Vollerei was sitting cleaning her kill and preparing a fire pit to cook it. It was time for her mid afternoon snack! It was a maglardilla and while she felt some guilt over eating something that looked almost exactly like her pet Snack... it was but a tiny quiver of guilt compared tot he waves of hunger. Food came first! Well.. almost always first. Niabi and Neska came before food... SHe smiled as she thought this, expertly cracking the hard shell to get at the juicy meat inside. Not long ago she wouldn't have put anything before her stomach.. and now she had people she cared for! It was a wonderful feeling.... The Maglardilla put up a delicious smell into the air as she set the hardened shell into the fire pit and started adding some spices to the delicious soft juicy meat. Nyah was supposed to be home an hour ago for dinner, but it wouldn't be the first time she would be late. After all, time flew by when you were busy walking the forests and peering through the leaves. Yaholo was probably out looking for her, and if not him, Tahigwa. She couldn't decide who would give her a worse punishment when they eventually found her, but it would probably end up being something minor like babysitting or washing up after dinner. Maybe it would be best to head back now just in case she still had the time?
All thoughts of turning home were washed away as the savory smell of Maglardilla filled the canopy from below her. The petite prentice paused, like an Aldabuck stunned by a sound, and quickly crouched down to slink along the branches. She could make out another Sister, one of an interesting body type, and quietly perched herself in a tree directly behind her. Whoever this Sister was her fire pit looked well kept and often used, which made it safe to assume that this Sister was a well equipped hunter and chef. Nyah leaned forward an inch and looked to the Maglardilla, her eyes growing wide with delight. Hm, it looked very nice with all those spices. It reminded her of how Kennet prepared meals when it was his turn to cook. He loved to make all sorts of flavor combinations and garnishes... A hand moved to cover her stomach, hoping it would will away the pains of hunger, and back to the branch again. Tasty looking or not, it wasn't her place to ask for any. She should just stay perched here and observe until Tahigwa or Yaholo came calling for her.

Vollerei heard a sound behind her; it was a soft one... maybe a branch creaking under extra weight, maybe the soft growl of a stomach, but it alerted to her something being behind her. She was prepared to defend her meal should it be a predator! But she didn't quite get the sense that something was stalking her... Giving a big smirk, she shifted the maglardilla, sending up a wave of delicious savory meat. Almost ready to eat, she thought, but I've got time to play with what ever is hiding up there! She reached into her bag to drag out a leaf wrapped package. Unwrapping it, she revealed a smoked fish from this morning; she had been saving it for a snack on her way back.. but why not cook it again and spice it up? Make more tasty smells to lure out whatever was up there! Humming to herself, she moved to the other side of the fire... for now a breeze was picking up and sending the smoke into her face... and into the canopy behind her! She added slightly different spices to the fish before she speared it and put it too in the fire along with the tubers she had stashed with it. Grilled fish and tubers with spicy roast maglardilla! A decent sized meal for her... and a double meal for anyone else!

Nyah couldn't help but lean forward as the smoke wafted over her. Yep, it smelled exactly like something Kennet would cook, which made her mouth water. Auuugh, why did Aisha have to make her so easy to temp? The smell was so hard to deny! She clutched the branch and heaved a breath, only to inhale a huge cloud of smoke as it came her way, and slipped onto the ground in a coughing fit. Just her luck, now her cover was blown! Her eyes moved to Vollerei across the way, her cheeks red from embarrassment and coughing, and she quickly bowed her head.
"S-sorry! It smelled s-so good!" She chattered, her shoulders arching. "D-don't be mad? Please?"

Vollerei chuckled when she heard the coughing; "Inhale too much of the smell?" She called up in a teasing voice. She eyed the girl who came out. Young alkidike who was probably out exploring and should be headed home soon considering the darkening of the light! She hid a smile at the thought; I'm turning into a mother... guess I'm spoiled by Neska never breaking any rules! I neve get a chance to lecture her! "Why would I be mad?" she asked as she pulled the finished fish out and started munching on it and the tubers. "Mm! Delicous if I do say so myself! What's a young lass like you doing out here?" I keep running into children out in this jungle, she thought with amusement...Guess kids can't resist exploring no matter where they are!

Nyah nodded. Yes, too much, but still enticing. This woman seemed friendly enough, probably trustworthy? She had food, good food, and she didn't know anyone bad who could cook so well... Her family wouldn't mind if she stayed a little longer if she was with someone safe, she assured herself. The prentice crept closer as Vollerei began her meal, and decided to crouch next to her.
"People usually get mad when they find me spying." She replied, matter-of-factly. "And I'm here because..."
She paused, blinking. Why was she here? She really had to think about that. Her eyes turned up to the canopy, as if it held the answer, and back to Vollerei.
"Because I like snooping and your food smelled amazing, I got curious to who was cooking." She continued, nodding to herself. "I haven't smelled food that good in a while. What is it?"

"Spying? Ehh.. I just consider it practice for hunting." She shrugged; "It's the same thing isn't it?" She had certainly never spied on people, but then she'd been too focused on feeding herself to bother! She indicated a spot across the fire from her. "I'm Vollerei; and it's just Maglardilla.... broiled over fire in it shell and add some spices to get juciy tasty food! And not a lot of dishes to clean up." She chuckled. None in fact; you could always toss away the shell or clean them and keep them for crafting things. She reached into her pack to grab a bowl; " Well.. since you stumbled in might as well feed you for now. Especially since its getting dark and you've probably missed dinner." She poured some of the juices out and cut off some meat to join it. "Here."
