----------Barcel & ??? The Empoleon gazed around with a curious expression on his face. Despite his age the head of the Treasure Hunter's group was not one to let anything come between him and some new and fascinating discover, hence why he now stood at the center of a great platform that rose high above sea-level, surrounded by three mountain spires each with its own shrine. Around him scurried countless Pokemon, examining the area and jotting down notes and the like. At Barcel's side was a Smeargle wearing a pair of small spectacles, his tail did not drip with paint, but instead was dirtied as he had been using it as a broom moment prior. "We found this place just last week but it took some time to get up here with our equipment." "I see, so tell me why did you call the guilds for assistance again? Are you worried something might happen, was a threat made?" The Smeargle laughed, "No, nothing like that. We're just short staffed and so we require assistance in excavating some of the treasures we have found." The word treasure sparked the dual types interest and Barcel nodded solemnly. "Aye, well I'll head back down and inform Veilmys. We'll bring up every available team we've got to help loot the place."
"Loot is such a strong word..."

  ----------Barcel & Arty & Veilmys
The great bell in the main hall rang loudly, signalling the entire guild to gather for an announcement. Once the teams had begun to file in Veilmys would hop upward into one of Barcel's broad shoulders and sit neatly groom his paws as he waited. The Empoleon didn't seem too bothered by being used as a podium, he was a tall Pokemon despite being short for his species standards and he'd dealt with smaller creatures crawling over him before. Standing next to the head of the Treasure Hunters, a Smeargle shifted uncomfortably from foot to foot and wrung his tail anxiously. Perched between both eyes was a small pair of spectacles.
"Good of you all to show up! I'd like to ask that everyone keep the chatter to a minimum as we explain why we called you! The guild has been asked to assist in the excavation of a newly discovered set of shrines atop Trinity Peaks! This will be our first guild wide assignment and I look forward to seeing how you all perform. As this duty correlates with the Treasure Hunter group Barcel here will be taking the lead and giving instructions, do listen well."
With that the Sylveon daintily jumped down from the dual types shoulders and began to briskly walk back to his office. He was not needed any longer and he had other duties to attend to, but he had wanted to see them off.
Clearing his throat the Empoleon gestured to the Smeargle next to him. "This is Arthur Salvadore-"
"Just Arty is fine." The normal type cut in, but Barcel continued on as if he hadn't heard.
"-he and his team need extra help in uncovering all the artifacts around the shrines they discovered. We'll also be on the lookout for possible thieves since they are attracted to archaeological sites."
"I know Teleport so I will place us all there. Feel free to grab some of the tools and set to work! We'll treat it like a game, you'll be rewarded with fake 'points' for each item you uncover. At the end you can spend these points on some of the treasures we've collected."
With an almost comical pop the Smeargle teleported and carried the whole of the guild with him. Trinity Peaks How this works: Roleplay out your characters digging, you may roleplay with one another if you like as well but every post you make must have the Post Action of a Dice Roll using a 100-sided die. Roll one die for each team you have!
For every EVEN number you get you will collect TWO points. Even numbers mean you uncovered an item to be added to the collection. The item can be anything you'd like except actual items that you would use in roleplay. (Ex: You can find a golden necklace, but you can't find a TM.) You do not get to keep the items.
For every odd number you will lose one point. Odd numbers mean you either didn't uncover an item or you damaged one and it loses its value.
Points are gathered on a per team basis.
You may NOT double post, but you may post as often as you like so long as you keep that in mind.
The Chapter does not have a set End Date as of yet.

Team CatalystMembers Present: Keivera, Arlyn, & Kennet Keivera looked toward their team room door as the bell sounded. “I wonder what's going on this time.” She wondered aloud. Looking at her team mates she smiled, “Let's go find out shall we?” Then, without another word she walked to the door and boosted Arlyn up so he could turn the door knob before the trio proceeded to the main hall. This was exciting for Kent. Since joining Team Catalyst he hadn't had the chance to go out on a mission yet, but he had a hunch that he was about to get that opportunity. He watched intently as all the teams began filing in to see what was going on. He noted that the Smeargle was an unfamiliar face. This, he thought, must be the newest client. Thankfully, he didn't have long to wait before his hunch was confirmed, but treasure hunting was not what he had hoped for. It was slightly disappointing, but he would give it his all, afterall, the guild did take a wide variety of jobs and didn't just cater to one type of request. It would be expected of him, and he didn't want to disappoint Veilmys or Keivera.Arlyn was not happy with the thought of being teleported, however, before he could object the Smeargle had already transported everyone to Trinity Peaks. The teleportation process made him slightly dizzy. He sincerely hoped that this would be the only time that they would use this are their mode of transportation, but somehow he doubted it would be their last. As is dizziness started to subside he noted that the view was incredible. There were pokemon working everywhere, and there was an area for cataloging the items found. He wasn't sure what sort of things they would find, but this beat their last trip by a long shot.Keivera looked around and spotted the tools the Smeargle had spoken of and went to take a look at what they had to work with. Her two companions followed closely behind. There, among the equipment pile she saw a tool belt which she picked up by way of one of her mouth. She'd have Arlyn fasten the belt to her back later. She wasn't sure if she would be fit for digging, but she was certainly able to carry the tools around.Kent looked at the pile and wasn't sure what, if anything, he should pick up. He was able to dig well enough with his paws, but after a moment he settled his sights on a brush. This he could use to sweep away the dirt away from a point of interest. Between this and his natural digging skills, he thought this would be more than sufficient. The last one of the trio to pick anything from the pile was Arlyn. He was so small and had so little physical strength that he wasn't sure at first that he could use any of the tools, but eventually he spotted a set of fine picks. He would be able to use those easily so he picked those up before bouncing onto Kent's back, and from there up onto Keivera's.After all three members had picked something out of the equipment pile she led them to a spot where they could begin digging. There were a few of the workers nearby so Keivera thought it was as good a spot as any. While Kent began to dig with his paws, Keivera had Arlyn secure the tool belt -with its various small tools- around her midsection. It wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world, but it would do. Then, she turned her sights to where Kent was digging to see if the spot looked promising.((And team Catalyst would roll 35, nothing found this post. Total points: -1 ))Team VerrucktMembers Present: Viper & Mortimer This was an annoyance. The bell made her head hurt. Why did they have to use a bell? Begrudgingly, Viper headed out her team's door which was propped open so that she and her co-captain could get in and out easily since neither possessed hands. Viper didn't even wait to see if her co-captain was coming or not. She assumed he would, but it took too much effort for her to spin around so that she could look. Not only did her shell slow her down, but it obscured most of the world around her as well. Her view could quite literally be called tunnel vision.Mortimer had an equal disdain for the bell, but he didn't let it show. He wasn't thrilled with his captain either, but if he was lugging around an extra two-hundred pounds or so he would probably be a sourpuss too. He followed silently behind his leader as she exited their room, careful to leave the door propped open so in case they needed to return later.Viper couldn't really see the ones up on the platform as the meeting began, but she could hear their voices. From the sound of things there were three pokemon conducting the meeting: Veilmys, Barcel, and someone she didn't know. Sure, she heard his name mentioned but that didn't tell her much since she couldn't see him at present. She was, however, glad that they were going to get the opportunity to dig up some treasure. Then there was an odd feeling as the client teleported them to the dig site.Upon arival, Morty watched as another team went and got tools to dig. After waiting, he did the same as the Growlithe had done and gotten a brush. Then he waited for Viper to choose something from the pile.Viper turned around, trying to see, and finally she spotted her co-captain near the tools that the client had spoken of. She wasn't sure she would be able to use any of them but she would take a look. After a quick glance she deduced that she in fact, would have to dig with her feet and hope for the best because she wasn't asking anyone to pick up a tool for her and place it in her jaws that were hidden inside her shell. She was too proud to do so. So, without a word she walked off away from the other teams and began scraping at the ground with what passed for claws on her stubby front legs.Morty rolled his eyes as his leader bypassed the tools, but what could he do? He couldn't make her ask for help. Resigned, he followed Viper and positioned himself in front of her that way she would know he was there to help her dig, and also to watch her back since she couldn't see anything behind her without turning around completely. Barcel had mentioned the possibility of running into theives and he didn't want any to get the drop on him or Viper. Pulling his thoughts back to the present, Morty looked through the dirt already moved by his captain. He doubted that they would find anything so quickly, but it didn't hurt to look.((And Team Verruckt would roll 30, found bronze ring this post. Total points: 2 ))

Skye & Quil & ZahraSkye shivered at the familiar sensation of a teleport spell. She hadn’t been subjected to such abilities in a long time- not since their final battle against Arceus, at least. The memory of that fight had left her with a lingering unease that seemed to creep under his skin, but she made no mention of it to her teammates. Even Quil had not been there for that fight, and she shuddered to think of what he might think or say if he knew.
Zahra fluttered her white wings with impatience, though she didn’t seem terribly eager to get to work. ”This is my first mission? Digging up old artifacts? I thought that you two were rescue workers, not pilfering treasure hunters,” she muttered accusingly to Quil, who clung to his usual place on Skye’s harness. ”I didn’t come here to rob graves.”
Quil frowned, concerned by his new team member’s lack of respect. True, she did have a point. This was not in line with what you could normally expect a rescue team to do, but it was still a part of their responsibility to the guild that they would come when called. ”Not all of our jobs are going to be rescue missions, Zahra. Sometimes larger clients will call on multiple teams at once to help them with work. It’s how the guild balances its books to keep us all fed.”
The Togetic tilted her head a little, her expression changing to one of a more inquisitive nature. ”So we do contract work?” she questioned. ”I’m still not sure how comfortable I am with this, to be quite honest with you.”
Skye finally turned to face their newest teammate, her ears pricked in concern. ”We’re not taking from archaeological sites for profit. Claudius would have a fit if we were that disrespectful about artifacts and historical discoveries.” The Espeon’s voice was soothing, trying to draw the unexperienced Togetic away from questioning her partner. Quil was a very quiet, sensitive Pokemon. She would rather argue out the logic with Zahra herself, at least in this case. ”Besides that, I think it’s important that we do work like this. We need to protect our history and learn more about other cultures as much as we need to help Pokemon directly. It’s not our specialty, but it can still be good for us.”
Zahra relaxed, nodding. ”I guess I can agree with logic like that,” she relented, fluttering her wings to lift herself off of the ground. Within a few moments, she had flown off to gather their toolkit and had returned with a handful of small tools for digging out the artifacts and clearing debris. ”I’m not keen on digging, but I can help carry things back and forth for you if you need a hand.”
Skye smiled, accepting one of the tools with a gentle burst of psychic energy. Quil would obviously work without tools of any kind, as many were the size of his own body, but he took to the work with great vigour despite this.
Within a few minutes, they had settled around a small patch of land that had been marked out by the archaeological team. There were already some glints of metal that were visible through a thin veneer of soil, so they worked on those sections first. After a few minutes of cautious digging and some probing with psychic energy, Skye and Quil were able to lift out a small golden locket from the soil. This, of course, was promptly carried back by Zahra in order to redeem their “points”.
[[ Team Sunstrike: 2 points ]] Ghost & AtiusUnlike Team Sunstrike, Team Spectre had set to work almost immediately after their arrival. Ghost trotted obediently along behind her giant metal bodyguard, with the latter leading the way to the area of the dig site with the strongest magnetic pull. If this was to be a competition, he supposed that he might as well attempt to win.
”So why is it that we’re digging up someone’s personal belongings? Surely they wouldn’t be burying anything of value.” Ghost wasn’t terribly knowledgeable on the subject of archaeology, and so she was simply following the protective Metang on the sole reason that she had been asked to do so.
Atius blinked his deep orange eyes, staring down at the pretty little Absol. She was not very experienced, but her naivety had grown on him to some degree. It would be tolerable to spend extended periods of time with the female, even once he had factored in the many questions she asked him. ”This is an archaeological site. The Pokemon who work here study ancient artifacts in order to become more knowledgeable about the past. It is one of the ways in which we understand our history and how we can learn about other cultures.” His voice was very deep and commanding, as though he were the true leader of the team. In the eyes of both Pokemon, he very much had assumed that role.
Ghost nodded, accepting his explanation without question. ”So we’re to be careful when digging them up, correct?” She was planning to use her claws and dig directly on this assignment, as it would be much easier than either of them attempting to handle the difficult tools they had been given.
Atius twitched in surprise as a small, metallic goblet shot out of the loose soil and stuck to his steel belly with a loud clanking noise. He shot his partner a dull glance, sighing with frustration. ”Yes, little one. We are meant to be very careful,” he replied evenly.
[[ Team Spectre: 2 points ]] KeiranKeiran had been heading out for the afternoon when he had been called by the guild for his first proper assignment. This was perhaps not what he had been expecting, but he was keen to participate nonetheless.
He accepted some of the archaeological tools that were offered to him, though he understood very little about their actual purpose. He would have to utilize them to the best of his abilities, and hope that he did not damage or destroy any of the precious artifacts.
He began by removing a chunk of soil with the largest of the digging tools, being very cautious about whether or not he hit something solid beneath the dirt. Then, as the soil had been pushed aside, he began to hollow out the sides of the hole, expanding his way outward into an open pit. If he worked in layers, he could be more assured that he wasn’t missing anything during his dig.
The Riolu felt the tip of his spade touch something metal, and he quickly removed the bulky tool, digging it out with a mixture of a delicate metal pick and his bare paws. Soon, he had pulled a shining metal badge from the soil, and brought it back with him to hand over to their Smeargle client.

Cimm decided that teleportation was not his favorite method of transportation. It was an odd sense that made his stomach drop, yet felt like he had no stomach at all. It thankfully lasted only for a moment. Soon he found himself on solid ground next to a whooping Aron.
"Wow! That was awesome! Do it again!" Nuna shouted loudly. Cimm flinched at the volume of her voice, recalling the previous gathering of the Teams and how she had done nearly the exact thing before.
"Shut it, Nuna. Weren't you listening? We're here for the treasure." He really hated repeating himself. Nuna seemed to need the reminder, though, and since her eyes lit up with excited anticipation the feline knew it had been wise to do so. The little steel creature looked around in excitement, spotting other Pokémon gathering tools to excavate with and bounding over to them.
"I can't believe I've been reduced to such menial labor." Kennick's obnoxious whining made Cimm roll his eyes as he followed Nuna over to the tools. He ignored the annoyed huff coming from the dragon as he watched with amusement as Nuna tried in vain to pick up a shovel meant for Pokemon with the right appendages.
"You're going to have to dig, idiot." Cimm gruffly scoffed, motioning with a flick of his head over to a space where some Team's were using their paws or other means than tools to retrieve the artifacts.
Nuna's eyes dulled greatly, "You mean I have to get dirty...? But I just polished!" A truly sorrowful whimper came from the dual type that the Team captain promptly ignored.
"Then you can just sit back and watch. I don't think you'd be the best choice for such delicate work anyways." He huffed as he turned without another glance and head to a rather wide open patch of untouched ground. Nuna mumbled something under her breath that Cimm didn't bother to decipher with his keen hearing. As he began to dig he paused, looking up at the ghostly member of his team that had been silently following him from above since they're teleportation. A thought crossed his mind as he shifted his gaze to all the other Teams present.
"Mana." He called in an almost inaudible whisper that brought the purple Pokémon instantly to his side, "You're not going to be much help during this task. Just run some recon instead. Stay low." He made sure his tone clearly let the ghost know that this was an order, not a request. Mana nodded and became intangible in the next moment, leaving no trace that it was ever there.
Satisfied that the ghost would do its job, Cimm carefully turned his attention to the dirt in front of him and began clawing gently at it.
His patient digging seemed to pay off, and about four inches into the dirt, he saw the glimmer of something silvery beneath the dust. Getting excited suddenly, the feline used both paws to scoop away dirt until he had fully uncovered a rather large silver bangle, studded with red gems.
"An impressive piece...." Kennick's voice sounded almost unwilling to admit it as he came up to see what he had found. Nuna was next to bound over and go googly eyed at the bracelet.
"Okay! I'll start digging!" She announced as she began pawing at the ground as well, urging a grumpy Kennick to do so as well. Cimm shook his head as he slipped the oversized bracelet over his wrist and went to report it as found.

 Bahadur&Herbert
Bahadur arrived without much thought on the mode of transportation to the grounds where the assignment was. His gaze shifted sideways to his newly assigned partner. The dark grey, floating, bespectacled Pokémon was staring at him through those unreadable yellow eyes of his. Bahadur found it utterly unacceptable that he couldn't read the steel-type's emotions like most others. Maybe, though, this was why he was paired up with the strangely quiet little fellow.
"Let's work over here," The Dunsparce told the Bronzor, who just silently followed him from above as they made their way to an open space. Without regard to how the other Pokémon was going to have a hand in this work, the normal type began wriggling around and using the drill on his tail to carefully and hopefully find something worth while. He wasn't a competitive person by nature, but he did think that getting to work right away would leave a better impression on the other Teams than dilly dallying around.
Unfortunately the entire space around his immediate area seemed to be empty of any artifacts or treasures. Humming in thought, Bahadur flapped his wings to guide himself out of the hole he'd dug himself in and started someplace else.

VenariKatherine & Arturius & TyPoints: 0
"This is dumb." They were the first words Ty had said since he had arrived in the hall and he had spoken them after being teleported. His dash to the hall had been much more exuberant than his disposition afterwards. He had been expecting a fight. He had been expecting to have to beat somebody up and he had been both pleased and excited about it. Instead, he was being told that they were going to go "treasure hunting" and that he was being instructed to dig through the dirt for treasures. It wasn't the kind of thing he was interested in, it wasn't he had joined the guild to do and it wasn't a part of his job description within the guild. He would have accepted it without protest if he had been asked to explore but this was just... this was tedious.
Inwardly, Katherine agreed with his sentiment. She hadn't been wanting or even expecting a fight, though she had been prepared for one, after how they had been gathered together before but this all seemed a little... basic. It certainly wasn't something that the guild, which was composed primarily of fighters and adventurers, really needed to be brought in on. On the other hand, she could at least respect that the guild probably did whatever they did for a reason. Whatever the case was, it was work for them to do and it was work the guild expected them to do. Besides, it was interesting enough. She had always looked at old things like this before she had joined the guild, so there was that... not that she wanted to get on her hands and knees to dig. "Just think of it like a chore."
"Yeah, yeah..." Ty dismissed it but he set to work willingly enough. Katherine unclipped Arturius from her belt and, after quickly making sure it was alright, left him near the pile of tools. Both Ty and Katherine set to digging.
CutDonovan & TheodorePoints: 0
"Well then."
Donovan had greeted the alarm with confusion. Theodore has greeted it with a complacent waltz towards the main hall. Suffice it to say, Donovan was somewhat less than amused by the idea of being dragged out to the middle of nowhere to dig some holes. So amused, in fact, that he opted not to do so at all. After some annoyed muttering he simply went to the sidelines which is where he would wait until they were sent back home since it wasn't like he could teleport himself. Of course, no matter how angry and displeased he was by the tedious turn of events, he wouldn't question them as a whole; he had a strong enough respect for the leadership of the guild. It was a part of his culture. If he really felt Veilmys incompetent and weak then he would simply attempt to kill Veilmys but he wasn't willing to blindly challenge the Sylveon without having seen what he was capable of. And of course, no matter how obvious it was that he was refusing to participate, nobody could actually say anything about it. His body wasn't suited for digging and he wasn't capable of holding any tools. How was he supposed to do anything?
Theodore on the other hand was willing enough to participate, not out of any real interest in digging but out of a curiousity for what he might find. Though, it was somewhat awkward going, given that he had to "wrap" the end of his leaves around the tools.
RobinJessica & TobiasPoints: 0
Perhaps in contrast to much of the guild, Jessica and Tobias were actually quite pleased with the turn of events. It was vastly preferable to an actual crisis and for Tobias the attraction was obvious: he loved round things, shiny things and especially round things that were shiny. Perhaps the fact that nobody had ever explicitly told him that he wouldn't be allowed to keep what he found was a factor of this. Jessica was much less enthralled with the work but she found it no less agreeable. Menial labour like this was a part of her life. Sometimes it was simply what you were paid to do. She had done this kind of thing plenty of times in the past and it was a sort of nostalgic thing to go back to that sort of work as opposed to any kind of adventure into the unknown. With a spade in hand and a sifter nearby, she set to work.((Edit: Just to make this clear but I'll be including the effects of my rolls in the post after that roll in order to avoid frequent editing. This includes point totals. ex: Post 1's roll takes effect in post 2, etc. This is just my personal choice but I'm voicing it in case anyone gets confused!))

Skye & Quil & ZahraSkye used her psychic abilities to shift soil out of Quil’s way as the tiny Joltik attempted to search for further treasures. They had quickly realized that despite their initial luck, only Quil was particularly suited to this sort of work. Skye’s paws, though small and gentle, weren’t suited to digging.
Zahra, being bipedal, was a little better at it but was working several feet away from her team leaders. She dug much more rapidly than Skye and Quil did. She used her borrowed archaeology tools to search for forgotten treasures, but it was clear that the Togetic was not practiced in using them. She seemed to approach the situation with a nervous expression and a shaky hand, very frightened of breaking whatever delicate artifact might lurk beneath the surface of the dirt.
Skye glanced between her two partners, concerned both that Quil might become buried in his own dig site and that Zahra was still uncomfortable with this variety of work.
There was a small yelp from the Togetic, causing Quil to pop his dirt-covered face out of the hole he’d been digging. ”Zahra, are you okay?” he squeaked, his teal eyes wide with surprise.
Skye twitched her ears in concern, only to find that the Togetic had indeed found something. Unfortunately, it was the case that the artifact she’d found was also broken. The little fairy held the broken stone tablet in her hands and looking very sorry to see the edges crumbling.
The Espeon approached her and glanced over the shattered tablet, trying to discern the inscription on the surface. Covered in dirt and cracked all the way across, it was unreadable. Thankfully it also appeared that it wasn’t Zahra’s fault that it was broken. ”It looks like it was broken a long time ago- you can see weathering on the broken edges,” she murmured comfortingly. ”We’ll just have to keep looking.
Zahra looked to her captain with a grateful expression, and nodded. She would bring the remains of the tablet to their client, though it was worth very little after this point.
[[ Team Sunstrike: 1 points ]] Ghost & AtiusGhost dug, her lovely white paws already muddied with the dusty soil around their dig site. It was partially sand, judging from the feel of it, but that made it much easier for her to dig through. It was perhaps a little rougher on the pads of her feet, but she was no worse off for it.
The Absol had never particularly minded getting dirty. Even her first mission had left her coated in mud. Dirt was only unfortunate when you had to appear at your best or when it was combined with the chilling sensation of swamp water. She didn’t mind getting wet, but she would much prefer that she had a barrier of dry fur between her and the cold weather.
Distracted, the Absol was alerted to another archaeological find by the return of a loud crashing noise.
The alarmed team captain spun on her heels to find her Metang partner less than five feet behind her. Atius groaned in irritation, using his psychic abilities to pull a beautiful sapphire-studded necklace from off of his face. The delicate jewelry appeared not to be harmed from its unusual removal out of the dig site. Perhaps it was sturdier than it appeared.
”How is it that you’re able to find these things so easily, Atius?” Her voice was soft and submissive, trying not to laugh as she helped him to untangle the ends of the necklace from his face.
Atius stared at her. ”Magnetic personality.”
[[ Team Spectre: 4 points ]] KeiranKeiran rubbed his arms, wishing that he had more than the ribbon tied near his shoulder to keep him warm. His fur was usually warm enough, but the thick mud of his dig site made him shiver a little bit. He reminded himself that he could enjoy the comforts of home when he was done his work for the day. This was his job, and he would do it well while he was here.
The Riolu dipped his spade into the soil, continuing to dig. He was truly not certain about the specific digging strategies of archaeologists. Perhaps it would have been wiser simply to bring in the treasure hunting teams, rather than the rest of the guild in addition to them.
As he lifted the shovel again, he realized with a jolt of horror that a chunk of a strange paper-like material was lifted with it. He pulled the document from the blade, brushing away the dirt in order to check how much damage had been done. It was nearly torn in half, and he quickly realized that excavating such a thing was likely beyond his skill level. He would continue working, but it was saddening to think that he was now responsible for the damages done to a potentially very significant find.

Venari Katherine & Arturius & Ty Points: -1
...Nothing. She hadn't managed to find anything at all. The dirt moved through her hands, it lightly stained her knees and it became a bit heavy entirely too quickly. She dug in spite of it but all she turned up was more and more dirt. She glanced over to Ty to see him eying something but he tossed it away. It looked like, whatever it was, it had been split into pieces. She faintly hoped that it was just a clump of dirt that he had been examining but she somewhat doubted that that was the case.
Arturius, on the other hand, was a sword. Swords were bad at digging.
Cut Donovan & Theodore Points: -1
The only thing Donovan dug was his feet into the ground. Theodore chipped away at the surface in a stoic, mindless fashion. He was wondering what it was that he would fine and what, if anything, he could glean from it. Maybe it would be something interesting? Maybe it would be some old artifact or some text that had gotten buried under years of dirt? Maybe it would be something with an inscription on it? Although he was far from excited in both mind and appearance, he was genuinely curious as to what he would find. For now, all he would find is a rock. That was slightly less interesting.
Robin Jessica & Tobias Points: -1
Jessica dug, piled dirt into the shaker as relevant and continued her work tirelessly. It felt good. The sun was warm, the dirt was loose and she had the privilege and pleasure of working among a large number of her comrades. Many of them seemed to dislike what they were being made to do but that fact didn't put her off in the slightest. It was normal to expect people to dislike the work and she had often been in environments like that to one extent or another. She simply dug, piled, sifted and continued on endlessly without reservation or quarrel. It was a good thing too since if she hadn't been so focused on her work she might have noticed Tobias recklessly scratching through the ground and kicking up a veritable spray of dirt as he went. Only god knows what precious artifacts could have been destroyed in his ceaseless and inconsiderate digging. Of course though, only non-round things would be destroyed by such an effotr so he didn't care.

Cimm was walking back, actually proud of his accomplishment for once. He was in the Treasure Hunter's group after all. Finding a nice artifact on his first try was a great way to bolster his ego. Unfortunately he forgot his motto; Never be too positive. Bad things always happened when he felt too sure of himself. He was reminded of that motto when he neared his chosen loot spot by a resounding cracking noise that made his heart sink.
"Crap!" Nuna swore suddenly as he approached her from behind. Kennick stood in front of her, eyes already on Cimm with a look of frustration glinting out from his dull yellow gaze.
"Nuna? What. Did you. Do?" His words were tightly seethed from his clenched teeth. Nuna jolted and spun around, revealing to him the sight of a gold plated vase, cracked in half by a jagged crevice.
"Perhaps what yu mentioned earlier about this dolt joining this excavation was true." Kennick obviously found himself a lot funnier than he was as he snickered out the words. Cimm ignored the dragon for the moment as he glared harshly at Nuna.
"You are not allowed to dig anymore." He caused himself to breath evenly and speak in a low tone so that he wouldn't cause a scene. "Go turn that in and sit this one out, you clumsy fool."
"You're the clumsy fool..." Nuna mutter in humiliation as she picked up the pieces and moved them. Cimm had thought the Aron would have snapped back more adamantly, but he supposed her love for all things glittery made her see his point of view for once. Grunting in frustration, Cimm simply turned from his co-captain's retreating form and gave his glare to Kennick.
"Get to work already." He snapped shortly as he turned and didn't wait for a reply from the Shelgon, finding what looked to be a decent place to dig.

 Bahadur&Herbert
Bahadur grunted once again in frustration as yet another attempt at digging for treasures proved fruitless. He fluttered out of the hole he had dug and glared up at the Bronzor looking blankly at him. He ignored Herbert, which he thought was a strange name by the way, and went back to pick out another spot that he thought may or may not be the place he was looking for.
"If there's any way you could help, just let me know!" The Dunsparce said way more cheerily than he felt. The steel type offered no reply other than a slight tilt backwards. Since Bahadur had no idea what that was supposed to mean, he simply started digging again.

Team Savage Active Members: Demon, Nightmare Demon blinked as he reoriented himself from the teleport, not particularly used to that mode of transportation. Once he'd regained his bearings, he looked around before turning to his partner. "What we do? Who we fight?" He'd tried to listen to the Guildmaster, but he just didn't get it. Nightmare chuckled lightly in amusement, the demonic-looking Ponyta explaining. "We're helping dig for artifacts - basically, start digging and pay attention to anything that looks like it might not belong underground." With that, he grabbed a shovel and started digging. Demon considered that a moment. "Oh... okay." It seemed a bit of an odd thing to do - what possible use could random items from the ground have? - but he supposed the Guildmaster had his reasons for having them all do this. With that in mind, he began digging as fast as he could... which, since he actually knew the move Dig, meant that soon dirt was flying all over the place as the Sandslash started tunneling around looking for shiny objects. Sure enough, soon he found a rather old-looking sword, picking it up and starting to carry it back to see if this was one of those "artifact" things they were looking for. Points: 2 --------------------------------------------------------- Team Oddball Active Members: EVERYONE Q grinned like the lunatic he was as he grabbed a shovel. "All right, people! Let's dig up some loot! FOR SCIENCE!" he roared out, starting to dig with impressive fervor. Guile shook his head in amused exasperation, but nevertheless followed his "glorious leader's" instructions; however, rather than grabbing a shovel, he started digging the old-fashioned way, trusting his Sableye instincts to guide him. The others similarly started digging in their own ways: Rika began scooping up large amounts of dirt with her pseudo-jaws, Pippa and Luna began digging with their own shovels, and Stormageddon began coordinating with Rush using their own tiny shovels in a surprisingly efficient effort. In fact, they soon uncovered what seemed to be a large gold statue of an Electrode, the duo starting to roll it over to where everyone else was bringing their artifacts. Points: 2

"Hey, I found something." Kennick's voice caught Cimm's attention as he looked over his shoulder from his digging work. The Shelgon was gently rolling something out from the ground. It was a second vase, identical to the first except fully intact. Cimm nodded a sharp approval.
"Great. Go turn it in." His voice was toneless as he turned back to burrowing into the ground. A grunt of displeasure sounded behind him.
"Absolutely no gratitude, the ungrateful, disrespectful, arrogant..." Kennick's voice trailed off as he went to deliver the fragile item, not that Cimm was paying any heed anyways.

 Bahadur&Herbert
The Dunsparce was getting irritated at this point. Which wasn't really irritated in the sense that most Pokémon felt the emotion. In Bahadur it was merely a small itch at the back of his brain. He was so unused to feeling the sensation though that it bothered him. He should have found something by now. He supposed there was a reason he had been more drawn to the Mercenary group than anything.
A small ringing noise brought the normal type's attention upwards as he saw Herbert hovering low over one spot of dirt, vibrating violently as he rang out subtly.
"Did you... find something?" The Dunsparce asked hesitantly, deciding whether that deduction was the case, or if the Bronzor was having a seizure of some sort. Not really buying the latter, Bahadur hovered over to the designated spot and dug a shallow hole. Almost immediately a glinting stone was revealed. The Dunparce flipped it out with his tail to reveal a gold ring with a rather large diamond attached to it. "Great work! Keep it up!" He said in hopes of getting the dual type to do most of the work for him. The Bronzor stopped shaking immediately and tilted itself backwards again, leaving Bahadur to deliver the item.

Skye & Quil & ZahraQuil popped his head out of the hole that they’d been digging, his expression rather sad. The entire body of the little Joltik was now covered in sandy soil. ”I don’t think we’re going to find much more in this spot. I haven’t even seen signs that there might be something buried nearby,” he admitted, before closing his eyes and mouth to rub the dust from his face.
Skye extended a gentle paw and scooped the little golden bug out of his excavated hole. ”Are you sure that this site doesn’t have anything else of value in it? I don’t want to leave something behind,” she replied uneasily.
The Joltik shook his head. ”Empty.”
Flattening her ears in frustration, the Espeon turned to Zahra. ”How’s your luck going?” she questioned hopefully, craning her neck to peer into the hole that Zahra had started.
The Togetic leaned on her shovel and snorted. ”I think you’re asking the wrong fairy. I haven’t found anything that isn’t broken,” she replied, fluttering her wings. ”Let’s just switch locations for a while. I don’t want to be the team that finishes work with nothing to show for it.”
As Skye glanced to the Joltik in her paws, she slowly nodded. If her partners wanted to move to a different area to work in, she would happily follow them. This was far from a life or death situation.
[[ Team Sunstrike: 0 points ]] Ghost & AtiusClunk.
Ghost winced as she watched another item burst forth from the soil and smash into the x-shaped, metal bar that extended across her partner’s face. It looked very much like it would hurt to have some dirty, metal artifact come hurtling out of the ground to smash you in the face, but perhaps it was different for someone with a body of magnetized steel.
The Absol hurried over to help her partner for the third time that afternoon, carefully trying to tug the metal chain from his face. Her stomach sunk with guilt as she pulled it free and reached for the broken pendant that was lodged in the Metang’s shoulder joint. She hadn’t intended to break it.
”It is fine, little one. Mercenaries were never meant for such delicate work.”
She looked up at her partner, surprised by the words of comfort. Then again, he was meant to be her bodyguard. Perhaps this was just another way in which he fulfilled that role. Either way, his support was very much appreciated by the nervous Absol. She rubbed her face against his arm, and took the broken pendant away to be handled by the appropriate Pokemon.
[[ Team Spectre: 3 points ]] KeiranThe benefit to Keiran’s initial blunder with the parchment was that it also alerted him to the presence of a second document. This piece of paper, hidden in the soil beneath the first, was much less delicate and had simply bended when the space pressed against it.
The Riolu worked tentatively at the edges of the hole, working outward to free the corners of the precious document. He made use of the brush to help remove the dust away from the parchment, all the while astounded by the incredible condition of these papers. The soil above had been damp, but it was clear that underneath it was a much drier, sandy material. It was truly a stroke of luck for him.
When he finally freed the paper from its soil prison, he admired the new find. It seemed to be describing some sort of ritual, but the ancient text was not a language that he’d had the pleasure of learning. A dead language, perhaps?
He conceded that he was a rather poor researcher, but he was happy to return this new and more structurally-sound prize to their supervisor.

Cimm and Kennick dug in near silence, Nuna standing nervously off to the side where she paced and fidgeted in her inability to do anything. She was probably getting impatient with their lack of ability to find any further artifacts right away. It seemed their luck with discovery was running out. Cimm could almost feel the anxiety rolling off of the Aron. He knew she wouldn't be able to keep quiet for long.
"I can help, you know?" Nuna blurted out as if she had heard the cat's last thought. He grimaced as he ignored the girl and continued digging, as did Kennick. The Aron gave a grunt and a whimper at the same time, resulting in a strange garbled noise that hurt Cimm's ears it was so annoying. "C'mon Cimm! I have, like, a sixth sense for shiny things! Let me at least show you where to dig."
"No." Cimm instantly replied in a bored manner without lifting his eyes.
"What kind of ridiculous sixth sense is that, anyways?" Kennick snorted from his position across the way. Cimm didn't move his eyes to the two, but knew Nuna would be glaring daggers into the dragon at this point.
"An awesome one! So come on and let me back in!" The whine in Nuna's voice could have been served with cheese it was so strong. Still, Cimm was not one to give in just because of a few petty words and he just ignored the Aron as he continued his search.

"How peculiar..." Bahadur hummed as he watched the plated Pokémon hover over the ground slowly, apparently searching for more artifacts. It was taking a while though. The Dunsparce didn't mind the wait, though, as long as he was able to actually get the treasures uncovered sooner or later. So for now he would sit back and watch his underling work. He was also searching for any ways to understand the psychic and steel type. In this environment the Bronzor was showing more activity than he had in their shared room and Bahadur did not want to miss a single moment of anything that could tip him off as to this mysterious being's personality.
Obedient was one, which was very important to know. But there was much more to learn, and the Dunsparce wouldn't be comfortable with this partner at his side until he learned all of its secrets.

Skye & Quil & ZahraSkye carefully brushed the dirt from the surface of the large, wooden trunk. She could see the ornate carvings, only partially eroded by the harsh weather and sandy soil. Moving places had clearly done them a favour, as they had certainly found something of value.
Zahra and Quil worked at separate sides of the chest, with both of them doing the more delicate work of removing the loose soil from around the more intricate components of the carving. Skye was instead working to remove the chest as a whole from its place in the ground.
After a few short minutes, the trio had their prize fully-cleaned and separated from the surrounding soil. The chest turned out to have inlaid gemstones along the outer edges, and a significant amount of detail that none of the teammates had expected to find in such an old artifact. It was simply unfortunate that it was too heavy for them to desire lifting it alone.
Skye flickered her ears, unwilling to lift it with psychic for fear of dropping it. Zahra’s arms were too short to be of much help in lifting it and Quil was certainly too small to possess the strength, so they had to turn to another guild member to help Skye in shifting their new-found prize.
An familiar Riolu was quickly found amongst the attending guild members. Skye and Keiran had a brief reunion, with each Pokemon equally surprised to see the other present. More to the point, Keiran was quite surprised to find that the tiny Eevee had become such a delicate-looking Espeon.
Proper conversation was put on hold as Skye and Keiran proceeded to lift the chest from the hole, and carry it safely to be counted in favour of Team Sunstrike.
[[ Team Sunstrike: 2 points ]] Ghost & AtiusGhost blinked in surprise as she unearthed a second necklace. This one felt much softer, and showed greater signs of erosion, but it was also made of an entirely different metal.
The necklace was gold, which was why it had not gone flying to attach itself to her magnetic partner, but it was also very beautiful. Droplet-shaped diamonds hung from the intricate structure of the choker. Though it would obviously need careful care and cleaning, this was the sort of jewelry that would make for an incredible family heirloom.
She felt a moment of sadness that someone had lost such a beautiful belonging.
The Absol glanced toward her lazing partner, as he hovered a little way away from their team’s space on the excavation site. It was clear that he was not eager to do damage to another artifact by nature of his magnetized body.
She lifted the necklace up to show him what she had found and hurried off to hand over her find.
[[ Team Spectre: 5 points ]] KeiranKeiran returned to his excavation site, thoroughly surprised. It had taken him a while to realize that he knew the Espeon who had been working nearby, but she had certainly recognized him. The little Eevee he remembered from a battle long-past was certainly a child no longer. She was quite pretty, though certainly still too young for him to consider her appearance past that point.
Perhaps Riley would be interested to know about her, as he vaguely remembered that his old team had been in frequent contact with her family. That being said, he doubted that he would remember it after a full day of work.
He sighed softly, realizing that he’d wasted much of his own time in order to help Team Sunstrike with their discovery. At least they were making progress as a guild.

"I think I found something again." Kennick stated with a smudge of smugness in his voice. Cimm's ears perked as he head over to see what his newest team member had found. Nuna was itching to know too, as it was apparent as she stretched her neck as far out as possible to see what it was. When the cat looked down into the small indent in the dirt he frowned instantly.
"What is that?" He asked rhetorically as he cocked his head in confusion. The item was the same color as the dirt, long and crusty looking. It held a familiar look to it, and Cimm backed up in horrified disgust as he realized what it was. "If that's what I think it is, then it won't be of any value." He stated honestly, a sudden smirk flashing across his features as he just realized what he could lord over the dragon, "Unless you think petrified dung has some value on the market nowadays?"
"What are you- Oh my! How atrocious!" Kennick interrupted himself as he jerked away from the find, staring at his feet as if they wold fall off at any moment. Nuna burst out laughing from the sidelines, and not even Cimm could hide the chuckle that escaped his lungs as he turned back to dig in a location far away from where the bathroom apparently had been.

 Bahadur&Herbert
Bahadur was getting tired of following the floating metal detector around, of watching the disk like form making absolutely no noise and no odd movements other than the ones he was making already. The Dunsparce was beginning to think that maybe the Pokémon had no emotions. That could be both advantageous and disadvantageous. he sighed as he looked sideways, noticing the growing pile of rare and unique artifacts.
He had only contributed one piece, and was sure it hadn't even been something worth much. The last thing he wanted was to make a bad impression on his first guild-wide assignment. That would be bad for him in the long run if he ever planned to use any of these Pokémon to his favor at any point in time. Not wanting to be in any unfavorable conditions at any point in time, Bahadur decided to diligently follow the Bronzor further.
