The noonday sun shone down brightly after the rain had cleared the previous day. And while Aselia was still troubled over the previous days demands at least today had only been full of bringing in the new lotus'. Lately Aisha seemed to like bringing her daughters into the world in the morning. Which thankfully left Aselia with quite a large portion of the day left to herself since some of the other duties were either on hold, or things she wasn't yet old enough to join in on.

After a few moments decision Aselia had settled on walking down to the market. A favorite past time she had picked up from Eshe. And while Eshe may not have been either one of her parents she was the one who had raised her. And so in Aselia's mind, Eshe was her mother. Her walk was slow as she moved down towards the hustle of the sisters. Trying to keep her poise the way that Eshe had always done. Her mind wandered giving her a look of vacancy. Perhaps she could pick up supplies for her journey to Jauhar, she was in need of meeting some of these hybrids that Rishima had mentioned.

Aselia entered the market, unaware that an unusual calm had settled over the sisters with her presence. Regarded among her people as she was, there was still speculation about her authenticity as a Mystic. However, having grown up with it, Aselia had learned to ignore it.

As part of her punishment, V'demhe was to take the baskets that her mother had weaved to the market for her and sell them to the vendors. Most of them used the baskets to store the goods they were to sell. Of course her mother wasn't the only one that made such things so it wasn't as though her mother's baskets were famous but there were several of the sisters that continuously bought them. There was a sigh that came from her as she did this chore, it took away from her usual play time, but she had promised her mother that she would become more responsible.

When a collective hush seemed to come over the market she blinked and looked around trying to find out what it was that had caused the silent commotion. What she found was the youngest mystic. For a time V'demhe could only stare at her. It was rare for her to see any mystic. Gaining her courage the youngling moved forward to greet the girl. "Excuse me, would you like one of my mother's baskets?" Dem held up her arm where two of the weaved creations were hanging. It wasn't what she wanted to speak to the mystic about, but it was a good conversation starter at least. The little one wanted to ask the girl what it would take to become an Amazon.

It took some time for Aselia to realize someone had approached her. Giving a soft warm smile the young mystic to be realized it was a youngling. She regarded the girls offer a moment before shaking her head. "Sorry youngling, I have no need for a basket today." Giving her a pat on the head Aselia started towards the market again. Feeling a sense of unease she glanced back towards the youngling. Was there something else she had wanted?

Well if there was it wouldn't surprise her if the bold girl would follow to ask. Most did that when they wanted her company. When she was young she had often followed Eshe with question after question. Today she needed items, mostly she was out here to get several materials for her bow.

When she was patted on the head V'demhe gave a frown. That wasn't quite what she was expecting, but then again she was still little compared to most others. As the mystic walked away she heaved a sigh. Her shoulders slumped a bit and she stood still for a moment. When her brain seemed to kick into gear she followed the young mystic at a slow run so that she could catch up. "Uhm, wait, please." Now she just felt silly. This was a mystic and she was bothering her. What would her mother say to that? Biting the inside of her cheek she'd debate for a second before she spoke up again.

"Would you mind if I asked you something?" Dem kept her gaze on the ground as she walked with the girl. Maybe if she got some answers from a respected member then she would truly know what it was she needed to do to reach her goal.

Aselia paused as the young girl called out to her. So there was something else she wanted after all. Turning to beckon the girl forward Aselia smiled down at her. It wasn't often that others asked for her time unless they wanted to approach Aisha, or needed her assistance with something. Being the youngest of the three mystics she wasn't regarded as wise enough to be giving advice, being as she was still young herself.

"I don't mind at all. But follow me. You must be brave to approach in such a crowd. I'm hungry though. Lets find something to eat first." Aselia could feel the tug of hunger. Knowing she hadn't eaten since early before her duties had started. She hadn't had time to eat during them either. And was not too occupied to go home and cook. Reminding herself that it was her intention to eat down in the market today and not at home. "Any ideas on the good places to eat?" Aselia was just trying to be polite, having often come down with Eshe to eat.

Seeing as the girl was polite enough to allow her to ask her question she nodded. Stepping forward she'd listen to what the mystic said. V'demhe had only ever been to the market with her mother to sell the baskets. She knew of a steamed vegetable stand but that was it. "No, I'm sorry. I don't." She did her best to not squirm about. It wouldn't do to look as though she were ready to bolt when she wanted to ask the girl for some advice. Dem would follow Aselia so that she could get food, the girl would hold her questions for after the mystic had eaten.

"Well no matter, I do know a few." Aselia walked through the market, making sure to remain aware of where the youngling was so she didn't accidentally lose her in the crowd. Stopping at a stand Aselia pointed to several buns and what looked like some soup. Thanking the individual she offered some of the food to the youngling. Moving away so they could sit quietly in peace Aselia took a large bite out of her bun and chewed. The sweetness was divine.

After a couple chews she swallowed and turned to the youngling. "So you wanted to ask something, I'm not going to make you wait until I'm done eating but what is it you need?"

V'demhe was pleased to know that the girl knew of a place that she could get some food. It meant that she wouldn't be disappointed or in a bad mood when she was asked a question. The youngling kept up in the crowd rather well and when Aselia offered her food she only took a bun. Moving to a spot that was quiet the little one seemed to look at the bun. When she heard the mystic speak to her she looked a bit startled, not having expected her to say anything until she was finished with her food. "Wha- Oh.. I was just wondering.. What would it take to become a great Amazon?" Curiosity filled her eyes and she waited for Aselia to answer her. All the while she was picking at the bun in her hands, not yet ready to take a bite.

Taking another bite Aselia watched the youngling. Chewing as she was asked a very simple question. Raising her head to look up towards Aisha, Aselia seemed to have gone distant for a moment before quickly swallowing her food and apologizing. Why wasn't she asking this of her own mother? It is a proud moment when I youngling already knows what they want to strive for. "Have you chosen a weapon yet little one?" Aselia asked watching as the girl only seemed to be playing with her food.

Not hungry? Perhaps the child was merely nervous and wasn't able to eat in such a situation. Maybe after she calmed her nerves, Aselia thought to herself. Which would mean she needed to ask questions, prob a bit in order to answer hers.

A weapon? V'demhe paused for a moment and thought about that. Had she set her mind on a specific weapon? She certainly hadn't thought she had but when she opened her mouth to answer with an "I don't know" something else came out. "Dual blades." It startled the youngling a bit. She'd seen such weapons in her mother's room but she had never been allowed anywhere near them. Maybe she was to follow in her mother's footsteps then? A small smile spread over her lips at that thought.

Aselia smiled at the girl nodding. "The blades are a powerful choice. A very strong will indeed resides in choosing those. You already seem the type that could brave battles head on. The blades will do you justice." Aselia took another bite of the bun letting the silence hang again before speaking again. "It is important that you focus on your studies though, in your studies you can learn how to think in battle. It is better to use your head than go with what your gut says. Sometimes your gut can lead you into all kinds of trouble."

Another long pause before the mystic to be spoke again. "What is it that made you choose the blades?" Taking a sip of her soup Aselia watched the girl calmly. Glancing up every now and then to regard another sister as they passed by.

The little one was pleased to hear that the blades were a powerful choice. She hoped it meant she would be powerful. As the mystic mentioned paying attention to her studies Dem ducked her head a bit. "I haven't used my head lately." And sure enough she had gotten into trouble. It made her fidget a bit. A shrug came in answer to the next question. "My mother has a pair in her room, I'm not allowed to touch them, but I look at them when she's not there." Well that didn't sound responsible either. V'demhe gave an inward wince at her own behavior. She was trouble all around. Lifting the picked at bun up to her lips she'd take a tentative bite.

Aselia nodded. "Have you learned from not using your head that it can cause you problems?" Aselia shoved the rest of the bun into her mouth and chewed slowly savoring the last of the sweetness within. Listening intently as the girl spoke about her mother. Her face puzzled as the girl mentioned looking at them when her mother wasn't around. "There is nothing wrong with the curiosity to look. You're mother knows best not to let you handle them while you're small. Perhaps ask her if she can train you with sticks first. Ask her about her fighting style." She gently urged of the youngling.

"I am sure your mother would be exited to know that you want to learn something. Does she know you are interested in the blades?"

There was a nod of her head as she thought about the trouble she had gotten into from her little escapade to Jauhar. There was one good thing that had come from it and that was a new friend. The rest hadn't been so nice. "I never thought to ask her that. I told her I wanted to be an Amazon and she told me I needed to be responsible." Which was why she was in the market. Taking on the responsibility of selling the baskets for her mother both as a means of punishment and to show she could. "No, I've not told her I like them." Since her mother kept them hidden in her room and away from plain sight she figured the alkidike didn't want to share them.

Listening quietly to the girl as she finally spoke something longer than a few words Aselia continued to look up at Aisha. The youngling was lucky, and it made Aselia rather envious of all the young ones. They would have years to be free from the weight of responsibility. The only real worry they had was over their studies. As for her on the other hand. The moment she had shown potential as a mystic she was being groomed for what would lay ahead. Three languages had to be learned, as well as duties like helping to bring the younglings into the world from the lotus and to their mothers. Now that she was getting older and her magic was starting to present itself, she was going to have to learn to control that but it was hard. Out of control which made her moody and resentful towards her abilities. Ontop of that she had to learn to focus on a particular weapon. In her case she had chosen the bow. It had been the most likely to help her focus her magic. The staff would have just sent it spiraling further out of control.

"Responsibility is good to have, and a good thing to show. But why not tell your mother these things?"
