Zahra was sitting on a branch of one of the tall trees of Jauhar, her dark eyes closed, her mismatched antennae twitching slightly out of sync from one another. It was one of those lazy days, the sort where one didn't really feel like doing anything. Probably because it was getting warmer and the warmer it was the less that one wanted to move. There was also a lot less to do in the way of fun then usual. She'd blame that on her uncle, well his bossy mate at least. The redhead seemed determined to move his family, meaning Yaholo and the triplets, away from Jauhar and down to Tale. She understood, but that didn't mean she had to like it. It also didn't mean she wanted to stay home and get stuck helping to pack what the family would be bringing with them.
"Ugh, Jowe-Jo! This is so dumb!" She declared to her twin, opening her eyes, sitting forward some in a manner that squished Sticky a bit as the Alol had been sleeping on her lap. Turning to look at her she said, "I just... I don't get it! Why are our sisters in such a mood over them? Uncle Yaho isn't so bad a guy and the triplets are just... cute! I mean, sure, their kinda weird looking, all mixed and rainbowy, but still! That is no reason to be mean to them!" She complained, feeling that they should just be allowed to stay in Andile... but Rillish didn't seem to like the idea of staying, not wanting his babies or Yaholo getting hurt.
Flopping over onto one side she asked, "Do you think that Sam Sam and Kenny will go too?" They were Yaholo's kids too, so did that mean that the two they had the most fun teasing might go too? Not a thought that Zahra liked in the least bit.

Joweese sat across from her sister, her back against the trunk of a tree, and idly chewed on the side of an apple she'd picked. It was really humid out today, wasn't it? Maybe it was going to rain soon? She didn't really care, honestly, there were more things to worry about than the rain right now. She glanced off towards where her mother had gone earlier in the morning with a friend, Nesrine, and gave her sister a sympathetic look.
"It's incredibly stupid, and someone should talk some sense into these Sisters!" She snapped, immediately sighing and taking another small bite of her apple. "I mean, really, why are they making so much of deal out of hybrids and Earthlings? They share our home and it belongs just as much to them as it does to us! Like, uggggghhh, when have they ever stormed into our homes and forced us to leave? Huh? It never ever happened!"
She pouted, her eyes looking toward the ground, and adjusted her position on the branch.
"Yeah, I heard something like that..." She replied, fidgeting again. "Kenney-kenners is going to Sauti to find somebody. I don't know about Sammy, but uncle Yaho might not want to leave without him, you know?"

Teiluj wandered aimlessly through the forest. Following Tao as he pranced about with his head held high. He seemed to be interested in finding whatever it was he was following and Teiluj welcomed the distraction. There were bruises on her body that still lingered from a fight not to long ago. Certain that they would heal up she let the pain linger. At least nothing had been broken and she was still physically whole. One of her friends V'demhe had returned to pay her a visit and it pleased Teiluj even though some things had unsettled her.
Even the words Isaris had spoken to her not long ago still echoed faintly in her heart but she was feeling better now then she had been. Her pack contained a few food items. A couple pink ear cuffs made of bone, to match the one in her hear and several medicinal ingredients in case she started to feel sick or was accidentally injured while out exploring.
So far nothing seemed to be out of place, taking in a deep sigh as Starline flew past them with a loud squawk. She loved the freedom of the air. But there didn't seem to be much room to fly here in the forest so the large Kinfa had settled on periodically checking in with the hybrid girl before racing towards the canopy to continue her flight.
Teiluj's eyes watched as Starline bolted back for the canopy. Her eyes settled on a pair of alkidike up in the trees. Fear instantly gripped her heart. The last set of Alkidikes she had come across had already given her a piece of their mind. Shivering she looked around. "Tao!" She called out looking around for the once again fleeing Radaku. Oh why did he always disappear like this?

It was one of those situations that just... confused Zahra. She found herself wondering why the halfbreeds bothered everyone else. Sure, if they were going around doing crazy things, bothering the sisters, attacking or killing them, but those that Zahra knew had never done such things. She looked over at her twin, giving a little nod of her head, "Of everyone in the house we seem to cause the most trouble, not them. It's just silly." With all their pranks it was a question why they hadn't gotten kicked out of the house for it. Yet despite everything they still had a good relationship with their various family members, even those that had fallen victim to their pranks. Sitting up again she said, "So KenKen is gonna go? Sauti, huh? Wonder what he's looking for there." She thought on it a moment, her antennae twitching, before she gave a shrug. It was hard to say, Kennet was so good at his secret keeping after all. Lifting a hand to scratch it against her chin Zahra finally said, "I don't want them to go. It's gonna be boring without them!" As though to show them that not everything fun was lost though, a true gift from Aisha at the moment, there was a strange 'squawk' that was able to distract Zahra from her brooding for a moment. Her dark eyes narrowed as she inspected the creature then said, "Hey... JoweJos, does that bird look familiar to you?" There was just something about it that made it seem like she'd seen it before. Not a lot of Kinfa in Jauhar, they seemed to prefer Tale, so it had to mean something, right? Sitting up she starred up at the bird, before looking down when she heard approaching footsteps, the bird's owner, maybe? When the person came into view Zahra gave a squeak of surprise, lunging to her feet, then pointed, "Oh my Aisha! Look! I think that Lulu!" She squealed, then lifted both warms, waving them rapidly in the air, "Teeeeei-Lulu! Up here! It's me Zaza!" She called down, hoping that she'd hear her.

"I KNOOOOW! Augh!" Joweese whined, kicking her legs against the trunk. "It's going to be so boring without Sammy to tease and Kenny to pester! How are we supposed to have fun? Actually go hunting with our other Sisters? They're so mean and..."
Her head flicked right to the bird as it popped into her plane of view. It did look familiar... Where was it's handler? She scooted closer to Zahra and mimicked her body language, before lighting up as soon as she saw Teiluj. It was Tei! Oh, thank Aisha! She hadn't been cast out yet! She waved frantically towards her.
"TEI-TEI! I'm here, too! It's Jo-Jo!" She squealed, continuing to flail. "Come up, come up! Hurry!"

It took a moment before reality hit Teiluj, wait she knew those two girls. She had met the twins as a youngling and boy had they grown. Fondly remembering the time they had shared hunting the bright pink fruit to die someone's things with. It had been that reason that Teiluj had created three bone cuffs for their ears. She had enjoyed their company greatly and wanted to share the joy with them by making them each a gift.
Waving nervously Teiluj smiled up at the girls. "I almost didn't recognize you." Teiluj admitted with a blush. Confused why Alkidikes would be up in the trees of all places. Giving a brief nod at the invite to join them that's exactly what the mixed blooded girl did. Scaling the tree's had become easier for her than when she was a youngling.
"What brings you both out here!?" Teiluj asked excitedly glancing back to the floor as Tao gave a yelp at their separation.

Zahra looked quite pleased when the one that they had called out to really turned out to be Teiluj. How embarrassing would it have been if it was some other mixed blood girl? Of course she supposed that if that had been the case that she'd of just chatting that person up. Once Teiluj had joined them in their tree of choice she sat back down, giving her friend a smile, "Hello there, Lulu, long time no see!" She chirped, giving the blond girl a smile. At least this was some sort of good news to help counter balance all the bad news that they had been getting. At the question Zahra stuck out her tongue and said, "Dealing with all sorts of stupid news cause our sisters are being all..." She trailed off, her antennae twitching for a moment before she said, "Just stupid! Can you believe all the trouble that they are causing? It's driving members of our family away even!" She complained, then lifted a hand, motioning at Teiluj, "How are you doing during all of this?" She asked of her friend. Zahra knew that when it came to Jowe and herself they could get out of arguements by feigning disinterest in the craziness of their older sisters. Those like Teiluj, as well as members of their family, weren't so lucky and it was plain dumb if you asked Zahra... not that anyone of importance did.

Joweese was very happy to see that Teiluj was alright. After all, her mother had made it seem as though all hybrids were being rounded up and slaughtered, so it wasn't like she didn't have something to fear. She wiggled excitedly as Tei climbed the tree and quickly wrapped her arms around the blonde before settling herself beside her.
"Yeah! Our uncle and cousins left because of all these stupid extremists!" She exclaimed, nodding at what Zahra was saying. "But, our mom is convinced that she can take care of them! OH, wait, speaking of that!"
She grasped onto Teiluj's hand and squeezed.
"Please stay safe, okay? Our mom says these extremist ladies are willing to kill anyone who's different than they are." She said. "Promise me you'll be safe, Tei?"

Teiluj smiled back at Zahra her eyes danced easily between the twins. Learning just how to better tell them apart. Listening closely until her hands were scooped up by Jowe. "I will try to stay safe. I've already run into a few and as much as I would like to leave, to give them room to do whatever it is they want... I can't leave Jauhar right now." A sudden bright blush lit her face. "Y-you s-s-s-see The-there is this O-oban... I... I-i'm working at trying to make him better." Glancing away Teiluj tried to think up something she could use to change the subject. Not quite confident that the girls wanted to hear all about her crush. Suddenly remembering the friendship earrings in her bag Teiluj promptly pulled her hands away with a smile. Searching the bag Teiluj finally produced two ear cuffs identical to the one in her ear. "Remember when we gathered the pink die? W-well I found some small... animal bones nearby so..." Teiluj opened her palm to show the ear cuffs. "I wanted to make a memento we could all share... uhm... like a mark of friendship." Teiluj pointed to her ear and looked back between the twins again. "You know... like a friendship token?" That was how things were done right?

As Joweese told Teiluj to stay safe Zahra was nodding along with the words, not wanting to see their pretty friend hurt because of something so foolishing as hair and eye color. Giving a little grumbling sound Zahra said, "I bet if our Mother Aisha could move she turn all those extremists over her... erm... roots, and give them all bright red backsides!" She declared before she paused, obviously getting a mental image of just that happening, before she set to giggling, "Oh my... can you just see that in your head? Ahahahaha." It would be worth watching that much Zahra was certain of. "Wait, you've already had run ints with them? Oh! Those jerks! I swear if I had a weapon I'd... do... something." She wasn't sure what, maybe give all of her more extreme sisters a swat to the backside in Aisha's place? Of course that anger seemed to fizzle away into nothing as their friend explained to them that she couldn't leave Jauhar at the moment because of 'there was this Oban'. If she was just trying to heal the guy that would be one thing but th eway that she seemed to be blushing and studdering, made Zahra's eyes light up and her antennae lift up high, "Wait, wait... an Oban, huh? Lulu, do you have a booooyfriend?" She asked of her friend in a sing song voice, wanting to know all of the juicy details. While Zahra herself didn't exacty have any interest in the Obans, men, or really anyone else at the moment she did find herself kind of curious about it all. Especially given the way that Teiluj acted when talking about the Oban. A moment later though their friend seemed to be trying to distract them with pretty ear cuffs, something that she leaned in to see, before picking up the one that was offered to her, "Oooo, this is sooo pretty, Teilulu!" She chirped, looking it over for a moment, then chuckle, "Friendship earrings, huh? You really are too cute Tei-Tei." She told her friend before she added, "Though shiny distraction or not I still want to know about your Oban." The present, while amazing, wouldn't distract her that well!

Joweese seemed to relax as Teiluj assured her that she would be safe, but remained transfixed on her friend as she spoke. Wait, she wasn't leaving Jauhar? The pink dreaded girl tilted her head and sunk into a stunned expression. An Oban she was trying to make better? NO WAY! Teiluj... Teiluj...
Was so COOL!
"You have a boyfriend! Oh, wow! WOW!" She squealed, her hands coming up to shake excitedly at the sides of her face. "Can we meet him? Is he nice? Does he like presents? Like flowers?"
She turned to Zahra, practically gleaming with excitement, and seemed prepared to let out another squeal, only to be distracted by Teiluj again. She'd missed quite a bit of her words while being excited and paused. Ear cuffs, friendship token? Did she want to give them a gift?
"Oh my gosh, Tei! That would be wonderful!" She cried, nodding rapidly. "I want mine to be pink and... Rainbow! Rainbow pink!"

Teiluj just felt like staring. There was such an heavy amount of stimulation coming from joweese that she really didn't know how to react. Aside from her own involuntary blushes that quickly took over her features. "W-w-w-w...well he-he's not my... my... m.." Teiluj struggled with the words, with the phrase with the entire situation. "I don't... I don't... r-really know... what he likes..." Teiluj mulled the thought's of Nkole around in her head blushing a little more.
Glancing between Joweese and Zahra, Teiluj tried to brush off the topic of the extremists. It bothered her that she was still considered so weak to them. Blinking as the conversation turned back to Nkole. "w-well maybe you could meet him sometime. He's really nice..."
Keeping her hand held out to Joweese with the token sitting in her palm Teiluj nodded. "Y-yeah, I... I thought you might like it... but it's just solid pink. The color that we found together that day..."

Zahra couldn't help but to laugh a bit, "Flowers for a gift? I don't know of any guys who might want that sort of thing Jo-Jo, unless you're suggesting that we use said flowers to dye him?" She thought about it for a moment, giggled, then shook her head, "Naw, we should be nice to Tei's boyfriend. Dyeing him upon our first meeting with him wouldn't be the best way to make friends." Though it would be endlessly amusing in Zahra's eyes and what the world needed these days was a lot more in the way of humor. Everyone was so painfully serious that it made Zahra want to throw something!
Looking over to Teiluj she gave her a smile, "Well, you just need to go on dates and stuff with him, that's how you learn about him!" She chirped, then pursed her lips, "Man, a date could be fun... instead I'm stuck with Jowe all the time instead of some cutie." She said this while playfully nudging her sister to show her that she wasn't at all serious about what she'd just said. She really didn't mind spending time with her twin after all, she loved her.
Looking over the gift they had been given she said, "They are a really nice pink! We should show them off to Sam, Joweese see what he thinks about them." Something that caused her to giggle with amusement. She was pretty certain from here on out that pink would be Sam's least favorite color out of all the colors in the world. She might almost feel bad about it if it wasn't so damn funny to her. Especially the look on his face when he came chasing after the two of them after finding out that he was that color. It was an expression she'd remember all of her days. Closing her hand around the ear cuff Zahra lifted her closed hand to her heart, giving a smile, "Thank you for this, it's wonderful. Could I ask you to show me how to put it on, Tei Tei?"

Joweese cocked her head. Pfft, what kind of person didn't like flowers? They smelled nice and went with every outfit imaginable. It didn't make sense to her that a boy wouldn't want to get flowers. However, instead of mulling the thought over, she decided it didn't matter. Teiluj had a gift for her, and that was all that mattered to her.
"Oh! I see, you already made them!" She exclaimed, taking the ear cuff from Tei's hand. "I'll cherish this always, Tei! You're the best friend a girl could ever ask for!"
The Alkidike peered over the cuff as if it were precious gold and turned to Zahra as she mentioned Sam. Oh, she was sure he would appreciate a pink cuff like this, she thought. After all, it would match everything they dyed that he couldn't wash clean! She giggled along with her sister and turned back to Teiluj.
"Me too! How do we put them on?" She asked.

"A date?" Teiluj wrinkled her nose as she pictured a strange awkward creature that she and nkole would be riding. Was that what a date was? She blinked quizzically at Zahra. "What does a date look like? How do you 'go on one'?" Shifting her gaze to the ear cuff Teiluj nodded her head slowly.
"If you want I can put it on both of you... I just... you just have to show me... w-wh-where you want it to go." Teiluj shifted her weight nervously as she held her hand back out again for the cuff to be deposited. It was up to them really if they wanted to wear them. and there was no way she was going to be able to force it any of them. For all she knew the girls would probably just toss it aside on their way home. Not that she really deserved more than that.
