It was a beautiful near spring day in the Valley of the Blessed and the Deep forest of the enchanted. She often would wander between the lands never staying in one longer than the others. She had a nature that would never really allow her to stay in just one place. She had no real family of her own though she did not two strange males who would often find her and give her shelter when she was in their territories but they did not try to keep her with them.
As of late though she had found herself in the 'care' of a Faun who seemed to think that it was wrong for a young girl to be on her own and now she followed her around often. However this morning Araven had managed to elude the Faun again and was not wandering alone again. The young mare stood out against the rich greens of the awakening woods and fields. Her jet black hair resembled raven wings and her blood red fur blended seamlessly with her more burnt red skin. Across her broad lower back she had a near glowing pattern of wings across her back. She often thought she was meant to be born with real wings and would pretend that a magic user had cursed her and sealed her wings away. That is why she had so much energy.
She flicked her tail and a sight up in the sky caught her eyes. She smiled seeing a bird so very far up in the air flying and she gave a soft whoop and took off as fast as she could trying to catch up with the high flying bird. Imagining herself up there racing with the small creature.

Lobina usually traveled alone as well and favored the varied landscapes of the Valley of the Blessed and the Deep Forest. One day, she told herself, she would venture further beyond to see what she might see, but for now she was content among the trees and tall grass. Buds had formed upon the branches and new shoots shot up from the ground nearly overnight, giving the moist air a distinctly green and fresh smell.
Today the sun shone warm upon the land and the breeze carried the chill of the waning winter months. In the lowest foothills looking over the valley she stood, the grass tickling her legs and belly. She tossed her mane and tail, enjoying that crisp bite as the wind tumbled through her long indigo hair.
She paused upon hearing a sudden cry and watched with growing amusement as a familiar girl run gazelle-like through the grass. She had seen Araven on several occasions, but had always assumed that a family member would be nearby. Even if Lobina had chosen a solitary life she could not expect others to be like-minded. She recalled a faun and two cattaurs among her guardians, but none was present today. Strange it seemed, but who could tell so near the forest, if two pairs of cat eyes were not gleaming back upon the girl?
Caught by the spirit of the young girl's fun, Lobina let out a whoop of her own and with a kick of her hooves she raced off to intercept with a beaming smile.

Hearing the whoop and thunder of hooves indigo eyes turned to see the larger mare surging along tall shadowed grass towards her. Her youthful bright grin only grew wider. She had seen the mare only in passing glimpses among the shadows of the Deep Forest. She had always just seemed like a etherial vision of wonder and mystery in those woods and had more than once temped the little mare into seeking her out but every time she tried she could never find the elusive Lobina.
It was like a dream come true to be running along side such a mare. She laughed and gave a second whoop before looking back up at the sky and finding the bird long gone. She slowed her working legs and soon stopped panting and looked up at the beautiful pale face, her hair swirling about her shoulder like ghostly moonlight waters in the bright sun. Araven stood in awe a moment as she tried to catch her breath wondering how the mare could run in such a tight fitting top. "Y...you are as fast...as you are pretty!" she stammered slowly gaining her breath back. "We almost caught him!" she said with a loud giggle looking back up at the sky in awe.

Of course no worries at all about it. It is an awesome surprise to see you replied <3

This filly certainly was faster than she appeared to be! Lobina marveled at this thought even as she was delighted to realize that Araven was not afraid of her sudden appearance (and approach) in the slightest. She had no idea that Araven had ever taken notice of her before, even with her unusual blues and more colorful attitude still. All she knew was this one moment when strangers meet on common ground and share a breathtaking experience. That was, quite literally, the case, as they ran until their hooves could pound the turf no longer.
She had no words to meet Araven's, at least not until she caught her breath. She was not accustomed to interacting with children other than her own siblings, and so she naturally thought of Araven now as a sister in spirit. "Everyone is pretty when their eyes are full of the sky and their hooves fly through the grass," Lobina replied finally, impressed with her own flourish of words. "Yes, I think we did. My name's Lobina; I am so happy to meet you," she added with a bright smile.

It was not only the run that had her small heart racing. Up close Lobina was more awe inspiring and beautiful that Araven had ever thought she would be. She was both strong and independent and yet graceful and beautiful with a smile that could melt hearts. She had to be the greatest mare the young filly had met. In fact she really was one of the only mares who had ever approached the red female.
She was smiling and her red hued skin kept her slight blush covered. She was a bit star struck. She had such a way with words and her voice was so sultry it hit the little filly to her core. She did feel her jaw drop open a bit at such poetry and grace, "Lobina? It is very..very nice to meet you. My name is Araven." She loved that smile and felt so glad to be graced by it. "I am so glad to finally meet you! I tried to follow you into the forest once or twice. I am so glad to finally meet you. You are so quick I am sure you could have caught him if he was lower." she giggled feeling like she may have found her first female friend.

Oh this is plenty a surprise *giggles* Lobina is a sweetheart. And I look forward to any other surprises you might try for sooner or later.

Lobina nodded. "Araven is such a lovely name." It rolled off the tongue like an easy purr. "Finally?" Briefly confused by the girl's words, she finally realized that Araven had indeed seen her in the past and tried to follow. "If only I had known, I would have stopped for you," she said with a worried frown. Araven did not seem troubled by it, even if she had been in the past, so Lobina shrugged it off with a little effort. She sighed and shook her head, taking the girl's hands in her own with a grin. "If you asked me to, I would certainly try!"
"Tell me Araven, do you usually sneak off into the woods? It can be a dangerous place if you're by yourself." The question was actually a bit of a test. If Araven's guardians normally were with her, she would confirm it. But if she was a lone spirit, well, they were more alike than she had expected!

Oh my, Araven is captivated by idol worship! I hope Lobina never disappoints her, that would break her heart. ;.; <3 I can just see her go on and on to her guardians. That could be troublesome. xD <3
I am hoping to leave you some more surprises today. I have been trying to get caught up on housework to get me stronger for work, but I have to take so many breaks! I am nowhere near as strong as I should be. I'm getting worried it's a worse bout of bronchitis than last time.

"Well I don't think you ever saw me." She said giggling and trying to hurry on seeing the frown on such a beautiful face, "So since you never saw me you never knew I was following you. Mares like their privacy." she stammered toward the end lowering her gaze and getting lost in the velvety coat of the mare's legs and the dusty patterned coat that seemed to blend into deep water hues.
Of course the spell of the fur was quickly ended when cool pale hands wrapped themselves around her heated by the sun ones. Her eyes went wide and she looked up into the grinning face she could not help but feel her cheeks heat up, not due to the sun, and she grinned. "You would?" She asked in awe. This mare was surely a goddess of the Forest!
She felt a little shiver move along her spine as she was addressed by her name. But the awe and entrancement left when she heard the questions. She shook her head and grinned, "I am normally alone so it is not sneaking off if I don't have someone to sneak from." She smiled up at the beautiful face and shifted her hooves. "Ah..well that's not entirely true. Darerca just recently started to follow me...but she is easy to get away from." Stated with just a bit of pride and a bit of shame from lying.

Yes in deed just a bit of worship, Lobina is Araven's apitamy of beautiful and femininity. Poor little confused thing. Oh my I wonder if Lobina would get jealous is Araven did rant about her 'guardians'
Well it is always hard to do work, house work or other wise, when you are not feeling good at all. Just don't over work your body. Take as many breaks as you need better to be healthy and house a bit messy than having to suffer, get worse, or hospitalized just because you wanted a clean house lol. I got a pleasant surprise when I logged in this afternoon and saw these two replies <3
