It wasn't long now since they had all pretty much gotten down this whole walking thing that Butterfly was wanting to wander. Though mama and sister never let her wander very far. But this day, well this day she had finally given them the slip down by the river. It would be a while before the adults noticed her gone and come looking for her so that would be plenty of time to put some distance between them and her. Of course, the first place she dashed off to was a nearby two legger village. Big sister had a two legger friend, but these ones were unfamiliar. The little filly dashed through the tall grass as fast as she could, her little heart racing as her short tail flailed behind her. Finally she broke through the grass, jumping onto a path that the two leggers used to get to their village and she began walking. As if she belonged here. As if she hadn't just jumped out of the tall grass and possibly surprise a couple of two leggers. Nope. ~Latonia de la Courtel~ Hello yes rp with me. owo Fatal Irony Feel free to jump in if you want. <33

Everything had been going well while the family spent time beside the river. The sun was high and bright, but with Mama and their big sister there it had been safe to nap in the grass or wade in the river as they liked. Allie had to admit that she quite enjoyed wading, though she wasn't all that sure about the chance of swimming just yet. The push of the river was a bit too insistent in the deeper sections, so she stayed to the edges mostly. Still, wading was the best of both worlds; walking in the cooling rush and allowing her to scatter droplets in her siblings' direction. Of course, when she spun around to try and splash Butterfly again, she realized that her sister had disappeared.
And thus, Alderfly sighed to herself as she stomped through the woods, peering around the trees with narrowed eyes. She wasn't precisely sure where Butterfly had wandered off too, but the fact that she was getting used to her feet meant she didn't stay in one place. And it was dratted difficult to keep track of a sister that didn't keep still. Big Sister Firefly was going to be so mad when she noticed them missing.
"Oh I swear when I find you Butterfly I am dragging you right back to Mama and Sissy! You see if I don't." She muttered to herself, grumbling as she clambered over a fallen tree. "And if Sissy catches us, I am so telling on you."
Allie had no idea where her sister had thought to go, so mostly she was stumbling around in the woods. She was too mad to admit she might be getting herself lost, and instead tried to find evidence of another soul's passing, such as broken branches or torn ground. "Oh Butter, where do you go!?"

Dobby noticed his sisters were up to something and was not going to be left out of the fun. It only took a moment for mother to look away and he was gone, slipping into the thicker grass and wandering after Alderfly. It became clear shortly that Addy had no idea where she was going, and Butterfly was nowhere to be seen. Giving up all pretense of stealth (though he had been making quite a bit of noise) he jumped out and ran over to Addy. "Where ya goin?" He had a grin on his face and his tone said I caught you doing something bad! "Does Mom know you're out here?"

If the other two had followed her, well, little Butter didn't even know. Or really care all too much. She meant, well she did care, but not really. Sometimes not being an only child was a bit difficult. Allie and Dobby would be lost without her. Poor things. She continued down the path, prancing past more and more two leggers. Just play the part, act like you belong here. Was all that she could tell herself in her head. Surely none of them would ever catch on. Two leggers just weren't too bright from what she could tell. What kind of smart thing walked on two legs when four were so much better? As she entered the village, Butterfly kept her tail held up high as she trotted from one place to another. This place was huuuugggggeeee. So many two leggers and thingies they lived in and thingies they had. She snuffled at a few ears of maze, her rump quickly swatted and some weird noise coming from the two legger. Giving him an indignant huff Butterfly continue on. There was much more to explore.

"Why in the world would she just wander off, anyway?" Allie muttered to herself as she stomped along, grumbling and flicking her ears this way and that. "We were having fun down by the water... Where else would she want to go?"
After a moment of musing Allie decided that really the only place Butter would sneak off to see would probably be the village of the two-leggers, silly things that they were. For whatever reason, Butter seemed to want to like, study them.. Up close. Allie didn't really mind two-leggers, the one that was Firefly's friend sounded nice enough from the stories.. But still, Allie didn't really feel the need to run off and make friends with one of her own. She might go exploring or bug hunting, but to go meet people? Why?
The sudden appearance of Dobby knocked most of her thoughts right out of her head, and she sighed and gave him an annoyed look because she recognized that smug tone. Ugh. Brothers.
"I'm looking for Butter! She ran off and didn't tell Mama or Sissy.. And drat it she didn't tell me either! I want to see where she's gone and the only thing I can think of is that she wanted to go watch those dumb two-leggers do whatever it is they do. So? Do you know if this is the right way or not?"
She pointedly ignored the "does mom know you're out here?" because obviously that was not work discussing at the moment. Their sister was missing, hello.

Yayoi SOMETIMES I FORGET THINGS I'M SORRY Dobby cocked his head to the side as she spoke, considering her words and what they meant. So Butter went off on her own and didn't tell Allie? That didn't really seem out of character for his other sister, really. She was always wandering off, and he agreed with Allie's assessment that she'd likely gone off in search of two-leggers. He shared in Allie's skeptical response to the strange species, though tinged with far more indifference. He hadn't really thought about the creatures seriously at all. "Of course she didn't tell anyone," he said with superiority. "You know nothing about sneaking off." He scoffed at her, making a sort of snorting noise. "Honestly, Allie, when did you get to be so boring?" He started off with a roguish grin at Allie in the direction he guessed the two-legger village must be, based on some of his own secret excursions in the area. He'd spotted the place once before, though hadn't ventured close. He didn't even pause to see if his sister had followed him, though he was confident she would. She wasn't stupid by any stretch of the imagination-though he'd never tell her that.

Butter had snuck a tasty snack from one two leggers basket. They had just set it down so that totally meant she could take one right? She nibbled the shiny red apple while watching everyone go about their business. It was so good, maybe a little too good. The filly would have to keep the knowledge of the tasty apples these two leggers kept from her siblings, otherwise she'd never get any! It was bad enough she had to share treats from Mama and Big Sister with Allie and Dobby. Dobby was more piggie than Soquili.

Allie gave her brother a narrow-eyed look as they continued to move along, snapping her tail in annoyance. She hated to be left behind or out of the loop. As the middle child, it was not in her nature! Though really, there were times when she certainly felt like the oldest. And didn't she come up with the good ideas?
This, this circus of Butterfly's certainly didn't sound like a good idea. And leaving Allie behind, trapped with their brat of a brother nagging in her ear, was even worse.
"Not true." She grumbled. "I've done it before and you guys didn't even notice. And I'm not boring, you're just dumb!"
She gave a low sound of annoyance and pinned her ears, eyes slit as she debating giving him a good hard bite for being so rude. Still, he was moving after Butterfly, so she followed his lead, grumbling under her breath the whole time. Not that she'd bother asking why Dobby was tagging along, or why he went wandering around with the two-leggers. Allie certainly hadn't gone there, but she couldn't much account for her sibling's taste.
After all, she was beginning to think Butterfly was dim indeed if her idea of a good time was walking around with dumb two-leggers that couldn't even talk to them... And if that was also Dobby's idea of a good time, well maybe she'd revise her opinion of her brother's intelligence. 'People are boring.. Why would either of you want to go spend time around people?'

Dobby was more than a little pleased to find his sister following his lead. He was always being ordered around by his two sisters and it felt nice to be the one calling the shots this time. He was sure Allie would make him pay for this later and was actually surprised she didn't give him a swift kick already. There was still time though. He put those thoughts out of his mind as he caught the sounds of the two-legger village. He slowed, hesitating. He'd never actually gone in or really anywhere near enough to have dealings with them. He didn't really know what to expect. On the other hand, it was pretty obvious that this is where Butter had gone. He spotted some hoof prints in the soft ground leading into the village and it could only be her, he felt certain. He stopped just outside of the entrance and turned to Allie. "Do we just go in? How do we find her?" He was loath to give the power back into his sister's hoofs, but he was the youngest, after all, and more accustomed to the strong females making decisions and forcing him along.

Grumbling a bit in annoyance about how her younger brother had become the one to lead the expedition, Alderfly continued pacing on in relative silence. It wasn't that she wanted to be in charge all the time -though really she felt like her siblings would be better off if she were- but this had been her adventure! And then Dobby had come along and now he was in the lead.
Boys were annoying. But no matter, she'd let him have his moment... And later, when he wasn't suspecting a thing, she'd give him a good sharp kick. Or maybe a bite on the rump. Or maybe both.
Both was starting to sound good.
"Hmm?" She muttered, abruptly startled out of her thoughts and joining him to stare at the hooves. It had to be Butterfly, which meant their sister was prancing through the two-legger village, bold as you please. "Butterfly..."
She heaved a sigh at his questions, glared at the village and squared herself. "Well have to just go in, otherwise we'll never find her... And then Momma and Sissy will find us just standing here and we'll be in trouble. So let's just... Let's just walk in and see what we can find. Maybe she hasn't gone that far and we can talk her into going home."
Without a backward glance she lifted her chin and stepped boldly forward, refusing to show she was apprehensive about this whole thing. Dobby would follow her and together they'd find Butterfly and then they could go home. "Come on, the sooner this is over with, the better!"
