Having promised her mother that she would now behave in a manner befitting a future Amazon, V'demhe was left with chores. Thankfully her mother allowed her to sit outside while she did some of them. For now she was sitting on a small stool and peeling the skin off some potatoes. It was to help the elderly Alkidike with dinner. Sitting at her feet were three very large bowls. One with untouched potatoes, one with some curling skins that had been peeled, and the last held the naked vegetable. As she worked she began to hum slightly but it was staggered as she had to stop and go when she needed to concentrate on her peeling. V'demhe wasn't a pro at it just yet, but she was certainly on her way.

When she came across one vegetable that had a few spots on it that needed to be cut off she did her best not to mutilate the poor thing. V'demhe ended up sticking her tongue out as she cut, making her serious face all the more funny, and even squinting one eye. By the time she was finished with the potato it was a lumpy disfigured thing. She stared at it for a moment then sighed and put it in the correct bowl with the others that were now peeled. On the next one she attempted to get ready for dinner she challenged herself. V'demhe wanted to see if she could get the entire skin of the potato off without it breaking.

She managed to make it two thirds of the way before the peel broke. It caused the little one to frown a bit but she just sighed and continued on. She was hoping to get the bowl completely done soon so that she could move on to her other chores. If she were lucky she might even have some free time left over. Though she doubted it. Her mother was keeping her busy with all kinds of things to ensure she didn't go wandering off again or find a new kind of trouble to get into.

When she finally managed to peel all the potatoes in the bowl she quickly took the raw ones inside to be washed by her mother then came back out to dispose of the skins. Picking up the bowl she'd take it to the small compost that her mother liked to keep by the trees. Some claim about nutrients or something that V'demhe hadn't paid much attention to. She watched as they fell into the pile with the rest of the organic scraps that her mother told her to place there. Apple cores. Orange peels. Left overs that no one was going to eat. Giving a sigh, the young one would turn and walk back to the house. Dem still had lots of chores to do.

She was busy with folding blankets, which was a feat in itself since she was smaller than the large things. V'demhe grunted as she tried to struggle with a rather large quilt that was used on her mother's bed. It seemed to engulf her. Unable to fold it without mishap she soon ended up buried under the heap of cloth and moved around looking for the end so she could get out.
