Hey, I've been hearing these numbers around here ("595 85 58" so on and so forth) and I was wondering if someone could explain this to me...?

Ah. The numbers. Well, the represent pairings. As in Yaoi. I believe this is how it goes...

8 = Hakkai
5 = Gojyo
9 = Goku
3 = Sanzo
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I believe it is.

The order of the numbers also matters too, but I'm not sure about that... sweatdrop

I figured they meant something like that. It was the same thing like in Gundam Wing. Where do they get the numbers from though? Thanks for replying btw! biggrin heart

O.o but why those numbers?? Hakkai I can see, because I think "Hakkai" meant 'eight times' but as for 9, 5, and 3 I have no clue...

Hakkai=8 because 8 is Hatchi
Goku=9 because 9 is Kyu
Gojyo=5 because 5 is Go
and Sanzo=3 because 3 is San

And the number order represents seme/uke. So if the pairing was 83 for example, that would mean that Hakkai is the seme and Sanzo is the uke in that situation. 3nodding

Ah! Now I see!! Was 'seme' the feminine one and uke the masculine one...or was it the other way around...^^;; I'm not really big into Yaoi so I don't really know this stuff...my friend told me once but that was like...3-4 years ago...

Seme's the one on top; the 'masculine' one. Uke is the one on bottom; the more 'feminine' one.
