With sweet little Eve sleeping on his head all wrapped up in his ears to keep her from blowing away when a strong enough wind comes through. When they had woke up she had rolled away a good number of times and had such a wonderful time while Cocoa nearly had a panic attack. He didn't want her to roll into the lake, tree trunk, prickly bush, or anything else that might make her sick or hurt her. She didn't mind because she was having a great time, and when she wasn't rolling around she was running around. The idea of losing sight of him wasn't helping with his panic level. So with her snugly tied to his head with his ears he feels pretty good being able to finally relax for the day. When he offered to protect her he never knew what he was getting himself into. The first day he meet her she was tried when they first meet, then after she was more awake she seemed pretty calm. So he was shocked when he found out just how much energy that little Eve really does have.

Baelvin's ears flew behind him like banners in the wind as he bounded across the lakefront, looking for others who were also out and about like he was. He'd found someone earlier, but the other Gladier had been stuck in a bush and Baelvin couldn't quite get him out. His eyes finally locked onto a brown and pink Gladier coming towards him. He bounced over. "Oiii!" he called over the wind. "Would you mind helping me with something?"

Shocked from the strange, yet, very interesting greeting he leaps into the air startled. Carefully checking that he didn't wake Eve he turns his attention to the other. Nodding his head lightly, "Alright, I'm willing to help you with something." Trying to look up at Eve, "I have the time and little Eve is still sound asleep somehow." Looking back at the other, "So lead the way." He smiles at the blue and green looking one more then ready to help him with whatever it is that he needs help with.

Now that Baelvin looked closer, he noticed the kit that the brown and pink Gladier was carrying. "Great!" he chirped at the positive reply. He lead the way towards the bush he'd found earlier, gesturing to it as he explained. "I tried getting him out earlier, but I couldn't do it by myself. He hasn't said anything, but he's definitely stuck and wants out."

If Cross Hart wasn't used to such embarrassing blunders, he would've been even pinker than he already was. All he could do was sigh as the stranger (apparently the one who'd been yanking on him earlier) explained the situation to another stranger. Hopefully the two--or however many there were--of them could pull him out, because Cross was sick of being yanked on, with half of his body being buffeted by the wind and the other half being smacked by the bushes prickly branches.

Slowing to a stop he nods his head, "Oh, well that's an interesting situation he's got himself into. I wonder why he hasn't said anything, do you think he's uncomfortable stuck in there like that. That bush appears slightly painful with those prickly branches, and the strong winds aren't helping anything. Which is why I tied little Eve on the top of my head with my ears." Walking closer he asks, "Would it be easier to remove some of the branches before trying to pull him out again? I mean I wouldn't want to hurt the poor fellow."

"Eeeeh... I wonder why I didn't think of that...?" Baelvin grinned and nodded. "That's a good idea! Let's do it!" The perky Gladier's claws came out and started hacking away at the bushes prickly branches.

Thank the gods above, this new Gladier has a brain, Cross Hart thought as the first stranger started hacking away at the branches. If they'd both started tugging at him, he probably would've lost quite a bit of fur--if they had actually succeeded. At least this way, he'd come out mostly intact... hopefully.

While nodding his head agreeing with it being a good idea his ears become untied and little Eve falls for a bit before flapping her little wings and getting herself blown into the bush. In a horrible panic his starts clawing as fast as he can at every branch behind her and she's not too far away from the stranger who's also stuck. Seeing as little Eve had whimpered in some pain while getting stuck herself. Clearing his throat while digging deep into the closest branches, "I'm glad it's a good idea and sure by the time I am through with tearing this bush apart to get little Eve out there will be more then enough room for him to get out." Nodding a bit he continues to stare at the branches he's clawing apart.

She's close enough to the stranger in the bush that she crawls over and pokes his nose gently. In a hushed voice, "Hello, who are you?" Poking his nose a bit more she smiles and introduces herself in a hushed voice as well, "I'm Eve and I'm the adoptive Daughter of Cocoa whom is doing his best to destroy the entire prickly bush to get me out of it. I think he worries a bit too much about me, though, I'm fine with that." Pulling her little wings in she whimpers some more not liking the pricks she got from tucking her wings in. That, and the fact that she's standing on the prickly branches doesn't help her.

Baelvin jumped a little when the little kit--Eve, he believed the brown and pink one called her--went tumbling into the bush next to the one already trapped there. He sidestepped as the brown and pink Gladier began ripping the branches away with sudden fervor, slowly but surely doing the same on the other side.

Cross Hart stared at the green creature in disbelief. Someone else was caught in the bush. And it--she--was talking to him. Eve, adopted daughter of Cocoa. "... C-Cross," he mumbled to her question, orange eyes averting their gaze. He was being talked to--intentionally! Why? What was this girl thinking? Perhaps she wasn't thinking. She had joined him in the bush of shame, after all.

With each large chunk of branch he claws away the closer he gets to getting to her, so he slows down to find a good deal of the bush is gone and a good deal of the one stuck is sticking out of the bush. So he starts to become a lot more careful not wishing to hurt the stranger who is talking to little Eve. Clearing his throat he asks, "Are you two alright in there?" Becoming more and more worried about both little Eve and the stranger.

Sweetly smiling at him, "Cross, what and interesting name." Poking his nose a bit more she shyly asks, "Do you mind my poking at your nose? I just can't seem to think of anything else to keep my mind off of the pain that's coming form standing on these prickly branches." Looking over at Cocoa, "I'm going to be fine the instant I can get out of here, it's not the best place to hang out in. Though I must say the company is interesting." Turning her attention back to Cross, "Do you mind my talking to you? I'm not bothering you am I?" She blinks all innocently at him since she found out that with all of her energy she can be a handful to others, or at least Cocoa so far.

Cross Hart continued his staring, taking several moments to process what Eve had said. He shook his head--or, rather, attempted to and got his ear even more stuck in the branches. He still couldn't fathom why she would want to talk to an awkward soul like himself, even if they had gotten stuck in the same bush. "Don't mind," he mumbled as his deep pink fur grew a shade darker. His response likely went unheard due a strong gust of wind, but he'd said it. It was an improvement.

Baelvin was cutting away branches with surprising enthusiasm. "I'm sure they're fine," he replied cheerily to Cocoa. He'd thought he'd caught a glimpse of the pink Gladier's tail wagging, after all. Or perhaps it was just the wind playing tricks on him.

"Oh, that's such a relieve to hear that I'm not bothering you. Now I have another question, if it would be too much of a bother would you mind if I desperately cling to your shoulder because standing on these prickles are really rather painful for me little paws." Then she pokes his nose a few more times smiling before she starts losing her balance and has to move around a bit while whimper here and there then she looks back up at him smiling with a hint of pain. "So, do you plan on going a different way when you get out of here or will you stick around and spend some time with me and Father? Because you are the second other I have meet seeing as that guy out there is the first other I have meet. Seeing as I don't count Father because he's family by choice." Thinking and talking about him makes he smile so brightly that she just about forgets about the pain from the prickles.

Slowing down he catches his breath after going crazy on the brush to try getting her out of the bush. Since she doesn't seem to be in too much pain he decides that he can slow down a while. Smiling at Baelvin, " Thanks, it's good to hear that out loud. I'm sure they are fine as well, now that is. Since little Eve doesn't seem to be whimpering in pain too loudly. I was just all sorts of freaking out because it's only the third morning of my being her Father so I don't want to mess up too badly while just starting out." Tilting his head at the stuck one he then looks back over at Baelvin, "How much more of the bush do we need to claw off before we can get them safely out?"

Cross Hart gaped at her for a moment. Desperately cling? Did she just ask to cling to him? Most requests he'd been given were to stay away from anything fragile. Yes, this was a momentous--strange, but momentous--day for him. He grimaced at her pain, but he wasn't sure he wanted to give permission to cling. That just seemed like a bad idea, even if the one requesting it was a cute little kit.

"I don't think it should take much more," Baelvin replied reassuringly. "And you've only been a father for three mornings? She doesn't look three days old."

The conversation outside of the bush caught Cross Hart's attention, causing him to miss Eve's second question. That was right, the girl's father and the other guy were both hacking away at the bush. He wriggled until he could reach the thorny base of the bush, pushing against it to force himself backwards. The thorns hurt, but the force he put against the bush was enough to get him out--and send him tumbling backwards into the grass, past the two Gladiers tearing the bush apart. He grunted when his tumbling finally stopped, rolling to his feet so that he could sit and pull the thorns from his paws.

(( Sorry this took so long! ))

Raising an eyebrow at Baelvin, "Well, that's because I didn't meet her till three mornings ago so she's much old then three days by now. I'm not too sure how old she really is though I haven't thought about asking her. And alright, I hope not." After Cross got himself out Cocoa quickly reaches in and carefully removes her and quickly starts to tend to her wounds before squishing her to him for a comforting hug. Then turning to Cross he asks, "Are you going to be alright now that you are out of that bush?" Then looking down at Eve he asks, "And what about you? Shall you be alright now that you are out of that bush?"

Blinking up at him she's not sure what to say at first so she just presses herself to him while the pain starts to fade from her paws after his tending to them. She does whisper, "Thank you for getting me out of there and I'm sure I'll be alright after a while that is. I'm sure I'm not too fond of small places and or prickly things either. Though, I'm glad I had some company while I was in there." Then looking over at Cross she wonders if he's going to be alright, he didn't talk much and she's not completely sure why that is. Maybe he's just really shy or something like that.

(That's alright~!)

"So, you adopted her?" Baelvin confirmed. "That's cool! My dad was adopted. Well, sort of..." He beamed when both Gladiers were freed from the bush. "You're out! You two ok?" When he was ignored by the pink one, he grinned sheepishly. "Ah, the wind's probably in his ears..."

Cross Hart was letting his frame be buffeted by the wind as he pulled out thorns with his teeth and spit them away. He heard the muffled voices of his rescuers and fellow bush-captive, but he couldn't make out what they were saying. So he just kept on pulling cleaning himself of leaves and thorns, ignoring the strangers for now.
