Orlan was not particularly busy that day. She had already delivered messages and it didn't seem like she would be getting too many more while the light was starting to fade. She imagined a lot of lions were getting ready to go hunting or settle in for the night, depending on how they viewed the evening.
Some lions were more active at night than others, but none of them seemed to have a lot to say.
So she found herself with free time, which she always enjoyed. So took the liberty of heading to her favorite tree, sitting beneath the thin branches that provided, in her mind, just the right amount of shade. She smiled to herself as she stretched her paws out in front of her before lying herself down. The sun was setting, so she didn't even really need the shade, but she still loved the tree all the same.
She sighed softly to herself, not expecting any company.
