Xenosa had made sure that she would not run into the Oblivionite any longer, she’d travelled far and as far from him as she possibly could. Still though, she missed the warmth of a good fire. Her’s was currently dying and there was nothing she could possibly be doing to help it. Her tent offered little cover, though once inside and under the covers of furs she was fine. Now however, sleep did not beckon her and as such she fought the bitter cold with a grim expression. She was going to have herself a very nice and very warm vacation after this.

Naita was starving. Even fire magic needed feeding, and she was running out of energy. She wished she had never come here to Aisko, she wished she wasn't so alone. Even a little bouken would be something – she felt like an ember, gradually going out. She needed fire. She needed her element. She needed people... but there were no people in this endless land. Why had she come here?

Would she ever leave?

A scent caught the attention of her numbed nose – burnt, like charcoal, with a hint of magescian. Whether that meant food or company, she didn't know yet: she needed both, as urgently as the other. But fire... and smoke...

She trotted eagerly towards the scent, eventually coming across an orderite with a fire. It was a dying fire, but she could deal with that – a real fire was easier to manage with magic than the warmth spell she had awkwardly cast on herself, after all.

“Hey! M-m-mind if I join ye?” she called. If they did mind, she could eat them. If they didn't mind, she could talk to them. And if they killed her in the process, she wouldn't be cold anymore. Naita saw no way she could lose.

As the Khehora apparaoched, the Orderite smiled. Much, much better than an Oblivionite! “Yes of course, please join me. Though I doubt the fire will keep for long.” Xenosa found that Khehora company was much much better than Magescian company, she actually enjoyed their presence much better. “I could use some company.” She mumbled, moving a bit to give the Khehora some space. “I am Xenosa.” She did not fear giving her name to a Khehora, she knew they would not try to harm her or gain something from her. They did not have material need les the rest of the world.

Company it was, then. And possibly food too, if she was willing to share.

“Naita.” The khehora said, revealing her clan as she nudged the fire into something a lot less dinky. She curled up nearby and let the external heat warm her miserably cold paws. It wouldn't last as long as she would have liked it to, but... well...

“There just ain't very much to burn 'round here.” she complained, getting herself comfortable, “Its so damn cold...” she ducked beneath her claws and, in a very magescian gesture, blew heated air on it to warm them before looking back to the Orderite.

“Got anything to eat?” she asked bluntly, her stomach rumbling sheepishly. “Since I ain't eating ye, and all.” Well, she was being honest.

~~~
Meanwhile, a bored, lazy dragon decided that it would check out the fire in its territory, see if there were any intruders worth its time. If not, it would just watch them until they died of the cold: that was also amusing, and much less work than actually killing them. It flew overhead, circling the camp like a vulture.
Eh.
Whatever.
It landed to make itself comfortable in the snow nearby, and watch them succumb... not realizing that it wasn't hidden at all.
Naita was like a blessing in disguise, a Friani in the cold tundra could only be the best thing one could find or stumble upon. When asked for food, Xenosa went through the back at her side and took out a pouch and threw it at Naita. There were some dried fruit and nuts in there. It wasn’t much of a meal, but it was better than starving out here. When the moon flickered, Xenosa looked up to find a shadow over head. The Orderite touched her daggers and scowled. “Look at that stupid dragon.” She pointed to it with the tip of her blade.
Naita nosed the bag open and sniffed at it. Fruit and nuts. Not what she was hoping for, or anything she particularly liked – give her meat, raw or cooked, any day from anything, and she would be happy. But food was food and to the depths with it all, she was hungry.
She had just started to get the hang of maneuvering the fatty plant bits into her mouth when Xenosa noticed the dragon. “Oh. Hey. Wow.” she snorted a laugh, her newly fueled inner fire letting her spurt a sardonic burst of smoke into the air. “Even I can hide better than that, and I've got red splotches...” she shook her head, “It's got no excuse.” she stood, nudging the bag back towards Xenosa – Naita wasn't so selfish that she would eat all of the Orderite's food. One didn't do that to a groupmate, which Xenosa – for the time being – was.
“Hey, maybe its lair is nearby. Maybe its got meat.” Naita said hopefully, her flash-in-the-pan idea making her heart quicken. “I mean, not on it, since they turn to dust and all... but... Oh to the tides with it, lets kill it.” she said, grinning at the Orderite.
“I like you already.” Xenosa gave Naita a large smile before getting up and unsheathing one of her larger daggers. “I’ll take the left, you take the right.” And with that the Orderite released her wings and flew to the left with her dagger in hand while her other hand found one of her hidden daggers and she threw it at the dragons chest. It hit, sinking deep and the dragon turned towards her and growled completely forgetting that there was another one coming at it. Xenosa wanted this kill, hopefully Naita would grab it’s attention just long enough.
“Sure!” Naita took orders well. She was a cooperator by nature, and that was just how things worked. She leapt to the right, her momentum carrying her quickly along the snow as she landed and bolted towards the dragon's right flank. “Hey! Dragon! Over here!” she shouted at it, adding a fireball to the mix for extra distraction as she turned and charged...
I am all ready to move on to the Gali dragons whenever we figure out how many we need C:
The dragon turned on Naita since it was the closer target, it roar and tried to claw at her. Xenosa took the opportunity to finish her wide circle and with her knives out slash the dragon by the throat and then flew up. It wasn’t a deep cut which was why Xenosa plunged down again at the dragon and repeated the process of slashing and hacking. By the time she was done the dragon was heaving and there was blood everywhere. Their strategy was working very well for them and Xen went in for the final blow. The dragon died slowly and Xenosa landed softly on the ground. “Well that takes care of that.”
Naita gave a loud whoop as the dragon fell, bleeding from it's multitude of lacerations and dying in the snow. “That was right awesome, mate!” she cheered, grinning towards Xenosa...
And pausing.
Her grin grew wider and she puffed a breath of smoke towards a series of large, nervous white shapes walking across the ice not too far away.
Meat
“And lookit what we've got ourselves here.” she said, gesturing to the beasts, “Hey, Xenos'” she said, shortening the Orderite's name playfully, “You up for a coupla' tons o' meat?”
