnormally beautiful face to the Orderites with it's oncoming approach from above. One quick glance before a painful pin to the ground, and Odette looked up at her attacker. Before either party could do anything too destructive, the looks in each other's eyes were enough.
"Alduin? Is...is that you!?" Odette asked the 'dragon', looking up into his eyes.
With a genuine look of shock, the Khehora quickly jumped back and off of the Orderite girl. "Oh, gods. I can't believe it's you! Odette, right? We met just the once so many years ago. I'm surprised we both remember each other." he stated, bowing in an apologetic manner.
Evesi helped up her companion, who was still lying on the ground. "Will someone please explain to me what just happened?" she said in a frustrated tone.
"Thanks Evesi." she began, wiping off her pants before turning her attention to Alduin once more. "It's been so long! And yes, Evesi, this is Alduin. We met when I was out dragon hunting for the very first time. Remember, I told you that the Mara began to attack us suddenly after defeating the dragons, and that there was an Oblivionite and Orderite who came and saved us. Well, those two were accompanied by this brave Khehora, who helped fend off the Mara and heal us all up after the fight was over. I only recognized you because of your markings and stone colored skin. Obviously, that's not the color or the marking of a regular Ysali dragon." Odette concluded.
Evesi's brows furrowed. She was confused, but at least the fighting was done and over with. Or so she thought.
Just then, a real Ysali dragon cast a few vines to entangle them all before showing itself. With a small roar of what little power a Ysali had, a flurry of leaves picked up and shot at them all. A 'surprise' attack turned on the dragon when with a twitch of his head, Alduin turned those leaves right back on his attacker. He was much stronger this time around when it came to battling Ysali, as he had gone through months of training after his first dragon encounter alone. The leaves sliced up the Ysali dragon, who was then entangled in a web of Ysali vines that Alduin had cast upon him. He was then pulled apart and into dust by those very vines, leaving behind a few Ysali Dragon Soul Orbs in it's place.
Alduin released the vine's hold over himself and the Orderites quickly and urged them all to get somewhere safer, as he knew that there were Ysali dragons abound in that area of the forest. With all in agreement, Alduin led Odette and Evesi towards his village, where they would have a chance to catch up in peace.

It took less than an hour for the three to arrive in the Okkovo Clan village.
"Wait here, alright? I have to alert them before I bring outsiders into the village quarters." the Khehora stated with a polite nod as the two agreed to stay outside of the walls. With a quick jump over the large rock barriers, Alduin found himself on the inside of the wall.
Within a few moments, he had hopped to the top of the wall, giving the 'okay' for the two Orderites to come over. The two both released their beautiful angelic wings and flew up and over the wall.
As they landed, they were greeted with open arms as the elders of the clan came to see them. As the afternoon turned into evening, the two Orderites realized that there hadn't been another Magescian in the presence of these Khehora in years. The Okkovo clan had been created over a century ago by these families, and most of them hadn't ever met a friendly Magescian. Thus, they were pleased when the two Orderites were kind. The Okkovo Clan had always been a hospitable one, it was just hard to find their village. After all, the best Gaili Khehora in the clan had created these walls, and the Ysali camouflaged them so well against the mountainside. It was peaceful here, the two-leggers thought. So much so, that they had asked to visit again and again. And they were granted that privilege.
The two ended up spending the night within the Quaron family cavern with Alduin, his sister, and mother. They all shared tales of their pasts. The Khehora brought up Ysava, their long lost brother that had left a couple years prior. They also shared stories about their father, Odah, and the war that they were fighting in Eowyn, Serenia, and even Ayr. How the warriors had still yet to come home after all these years. The Okkovo clan wanted to expand their territory into the other continents of Magesc. They had started a setup on Eowyn, their neighboring continent, just over the ocean. Yet, the elders hadn't received word back from the convoy they had sent on the status of the plane of land they were trying to use. As the night went on, Odette asked Alduin if he'd like to accompany them to Eowyn. Scared, yet seeking the adventure, Alduin nodded, expressing his want to visit the other continent. It was set, the three would travel to Eowyn in the morning.
Many stories and hours later from both sides, they all had decided to go to sleep for the night. After all, they had a long day ahead of them tomorrow.

The morning sunlight broke into the cavern earlier that morning it seemed. Evesi was up to see it all, as she couldn't seem to sleep. Weary from the sleepless night, she walked out into the open, where Alduin's mother, Annivale, stood. Evesi approached the large Khehorian woman. "A-are you alright?" the Orderite asked upon seeing the woman's distraught and saddened face.
"Oh, child, you mustn't worry about an old woman like me. I'm fine. Thank you for your concern. You're a kind hearted soul, I can see that. I stand out here, near the wall, every morning at the break of dawn in hopes that my beloved son, Ysava or my husband, Odah, will return. Ysava left years ago when Alduin and he were just Orakoir. The two had a fight, Ysava left, and that was the last time I've ever seen him. And my husband, well, he left to help with the war effort almost six years ago." the Khehorian spoke.
Evesi's face fell into a look of concern. She patted the Khehorian's back and began to speak, "I'm sure they'll both come back one day. You're doing the best you can, staying here with the clan, helping them every day like you do."
It wasn't much, but it brought a smile to the Khehorian's face.
Just then, Alduin and Odette exited the cave together. Sleepy looks upon their faces.
"Good morning you two! I hope you slept well. Are you ready for this little adventure?" Evesi said, all bright eyed and bushy tailed. She was definitely ready to get this day started, and what a better way to do so than to be positive and refreshed after a good night's rest.
Odette yawned and wiped away some of the sleep from her eyes. "You're always so perky in the morning, Evesi. How do you do it?" she questioned, almost sarcastically.
Evesi just let out a light giggle and shrugged her shoulders. "Maybe it's just because I love the morning, watching the sun pass over our heads from dawn 'til dusk. Isn't it beautiful?" she rebutted.
Odette just shook her head, squinting her eyes as though the sun was far too bright to pass through her lids.
Alduin, however, was a bit more awake than the Orderite. "Yes, I do believe I'm ready." he spoke. "Mother, are you alright?" he asked curiously.
His mother just gave him a smile, tear stained face noticeable. She then spoke, "I'm fine. You three be safe out there; but have fun." and with that, she went back inside the cave to retire for the time being.
Alduin kept his eye on his mother as she retired to the den. Concern grew on his face, but he knew his sister, Laera, would be more than capable of taking care of her during their time gone.
"Well, are we ready to head out?" the rambunctious young Orderite asked, now coming to a full awakened state.
Alduin looked back into the cave, then back at the two Orderites before him. With a nod, he began to run a few steps before leaping into the air to fly over the wall. The two Orderites quickly followed, releasing their beautiful feathered wings and also leaping to take to the air.
Now the three were on their way to Eowyn. All for different reasons. Odette, seeking adventure. Evesi, to protect her beloved younger friend. And Alduin, to see if he could not locate the sister clan of the Okkovo, to see if his father could be found.
Eowyn awaited...
