[Victim - Failure]
WC 642

Rains had come to her home, something that wasn't all that common, and it had her sitting on the floor of the main room listening to the steady rhythm of the drops on the trees. Syqvara had her eyes closed for some time, lulled into peace by the sound. It was oddly relaxing to her. Add in the fact that the rest of the household had gone out and she was in pure bliss. The quiet was a comfort. After some time she stretched out her legs, wiggling her toes, then decided to get up and start on her chores. Sy had promised her mother she would clean the porch while there was water to help her do so. Playing in the rain seemed like fun too.

Once on her feet she lifted her hands above her head and yawned, bending her body backward ever so slightly to ease the tension in her muscles, then dropped her arms back down so that she could the broom that was by the front door. Bare feet carried her across the room and finally outside where she was met with the steady downpour. With a soft smile she tilted her head back to enjoy the feel of water on her face. Syqvara could get used to this. Ready to get started on cleaning she brought her head back and turned to start on one side of the porch but paused as she thought she saw movement in the not so far off distance. Were her mother and twin back already? When she didn't see the movement anymore she shrugged her shoulders and set to work on sweeping. The bristles of the broom swished the water along the wooden boards and helped to wipe the dirt away.

Movement once again caught her attention. This time when she looked up she saw a figure moving steadily toward her and it wasn't anyone she knew. Clutching the broom tightly she took a step back. At first she thought it might have been someone come to see her mother, but when she noticed that this person looked less than savory she could only back away. “G-go away.” Her words didn't seem to deter the person, which was steadily starting to look like a male. In a fit of panic she turned and quickly darted into the house but before she could shut the door there was a foot blocking the way. The man had reacted swiftly and prevented her from closing it. With a small shriek Syqvara stumbled to back up. “G-g-get out!”

She needed to defend her home! Right? Still holding the broom in her hands she'd tremble slightly as she stared wide eyed at the intruder. Sy could do this, she had to. Right? Gah, but she hated fighting. Cheeks flushed with embarrassment and her lips pursed together, Syqvara swung the broom a few time at the man hoping it would be enough of a deterrent to send him packing. She was wrong of course. He had enough skill to grab the end of the broom and pull. Sy should have let go, she would have let go, but she was too stunned by the fact that he was fast and was pulled forward along with it. The man smirked at her and before she could react the broom was snatched from her hands and brought up to collide with her head. Thwack! The hard wooden handle collided with her temple, her vision exploded with sharp colors and the leaf earthling had to blink several times in an attempt to see. Thud! A second hit in the same spot and it split her skin, unleashing blood, but it also made her crumple to the floor. The pain was enough to black out her world and the last thing she could recall thinking was that she had failed.
