 Lunaria, a young rainbow fox, was inside of a cage that was in the market. She'd been captured a few days ago and was going to be sold for money for the guy that 'caught' her. He didn't know she was human or he would have gotten more for her. It was a normal day for the citizens of New York city though as they went about their lives but some people stopped by to see what rare pets were available. Luna would growl every time someone tried to touch her. Poor Luna looked like she had not eaten in days since she refused to eat the food the man who caught her gave her as it was dog food. Lunaria was no about to eat the food since she was a creature that deserved respect. As she laid there, she caught the scent of a hot dog and her mouth began to water as she stared down the young man holding it.

 Zak was standing across the street from the exotic pet stands, munching on his hot dog. Then he froze for a moment, sensing someone watching him. He glanced cautiously back over at the animals, noticing that Luna was watching her. Zak blinked and walked across the road when traffic was still, kneeling down by the animal. "Did you see something you liked? You hungry or something?"

Lunaria sniffed at the hot dog as she was used to eating meat, not meaty tasting dog foods that had hardly any flavor. She whimpered as the man who caught her came over and said "you gonna buy something or what?" after spitting some chewing tobacco juice out of his mouth by Lunaria cage as if he didn't care which he didn't.

Zak blinked, before getting to his feet to look at the mean spirited merchant. Then he shrugged, "I might be. This one is pretty. How much are you selling for?"

"How much you willing to offer for her?" the merchant said as Lunaria looked up at Zak hoping he wouldn't abuse her once he got her like this merchant did. Age just wanted a good home to have her pups. PhantomJavon ((Thought it would add more fun if she was pregnant and her mate was dead.))

(Sure, that would be fine. Definitely make it more interesting.) Zak blinked, then he stroked his chin a moment as he thought about it. Then he nodded his head, "Well depending on what you got it for, I might be able to offer something decent. How about... I think I can do a couple hundred. How does that sound?" He looked back at the owner, smiling slightly.

"Deal," the man said shaking Zak's hand lightly before he unlocked the cage so Zak could get his new pet. Lunaria was about the size of a great Dane so picking her up was going to be difficult. Lunaria then cautiously went up to Zak and sniffed at his hand before she nudged it onto her head gently. She was still hungry but could wait a bit longer for something to eat, she just hoped her babies were alright.

Zak paid the man, then looked down at Luna. "Are you going to be good for me?" asked Zak, before picking up the rope to help walk her through the streets. He gently scratched behind her ears as he knelt down to get the rope. "You're really pretty, you know."

Luna walked with her new owner proudly. She winced a bit as she felt her little ones moving around. She wasn't too horribly skinny but if you felt her lower stomach area you'd feel the little ones were moving almost ready to be born. Luna was ready to burst any day now. With her mate dead from hunters, she was a little nervous about having and raising the pups alone.

Zak smiled as hey walked, but glanced over at his new pet when he saw her wince, "Hey, you okay? Is something the matter, girl?" He walked them over to a nearby bench outside some apartments to look her over. "Not hurt anywhere are you?"

Luna buried her face in Zak's chest as he sat down, trying to get the pain to stop. She hoped her little one's were okay but at the same time she couldn't wait until they were born. You could feel the pups kicking a little bit inside of her womb but it hurt her as this was her first liter. She didn't know what to do as her mate used to comfort her when she was with him. He would hunt and bring her water when she needed ht. He was also a rare fox, but did nit have Luna's coloring. He was a regular nine tailed fox. PhantomJavon ((imagine Luna but looking like a ninetails from Pokemon.))

Zak gently stroked her coat, trying to comfort her. Then he blinked in surprise, looking her over a moment. "Oh, I see what it is. You're not fat. You're about to have puppies, aren't you?" He chuckled a little. "Well I guess I'm gonna have to get lots of things from now until then, won't I?" Zak scratched her neck. "So do you think I should get some dog food first? Or would you rather rest a bit at home?"

 Luna decided that Zack was trust worthy enough to show him who she really was. She then telepathically said Can we go home please? I need to lay down. Also I'm not a regular fox....I have another form that in will show you once we get there master....." You could tell she was sad and alone by her voice that and her eyes showed she just wanted to cry her heart out.

Zak blinked, silent for a few moments. Then he looked seriously at her, "Did you just...talk? No... I guess I'm just imagining it." He stood up, leading her down the street to one of the apartment towers. "I guess I needed a companion more than I thought. Okay come on inside, your new home is in here." Zak lead her to an elevator, being careful to make sure her tails were inside before activating the lift. (That's a cute picture.)
