"Death of an Aberration" Guild Setup is happening now! This is Siel. Those of you who may read this will likely remember that this Guild used to be the Gotei Elite that I re-created after leaving the old one, and which I shut down while I dealt with a large assortment of real life dealings and prepared new content for you all. The original plan was for this Guild to be rebuilt with my Sword Art Online Systems, however a huge snag was that because of how the Systems for an MMO-style RP would be constructed, they'd require a large amount of manpower to maintain, with Crew Members granting EXP, playing the parts of Monsters and evil NPCs, and so on. At around this time I also had to deal with a personal tragedy of my own, and so I've spent the past many months recovering from that, and I decided I still wanted to run a quality RP Guild for you all. So, I started work on Guild Systems for a concept I've had in development for years now, long before I ever joined Gaia or started participating in Bleach Roleplaying Guilds in the first place. The concept is very military, with Missions, EXP, Currency, Loot, Monsters and Boss Fights galore, with HP Bars and Blades, Grenades and Machineguns, but without stats or anything so numerically heavy. I'm proud to announce then, that "Death of an Aberration", my new Roleplaying Guild will be ready soon. Shortly before the full amount of content and Missions get released, I'd like to display the Game Systems and show you all how the game of Death of an Aberration is played. Its quite deep, but very Roleplay-focused. Those of you who had Characters in the Gotei Elite (the Bleach RP Guild) and who battled against other Members in Spars and Tournaments will notice some similarities with how Squads are set up and how character abilities are spread out amongst the Ranks, and of course, battle and carnage will be the focus of the game. With this "sneak peek" set up, everyone can get a good look at how the game is played and get familiar with how they will be able to manage their character, take on missions, Level Up, Rank Up, get better Weapons, Equipment and Perks, and take on tougher and tougher enemies. Of course, there'll still be plenty of out-of-character attractions like our old Seasonal Festivals, some Tournaments, Art or Avatar Contests, and the like -- I'm also hoping to hold a regular PC Gaming Event where some of us can have a blast playing competitive rounds of Garry's Mod: Prop Hunt -- all recorded for the glory of YouTube, of course -- free for all Guild Members to look at and snicker over. All things considered, you may see a lot of in-house upgrades and Thread creation and movement here in this Guild while things get set up, but you're welcome to ask questions or chat about the process as you like. Once everything is ready to go and I can start the "sneak peek" of the Systems and Game Setup, I'd be happy to teach you all how to play and be a part of the Guild when it, shortly thereafter, goes into full swing. Post here if you like, or to tell me you're still alive and kicking. Let's bring back the good old days of Roleplaying here on Gaia with some intense action, very soon. Siel out. All Guild Members may post in this Thread.

Glad that you were able to spend time to properly deal with the tragedy you went through. Often times I see people rush through recovery, only for them to have to spend a longer time recovering and getting things back into order.
The idea in a few words: sounds awesome. Judging by the people that are in this guild, it'll be just as chaotic and mind blowing as it was when we were a Bleach guild, just without the craziness of lightning shooting out of people's eyes and people running from black fire capable of turning wooden houses to ashes (we may see that and more happen though twisted )
Also, assassin tournaments? ninja

Man of few words or not much to say in the first place? xD Isabella Kiyoshi Glad that you were able to spend time to properly deal with the tragedy you went through. Often times I see people rush through recovery, only for them to have to spend a longer time recovering and getting things back into order. When you know someone for an immense nine and a half years and then they turn around and betray you without warning -- its worse than if they died, or it was revealed that they never existed in the first place. Far worse. There's no closure. And no closure means the healing process takes ten times longer. So I retreated from the spotlight and kept mostly to myself, focusing on work, bettering my home life, and secretly adding to my ideas and concepts for the future, like this one.Isabella Kiyoshi The idea in a few words: sounds awesome. Next I'll post a little "how the Guild will run" short explanation. Things like Leadership, how Squads will work, who the Crew Members will be, how you Rank Up, and such. It definitely won't be as crazy and uncontrolled as having any power or magical ability imaginable like in the realm of Bleach, but I'm definitely leaving some Sci-Fi and Thriller aspects in, with potential for some epic powers to be present in the plot. Assassin Tournaments as in an Assassin RP Class? Like as in with most RPGs where classes are Bard, Assassin, Thief, Mage, etc? No, nothing like that. Tournaments will be a bit more player-vs-player, with HP Bars, Weapons, Grenades, Healing Items, and just a couple dicerolls to determine bonus damage. I'm not going to make the game super dice-dependant, that's for sure. Only for a couple things, and leave it at that. So few words, people! @ Everyone: Also, I'd love to hear from everyone if you'd like to send me a message or talk to me on Skype, just to catch up in general. Give it some thought, kay?

Far worse. There's no closure. And no closure means the healing process takes ten times longer. So I retreated from the spotlight and kept mostly to myself, focusing on work, bettering my home life, and secretly adding to my ideas and concepts for the future, like this one. That just sucks. Siel Kosane I'll post a little "about this Guild" synopsis I've written up shortly, and I'll add it to the first post of this Thread, and it should set a little bit of the scene. With running from lightning, when scifi gets thrown in squads could be running from genetically modified cyborgs who are walking, shouting, 10 billion volt tasers while another squad is running from merciless flamethrower crews who have no care in the world that people's homes are going up in smoke. That or bombers dropping high yield fire bombs on squad facilities who are trying to defend using anti aircraft guns. With assassin duels, it may be more fun to RP sniper vs sniper with dice rolls to determine how hard a hit is when it's coming from a couple hundred, to even thousand of yards apart compared to dealing with bards, mages, etc using arrows. (Nothing says "go away" like shooting at a person using a .50 caliber rifle with a 40x scope from your rooftop) As well as counter special ops missions with genetically modified humans to have abnormal agility and silent breathing in an area where the enemy has their own special ops crews with just as many enhancements making them unable to be heard or even seen unless you're right next to them, and even then you may have to make a guess shot with a shotgun. Because science is amazing and terrifying when added to warfare and when there are very few restrictions.

LETS MAKE SUM BABIES I'm too ready for this 0,0 #TulipsOnStandbye Gaia been boring while I've been gone? Isabella Kiyoshi With running from lightning, when scifi gets thrown in squads could be running from genetically modified cyborgs who are walking, shouting, 10 billion volt tasers while another squad is running from merciless flamethrower crews who have no care in the world that people's homes are going up in smoke. Because science is amazing and terrifying when added to warfare and when there are very few restrictions. Err-uh, I'm entirely, completely sure that that is definitely not the iteration of Sci-Fi that I'm going to be employing. There won't be anywhere near that amount of free-form pseudo-science going on, with anything and everything science could ever possibly bring. There are definitely restrictions, and there's a lore- friendly string of sci-fi that I'll be employing that keeps to near-future concepts with Machines, Artificial Intelligence, Weapons and War Sciences, but nothing like android armies and George-Jetson Speedcars running through the skies. As for how you've explained Assassin Duels, I don't see how those would be specifically "Assassin" Duels o.e Just sounds like a typical duel with two military-trained personnel carrying firearms. Perhaps its best you read the synopsis a little and, when the Missions themselves come out and the plot unfolds in full, you'll have a clear idea of the type of Sci-Fi I'm putting up. @ Everyone: Incidentally, I've updated the Guild Home Page with the new Guild's Logo and Synopsis. Give it a read if you like, guys.

Negative J3T grounded? Does that mean there be flying enemies in which make certain skills unusable? Indeed. This will all be explained in full by the Systems themselves when put in place, but the gist of it is as follows. There are three types of entity mobility, or maneuverability. Grounded, Airborne and Agile. The different types change how they can be damaged. For example, Grounded enemies can be hit by any weapon, including thrown Grenades, whilst Airborne enemies can be hit by any weapon except Blades and Grenades. Agile enemies dodge 50% of all incoming damage, except for damage dealt by Blades, which still hit them 100% of the time, and enemies that are both Airborne and Agile get the best of both mobility types -- they dodge 50% of all incoming damage and cannot be hit by Blades or Grenades -- basically meaning they're harder to hit, or take more ammo to dispatch. The three mobility types were developed as an effective stand-in for what could have been, if this were not set in Threads and forums, a factor determining an enemy's distance from the player, or a held weapon's range. Its all to add another dimension of challenge.
