Sauron was purchasing some spices for a special dinner he was planning to surprise Kelina and the family with the following night. The prices were a little steep which surprised him somewhat, could it be due to the influx of people? But wouldn’t high demand decrease prices? He didn’t understand so he settled to haggling cheerfully with the vendor, maybe that was all the prices were high for; amusement. Finally at a point where they were both happy with the price, Sauron turned and crossed the square, he was perturbed to find an alkidike stalking toward him with a stormy look on her face. He knew some of the alkidikes had issues with the earthling presence in Jauhar but he had been here from birth with the odd excursion into Tale and he held no animosity toward the alkidikes. They had fought side by side during the battle, then he had had a fun little battle with one for fun and it had prevented him from getting a fat head after the real battle. She had been kind to him which just went to show that no one group represented an entire race, however if the scowl on this one’s face was any indication then this alkidike was one of the ones who wasn’t at all fond of shifters. She made the mistake of reaching for him, unbeknownst to her, he had no intention of leaving his family unprotected while he recovered from whatever hideous wound she intended on inflicting him with. He had seen quite enough battle time that the experience allowed him to block out everything except his opponent. He grabbed her wrist and swung it in a circular motion, she fell face first into the dirt and he kept walking. She was good and ticked off athim now and she had recovered from her faceplant fast, she grabbed him by his hair, how dare she! If anyone was going to tug on his hair it would be Kelina not someone he didn’t know. He swung and she ducked, she punched and he twisted to the side, he was shorter and quicker thankfully, when he punched again she doubled over. He felt a little bad but she started it, he just wanted to go home with his spices, and to do that he had to incapacitate her, so he stomped on her foot and poofed some of the hotter spice in her face. She screeched at him and he sprinted for the bush. He hoped her eyes were too watery to track him, in any case he doubled around and then set off in the direction of home. He had sen war, and he couldn’t understand why anyone would want to risk another one so close on the heels of another, or ever. He was good at war, or at least he had been but that did not mean he liked it, especially outside of bloodlust that battle sometimes brought on. And not with the birth of his triplets it was that much more important that they all be protected. Sezarra and Kresimir were still prentices and even thorugh if they were older he still would have felt protective, who was he kidding, he still wanted to protect Kelina and she danced around him untouchable.
