Playground Field: The field looks like an average playground. Grass mostly covers the field floor, but sand surrounds the areas where the jungle gym, see-saw, swing set, merry-go-round, monkey bars, and trapeze rings are set. Scattered around the field are a baseball, a soccer ball, a football, and many other types of balls. A tree stands at one corner of the playground with a tire swing hanging from its strongest branch. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to NORMAL type attacks.

Alexa walked into the stadium and saw the playground field. It had been some time since she had seen this field. She grabbed a pokeball and toss it out. Her first female Growlithe appeared in a flash of red. She gave Hulda the hand signal to take the field. She watched as the hearing impaired Growlithe walked onto the field and then looked around to see if her opponent was here.

As soon as Lyle entered the field he kind of wanted to run out there himself. This one looked fun! He could imagine Spinel having a blast climbing all over the equipment.
But it wasn't Spinel's turn to battle today, so Lyle pulled out a pokeball and tossed it onto the field. Tetania appeared and looked around the field before turning her attention to her opponent.

Might as well start off simple. "Tetania, Dig!" Lyle called.
His pokemon immediately began tearing at the ground and had burrowed into in within moments. There was a short period of time where she wasn't visible before she burst up from the ground, hopefully beneath her opponent.

Alexa waved to Lyle and then admired his Quilava for a minute. Man she would love to get one of those some day. She saw Tetania begin to dig down and signaled Hulda. She wouldn't be talking much, just using the hand signals she had developed for her Growlithe.
Hulda saw the signal and got ready. She turned to attack Tetania but the Quilava was already underground. She stepped around uneasily but wasn't far enough when her opponent popped out from underneath her. Turning she swiped a paw against the ground sending dirt and other small particles towards Tetania.

Almost as soon as she popped up, Tetania was covered in dirt again, and this time not by her choice. She shook herself to try and get some of the mud off while Lyle reconsidered his plan of attack.
"Try for a Swagger now," he instructed.
So Tetania turned a disdainful look at the Growlithe and began to strut arrogantly.

Hulda wasn't impressed with the arrogant strut but it did confuse her. Why was the Quilava strutting like that? She shook her head to try and clear it but it did nothing. She was still confused over it. She glanced towards her trainer and saw no new sign. She again swiped her paw against the ground to throw dirt and mud at her opponent.

Tetania was showered with dirt again, and flared up her fire in displeasure.
Lyle had seen Hulda shake her head, so he supposed the confusion worked. So he just called, "Back to Dig."
So the Quilava started burrowing again, aiming to attack her opponent from below.

Hulda sort of saw that her attack hit but everything was kinda spinning and then the Quilava disappeared. She sort of stumbled off to the side and was hit underneath her stomach when Tetania popped up. She staggered away and shook her head again. It still wasn't clear after that Swagger. She tried to swipe her paw against the ground to send more dirt at her opponent.

Tetania tried to tunnel back underground to avoid Hulda's next attack, but wasn't quick enough. She got pelted with dirt again shortly before she burrowed back underground.

Hulda didn't see her attack hit as the world decided to go blurry and spin at the same time. It was sort of nauseating. She was again hit from underneath but it was more on her side as she had started to fall over. Regaining her balance she slapped the ground and instead of sending dirt and mud, sent a ball flying at Tetania.
