Mercy Crossland
- - - - -
Mercy was in all honesty more than a little off-put by the nature of where she was going. She had heard things about the Fairy Woods, and they weren’t necessarily that pleasant. That being said, she didn’t really have much of a choice- her Guildmaster had sent her there, and this was the only ticket that she would get into the guild. It was just unfortunate.

Mercy Crossland stuck out like a sore thumb amongst the scenery. Luxio weren’t native to the forest, and her being oddly colored on top of it didn’t help in the slightest. Her tail let off a few sparks as she traversed further into the woods. If everything stayed quiet, then this would be a very simple mission. Then again, the Guildmaster wouldn’t send a beginner on a deadly one, would he? The Sylveon seemed to be too nice for that, at least.

The woods were a free-for-all though, and Mercy had no clue as to where the bow she had been sent after might be. With a deep sigh, Mercy made a turn- right into a congregation of Flabebe.

“Oh gods…”

All was still for a single moment, and then chaos broke loose.
The Flabebe rose up to look at her, startled and enraged. There were only four, but four was more than enough to be a challenge. The one closest to Mercy (one of the blue-flowered variant) lashed out immediately with Vine Whip. The Luxio shook off the attack quickly- it hadn’t been that hard-hitting, but was immediately met with a double Razor Leaf from two white-flowered Flabebe.

Mercy let out a Roar, and immediately clamped down on the blue-flowered Flabebe with Fire Fang. The fairy-type went down immediately. “Ugth, thith tathtes bad,” muttered the Luxio, forgetting just where she was. She immediately began to paw at her tongue, and only barely dodged another Razor Leaf. That was right- there were still three more.

The fourth Flabebe- the yellow-flowered variant- still hadn’t lashed out at her. But when Mercy examined it, it appeared that they were readying a Wish to try and heal the fallen Flabebe. That wouldn’t be good. Mercy charged at the yellow Flabebe, a Spark forming in her paws. She reared up at the last moment, bringing her electricity charged forelegs down on the smaller fairy type. With half of the Flabebe down for the count, the Luxio turned on the two remaining.

“You can run. You can go right now, and I won’t follow.” She had been the one to startle them, but they had made the first assault. This was more stereotypical behavior for a Rescue Team leader, not a Treasure Hunter. Although, a little bit of mercy would help.

“Arceus, did I just pun in my thoughts?”

One of the two Flabebes took off in a hurry, perhaps at the offer, or otherwise it was terrified of facing a Luxio who talked to herself. Mercy sighed witheringly, and turned on the remaining Flabebe, striking it down with another swift Spark.

But now, upon glancing around, the electric-type was thoroughly lost. She had gotten turned around too many times in the fight, and every which way looked exactly the same. She was bleeding too- the Razor Leaf had really cut her up. This was a pain in the a**, and she had better get it over with soon. Mercy placed a few licks to her fur, trying to cover up the wounds to avoid infections, and continued along.

The way she was going felt right, but the only thing she had to go off of was the direction that the Flabebe who had escaped had gone in. It wasn’t exactly precise, and Mercy felt herself missing the easily navigable towns that she had come from. But, this was the Treasure Hunter’s life, and if Mercy was going to captain an entire team of other Pokemon through this, then she had better suck it up.

At that moment, Mercy came across a grove in the woods. There was a small ring of mushrooms, and right in the center was a very ostentatious bowtie. The electric-type sighed with relief, and trotted into the circle of mushrooms. Unfortunately, as with almost any treasure, there was a twist. A Slurpuff toddled into the grove, and laid eyes on the Luxio- who at this point already had the bowtie in her mouth.

Mercy made eye contact, and promptly dropped the bow, whispering a scathing, “arcdammit,” under her breath, lowering herself down to a fighting stance. Hopefully this wouldn’t take too long- she was beginning to get tired.

The Slurpuff charged forward with a surprisingly strong Tackle. Mercy got knocked off of her feet, and slammed into a tree. Completely loopy from the impact, the Luxio attempted to bite into the Slurpuff with Fire Fang, but missed by a long shot. The Slurpuff Tackled Mercy again, this time driving her back into the mushroom circle. Unfortunately (for the Slurpuff) the third time that the Pokemon charged, Mercy managed to move just a hair, which was all it took to throw the dog-like Pokemon off course.

The lion Pokemon stood up shakily, preparing a Spark. The ground became supercharged wherever Mercy sat paw as she slowly approached her prey. “That was really, really rude. I’m lost in the woods, I get assaulted by four floofy fairies, I’m bleeding, I’m exhausted, and then you show up. And you decide that obviously since I’m here to take back the oh-so important ribbon I deserve a concussion. Honestly? What in the name of Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit were you thinking?”

With the final sentence, Mercy swiped the Slurpuff with her rage-fueled Spark. The Luxio gave a low growl, and turned on her heel, picking up the bow in her mouth.

Good riddance.

Veilmys
"Most excellent work, my dear!" Veilmys' ribbons fluttered about him as he watched the Luxio approach, a scowl on her maw and a ribbon in her mouth. The Fairy Woods weren't very merciful to Mercy were they?
He chuckled lightly at his own joke though he doubted very much so that the Electric type would find it as funny as he, so he kept it to himself.
Accepting the bow from her, this was the second drool-covered bow he had to touch today, the Sylveon examined it carefully for his tell-tale string and smiled as he spotted it. It was the real thing.
"Take the bow as commemoration of your acceptance as a Rank One team of the Guild of Eclipse!" Returning the fold of fabric he offered her a slip of paper as well, "And take this, the partner voucher. With it you may have your partner assigned to you~ I look forward to working with you in the future, dearest. Now do make sure to see the nurses about that bleeding. Won't want you to get an infection now would we~?"

Katherine stared at the list. It was... imposing. It was a very long list filled to the brim with requests that were both urgent and petty. It was quite the choice that lay out in front of her. It was going to be her first real mission not as a prospective recruit but as a fully fledged member of the guild with a partner. It would be her first time entrusting herself not only to Arcturius but simply to anyone at all. She had never had someone (quite literally) watching her back before. It was paradoxically both comforting and a little bit nerve-wracking.

But that wasn't going to stop her. Eerie Bog, Dragon's Den, Frozen Wasteland... no, those were no good. Her hand came to a pause. Fairy Woods. The mission sounded easy enough and, from the wording of it, the client seemed to be a local. The reward... she didn't really care, she could give it away. There was probably someone in the guild that could use a Moon Stone. She pulled the piece of paper down off the board and, with the aid of the guild, managed to track down her client.

The little Clefairy would be found sitting in a chair not that far away. She leaned forward slightly in her chair with her hands braced against her legs which she gently swung back and forth patiently. “Hello? Are you Coco?

Yup! That's me!” Coco swung her entire body forward and hopped off the chair. “Thanks a bunch for taking my mission!

She was cute! Very cute. She sounded young, younger even than Katherine and she looked almost like a little plushie. It was hard to resist the urge to pick her up. “It's fine. My name is Katherine and this is my partner Arthur.” Katherine turned slightly so that Arcturius's hilt would face Coco. He suddenly bumped himself out a few inches and then slipped back in under his own power. “He... doesn't like to talk much. But if you're ready we can get going right away.

Yup! We can go right now!” Coco simply began walking off, having apparently meant what she said quite literally. Katherine hesitated for a moment at the suddenness of the act before quickly catching up to Coco and matching her pace. The Clefairy's walked quickly for her size but for the much taller Katherine it was easy to walk alongside her. The guild building quickly gave way to the city which in turn gave way to grassy plains and simple paths. It was a pleasant walk, with the warm sun up above and the only noise being the sounds of life in the distance along with the gentle humming of Coco. At least, up until she spoke. “You have very pretty hair.

Oh, um... Thank you. Have you ever seen someone with hair like mine before?

Hmmm...” Coco gently tapped her finger against her cheek as she thought about it. “Nope! I've never met anyone with pretty hair like yours!

Katherine let a small sigh slip. She hadn't been expecting anything better but it was still hard not to feel disappointed. If Coco hadn't seen her then she probably wasn't there. “If you ever see someone like me in the Fairy Woods, would you please send a message to me at the guild?

Yup!

Thank you.” It wasn't a solution but it was a guarantee. It was enough to make this trip worthwhile... Knowing where not to look, knowing where she didn't have to check and having someone who would help her was important. It was worth far more to her than whatever the reward would be. In fact, she didn't think this mission would be much trouble at all! The request was simple, her travel partner was upbeat and happy and the little agreement put her in an equally good mood. Katherine happily began to hum along with Coco, having picked up the gist of the tune.

It was only once they finally neared the woods that the humming broke. Arcturius popped out of his sheath slightly and began to speak. “Coco. Is there anything we should know about before we enter the woods?”

Nope! The only thing we need to worry about is the unclean ones. They might attack us on the way! But we'll be fine once we reach the village, they don't dare enter it!

Arcturius seemed as if he intended to say something but in the end he simply silently slipped back into his sheath. Katherine too wondered what exactly it was that Coco had meant. She pushed such thoughts away as the Fairy Woods came into view. The sun had started to droop in the sky but even without the bright light of the early day the forest was a sight to behold. The trees were odd. The leaves were a bright emerald green and a soft green moss seemed to cover much of the ground. It was slightly squishy. But more than that were the flowers and the odd spots of irregular, bright orange moss. Oh, the flowers. They seemed to be sprouting everywhere and they came in every colour from purple to yellow and back. “It's beautiful...” She was awestruck by it. It looked like the scenery had been lifted out of a picture book.

But it was real. She confirmed that herself as she brushed her hand gently against the moss-covered trees. She pressed her foot gently against the mossy ground and was pleased to find that it made a gentle squish with every step. It was strange but comfortable to be walking on such a soft material. She liked it. She would have stayed at the edge of the forest and spent her time combing over every little detail but she sternly reminded herself that she had a job to do. She was a professional and she had a little Clefairy to guard so she quickly hurried after Coco in order to catch up. But that wasn't the end of it. The entrance was, quite literally, only the beginning. The deeper they went into the forest the more magnificent it all became. It was no longer a question of simply being different colours or mossy but rather it quickly became a pattern of shapes and colours that she had never seen in all her time in the wilds. Impossible flowers with a different colour for each petal seemed to slip out of tree trunks and the moss bed with impunity. The moss sparkled under the waning light and the colours shifted with the light. Bright greens gave way to dark blues as you circled to the darker half of the tree. It was wonderful.

It was in this beautiful, surreal forest that Katherine let her guard down. A dull pain spread from her cheek to her face and the world turned sideways. She flailed her arms and braced herself for her landing. There was a tug against her waist. Her elbow tore into the moss and hit the hard ground below. There was a cry of surprise and pain but it wasn't hers. She looked back and Arcturius had already drawn himself from his sheath. He hovered between her and a Wigglytuff who now bore a thin, red line from her shoulder to her foot. Blood dripped down from the tip of his blade to the base. “Unclip my sheath.” Katherine quickly reached back for the small clasps that kept his sheath on her belt. Her fingers worked quickly but roughly and with a sudden “pop”, Arcturius was free. She could feel his sash brush against her arm as he pulled away from her. “This one is slow. Focus on the other two.”

Katherine's hands and feet tore through the moss as she quickly stood. She frantically looked about only for her eyes to come to rest on two pokemon that she didn't recognize. The slower of the two looked like some kind of strange, almost green puffball. The other one looked almost like a Pikachu but it was much smaller and strange looking, almost like Rattata. It didn't matter. Katherine extended her fist forwards as quickly as she could. Her feet slipped out from under her and the blow just barely glanced the puffy creature but that was all it took. Her blow wasn't a simple punch but a strike laden with the total of her psychic energy; simply a touch was more than enough to blow the incredibly light creature away. It wasn't dead but after a blow like that it was no longer in the fight. The strange little orange creature chittered in both fear and surprise and quickly ran away. Katherine turned back and readied another blow but it was meaningless. Arcturius had already emerged from the Wigglytuff's chest, his blade clean and shining brightly.

“We should leave at once. If we stay any longer we may provoke the ire of their friends.” Arcturius quickly withdrew to his own sheath after giving the warning and, with great care, hovered in place behind Katherine. She quickly snapped the buttons back together, once more locking Arcturius in place. Coco, who had barely had a chance to move before the fight had ended, would have her hand grabbed roughly by Katherine.

We need to hurry. Which way is your village?” Coco pointed deeper into the woods and the group quickly ran.

---

Normally, only fairy types are allowed to enter the village! But you two are my guests so you can stay for the celebration!” Their run had eventually died down to a hurried walk but, fortunately, they hadn't encountered anyone else on their way to the village. Coco had started walking ahead of them as she spoke since they were finally nearing the edge of the village.

Coco, I'm--” Katherine's sentence was cut short by a yelp of her own as she felt a sudden, sharp tug against her belt. She nearly stumbled backwards as Arcturius gave her a little tug before he quickly fell limp again. “What was that about?” Arcturius remained silent. Katherine huffed.

She had a mind to continue what she was saying but the time had passed. They slipped between a pair of trees and Katherine nearly collapsed. She staggered back and stepped out from between the trees to look around them before heading back through them. It was completely different. Stepping between the trees brought her into an entirely different world. In spite of how bad she was as a psychic she instinctively knew that the little village had ripped a hole open in space to make their own home.

If the forest had been pulled from a picture book then the village itself was pulled from the fantasies of a mad man. Afternoon had changed to night in a flash and all sense of rhyme and reason had been abandoned. Torches were all that provided light but that light changed colours with every flicker. More sensible tones of red and orange shifted wildly to pinks, greens, purples and blues. Amidst the flickering torch light it was impossible to tell what anything was supposed to look like; it all seemed to drink greedily of the abnormal light, even as the colours smashed together. Fairy types wandered around on their own, freely and without concern. She couldn't name some of them but they all seemed happy and peaceful. Coco stopped and turned to look back at Katherine. There was a big smile on her face. “So, do you like it?

Katherine had a big smile on her face too. “It's beautiful!

Coco laughed. “We're just in time, too! Come on.” Coco grabbed a hold of Katherine's wrist and pulled her along. The intrepid little Clefairy gently tugged her towards a massive, massive crystal. The myriad of colours that poured from it were perplexing but fascinating. Coco sat down and gently patted beside her. Katherine sat down as well.

This...” Coco gestured towards the massive crystal in front of them. “Is the Moon Stone! It's what brings life to the forest. It lets us stay here, it feeds us, it protects us. In exchange, we feed it!

They... feed it? She wondered what, exactly, that meant but she didn't dwell on it further. She didn't have the time or the attention, not after a small bowl of orange moss was almost shoved into her hands. She stared at the bowl, confused, but she steeled herself and followed suit when she noticed Coco and everyone else eating it. It was... strange. It seemed to rub across the roof of her mouth and her tongue. She almost grimaced. It was with no mean effort that she brought her teeth together and found, to her surprise, that the moss was pleasantly sweet. When she bit down on it the water inside flooded her mouth. It was chewy and strange but it was good! She was quick to finish off the rest of her bowl and, once more following suit, put it down in front of her.

No one said a word. The silence was utterly perfect. Others had sat down around the crystal while she was eating, forming a complete circle. Katherine tried to speak, to ask a question, but she couldn't bring herself to break it. She simply sat quietly as the rest did. They seemed happy, excited. She didn't know why but it was easy to get pulled into the feeling of it all. It was very easy in such a wondrous place.

It started. Whatever they had been waiting for, it had started. Two Slurpuff were walking towards the crystal from the distance. Beside each one was a Snubbull holding onto a torch. The two Slurpuff were carrying something between them... Something pink, she thought. It sagged slightly between the two of them. Even as it got closer, she couldn't quite make out what it was... but the excitement reached a climax and it finally broke out into open, exuberant shouts. With a heave, the two Slurpuff tossed what they had been carrying onto the crystal. It seemed to start growing, slowly. It was so strange...

Katherine stared. The weird shapes and colours all suddenly clicked together. She could make out bits and pieces of it through the crystal itself and it all made sense. “Ex—excuse me, I need to be going now or I'm going to be late getting back.

Oh?” Coco glanced back at Katherine. “Are you sure? We've only just started the festival!

Yes.They haven't realized it yet.I need to be going. Goodbye.

Coco waved goodbye to Katherine as the Kirlia stood up and hurriedly walked away before breaking out into a run. She slipped back through the two trees and tore into the forest, leaving behind obvious tracks with every step. It was dusk now on the outside but she didn't care. No matter how obvious her retreat was or how risky it was to sprint as the light faded she refused to stay a moment longer. Her lungs burned, her legs felt like they had been torn apart and her back ached under the weight of Arcturius but she didn't stop. Even when nausea slowly began to rise from her stomach, she did not stop. It was only once she had broken free of the forest that she allowed herself a moment to rest and bear the pain. The fear and exertion finally reached the tipping point and the nausea rose quickly from her stomach.

It was little more than bile, for she had not eaten much at all in many hours. The only thing to mar the puddle of bile were the bright clumps of orange.

It's what brings life to the forest... it feeds us... we feed it!

The nausea redoubled and it held a relentless grip on her stomach until nothing but bile was left.

Veilmys

News of the completed mission swiftly met the ears of the guildmaster and he opted to go and seek out the team on his own as Claudius was somewhat busy with his studies. That Auroras and his maps, what dedication!
Veilmys only hoped that one day they would be able to uncover all the locations of their region and explore every one! That would be exciting!
The Sylveon met Katherine just as she was stepping back into the guild, though a member of the forest had arrived moments before to deliver her awards.
"Excellent work, my dear! I've been informed you performed well! The client has already had the fruits of your labor delivered!"
He extended his ribbons out to present her with a small pink box tied with a neat white bow.

As Katherine opened the box Veilmys peered over her shoulder with a soft smile, "Isn't that nice~" The Sylveon remarked.
The box had a note inscribed on the lid that said simply 'We hope to see you again!' and the contents were a small brown pouch that jingled with PD (about 3ooPD to be exact) and a lumpen and shiny Moon Stone.

As they looked on the stone gave a brief flicker of light and illuminated the rest of the box to reveal the inside was padded with a spongy orange moss.
Before Katherine could react she was given a swift pat on the head by a flowing ribbon and Veilmys turned to take his leave.
"Job well done! Go and rest up, dear, you look as though you could use a good nap! But first there are some possible recruits for you in the lobby~" With that he stepped out of the room.

In the lobby a Snubbul and a Dedenne stood awkwardly waiting, they'd heard of the entire affair and weren't too keen on returning back to the woods.
Whichever one wasn't chosen was probably going to find itself a new home elsewhere.

Obtained:
-2MP
-3ooPD
-Moon Stone
-Snubbul or Dedenne recruit

BONUS:
While exploring the woods three items were uncovered! You may select one as a bonus prize while the other two will be donated to the guild.

Venari
Katherine & Arcturius

If she had really taken the time to think about it, it wasn't surprising that her reward had made it there before she had. She had left the forest quite quickly but she hadn't come back to the guild at her fastest pace. Expelling her insides had taken time and it had left her shaky and uneasy. Arcturius had actually offered to keep watch overnight if she wished to forage for food and sleep the night through but she had decided to persevere in spite of it. The fairy carrying her reward could have even left before she did, or it may not have been a fairy at all. It could have been some other "guest".

Katherine's hand went to her mouth at the sight of the orange moss. She didn't say a word to Veilmys as he left. She was going to get the money out of this bag and she was going to destroy everything else inside. She would find somewhere she could get rid of it so that it would never see the light of day again. She couldn't, in good conscience, sell it or give it away so she was going to completely destroy it if she could.

That would have to wait for now. She passed by the two prospective recruits with only a single word from her mouth. "No."

Skye & Quil

The soft footfalls in the grass made the Espeon’s presence known as she wound her way through the garden-like forest. Unlike their last mission, they had prepared much further ahead of time, met with their client, and set off without a hitch. There was no long-winded explanation necessary for a simple search-and-rescue mission.

The forest was actually quite beautiful, particularly after their previous mission in the depths of the crystalline caves. It felt very good not to have a roof overhead, and in this part of the forest, the dappled light that shone through the trees lit the forest floor in a multitude of gold and green hues. The trees were tall and widely-spaced, their large branches preventing the growth of new saplings in most areas. Still, hardy ground cover and part-shade blossoms poked up through the moss, accompanied by the presence of brightly-coloured fungi.

A ball of golden fluff clung to her leather harness, teal eyes wide and watching the shadows. Quil was less pleased with the surroundings than she, twitching at the slightest sign of movement in the undergrowth. He was much more nervous in wide-open spaces like this, where a tiny insect could be picked off by a much larger predator. He knew it was unlikely, or perhaps even impossible, with how close he stayed to Skye. This didn’t seem to quell his instinctual feeling of dismay.

A shadow passed overhead, blotting out the dappled sunlight and turning their world to dark for but a split moment. The pair froze, immediately searching for the source of the movement. They knew from experience that an unseen Pokemon could be anything from a curious child to an instinctual predator.

Several minutes passed, and Skye cautiously strode forward, her bright eyes alert for any signs of danger as she continued on her hike.

When the shadow passed again, Quil stiffened. ”It’s a bird of some kind. I saw feathers.” His whisper was very low as he shrunk against the back of her neck, trying to worm his way under the side of her harness. Bird Pokemon were natural predators to his species, despite the powerful electric shock he could deliver. Worse still, it was difficult to hide when he was hitching a ride on Skye’s back like this. ”I didn’t see the species, but we should be careful. I think it’s following us.”

Skye flicked an ear back to show that she had heard and understood her partner’s warning. Heeding his words was likely a wise choice in this case. A natural prey item for bird Pokemon was likely to know a decent amount about their behaviour, and Quil was particularly intelligent as Bug-types went.

”It’s most likely a native bird- so it would be a Fairy-type. I don’t know which Pokemon are specific to this area, though.” She noted, her bright eyes searching skyward for any signs of the potential predator. It was both her responsibility and her personal goal to keep her partner safe.

”It could be something else, though. Maybe it followed us in?” the Joltik chirped back, feeling a little braver with his partner on high guard.

”I suppose it’s possible,” Skye answered thoughtfully. ”We’ll keep an eye out for flying Pokemon, just in case.” She hoped to reassure her partner, knowing that the little Joltik would be quite afraid of most birds. Staraptor in particular would make him very nervous.

They didn’t see any sign of another bird Pokemon for some time, though they caught the occasional glimpse of shy Dedenne flitting about through the undergrowth.

A little, golden-furred Dedenne scrambled across the path in front of them, tripping himself up on a tree root. The two approached quietly, with Skye extending a paw to help the round mouse Pokemon back onto his feet.

With wide eyes, he stared up at Skye. ”Please don’t eat me,” he squeaked timidly, shivering.

Skye blinked, her expression sympathetic as ever. ”Of course not,” she soothed, retracting her paw as the Dedenne found his balance. ”We just wanted to ask if you’d seen a young Minun around here. Her sister asked us to find her before she gets into trouble.”

It was the Dedenne’s turn to be surprised. ”I…. I don’t know. I don’t think that I have ever met a Minun before, so I suppose I wouldn’t know what they looked like,” he admitted, his whiskers twitching in thought. ”There was a little white and blue creature that passed through not more than a few hours ago. Would that be it?”

”That sounds like an accurate description,” Quil confirmed, hanging from Skye’s harness to join the conversation. The Dedenne beamed up at the other Pokemon, glad to have a Pokemon nearby that was a little more his size.

”Do you know which way she went?” Skye probed, her tail swishing behind her.

The Dedenne nodded eagerly, pointing off through the undergrowth to a glimmer of pink. It appeared to be a flower, but as Skye stepped closer, she realized that she was looking at a small, woolen scarf. ”She went that way- she was running some fast, though. She didn’t even stop when she left that behind.”

Skye nodded, thanking the little Dedenne as he went on his way. Within a moment, he had ducked into a wall of ivy and disappeared behind it.

Quil blinked curiously, staring across the patch of thick, dark undergrowth toward the scarf. The visibility of the ground wasn’t as good as it was on the path, and he felt a little unnerved by the closeness of the taller shrubs and bushes. It was clear why the Dedenne had not gone to fetch the lost scarf themselves. This was certainly a dangerous area.

Skye, cautious of the danger, stepped into the thick grasses and padded toward the scarf. Her posture was tense and stiff, and the Espeon was very cautious as she approached the scarf, pulling it free of the brush with her psychic abilities. It was dirty, but there were no signs of blood. Still, she could sense a very familiar aura surrounding it. It felt similar to that of the older sister, who’d reported the Minun missing in the first place. ”It’s definitely her. I can’t tell where she’s gone from this point, though. We’ll have to keep going.”

Quil nodded, accepting the edge of the scarf from his partner and helping her to tuck it into the carry bag that was strapped to her harness. They would hold onto it, in case it the Minun needed it later. As of yet, it was their only clue.

Skye yelped as a sharp, stabbing pain shot up into her hip. Jaws clamped tightly around her leg as the lightning-quick reflexes of a Mawile quickly ensnared her in his trap.

Psychic energy blasted outward from the white gem on Skye’s forehead as she twisted to escape, the psybeam bouncing harmlessly off of the steely hide that surrounded the gaping mouth. She thrashed, not eager to become a meal, and her partner leaped into action.

Quil jumped from his friend’s shoulder, electricity sparking from his golden fur as he latched onto the steel-type. A thunder wave pulsed into into the armored surface of its body, shocking the enemy Pokemon into a brief muscular seizure as the paralysis took hold. Then, like a spring-loaded trap, the Joltik shot electrified webbing across the surface of its true face, leaving the Mawile twitching and incapacitated.

The spasms gave Skye enough time and space to tear herself free of the vicious jaws, and Quil hurried after his fleeing companion. Her blood stained the ground, dark and pungent to his acute senses. She was badly wounded, and she needed to find sunlight in order to heal properly from a wound like this. With the dense forest cover around them now, Quil felt a jolt of anxiety as he realized how far from conducive this area would be to enhancing such abilities.

The Espeon slowed, giving time for Quil to scurry hurriedly up an uninjured leg. She forced no weight onto the injury, holding her hind paw off the ground at an awkward angle. Blood drained freely, the psychic straining to use synthesis and stem the bleeding.

Quil was immediately at work, his softer, cotton-like webbing filling the gashes in her leg and packing it tight. His spider-like abilities allowed him to deftly wrap the wound, supporting it and helping to prevent further damage with movement. If he could seal it off, he could prevent infection from setting in.

A large shadow swooped over them in their distracted state of anxiety, large wings fanning dust and leaf litter low across the forest floor as the bird Pokemon descended.

Quil braced himself for a fight in defense of his injured partner, but instead found himself looking into the eyes of a Togekiss, holding itself back in response to the sudden aggressiveness of the tiny electric bug.

”Follow me,” she urged, hovering just out of reach.

Skye weighed the odds, already feeling her strength sapping from her body. The Mawile would likely be swayed off by the electrical shocks it had received, particularly by the electrified webbing that would cling to its armor. Maybe it would stick there for an hour or more, if it were unlucky. That would keep it at bay. But it wasn’t likely to be the only predator out here, and her condition could worsen with time.

She cringed, her heart pounding in her ears and her vision blurring. She felt like her reasoning wasn’t as sound as it should be, but she lacked the self-awareness to tell for sure.

Besides that, Togekiss were not aggressive Pokemon. Skye nodded weakly, he decision made. ”Lead us,” she responded, her firm voice making Quil jump in surprise.

”Skye, don’t-“

”Lead us to sunlight, please.” This time, her voice was weaker, but she barely seemed to acknowledge her partner’s disagreement. This was a gamble, but it was one she felt necessary.

Without another word, the Togekiss took off, gliding ahead of them down a narrow, barely-used path. Skye followed it, struggling to maintain such speed with a wounded leg. In the end, she settled for a rapid, stumbling gait that seemed to leave her walking on an angle.

The path was winding and convoluted, branches scraping along her sides and scratching at her face. The ground was uneven under her paws, making it all the more difficult to walk. The trees around them were tall and broad, blotting out the last of the sunlight.

She could feel her partner clinging tightly to her harness, struggling to keep her leg bound in protective webbing as the branches tore away at the delicate surface. She was blind to pain for the moment, driven by adrenaline, and suddenly her blindness seemed to spread.

The light vanished from around her as the forest floor seemed to give way under foot.

They fell, tumbling through a mass of dirt and tree roots. She could hear Quil cry out, finally releasing his partner for the sake of his own safety. The fall lasted but several seconds, and a sharp slap struck her back and shoulders. The slap was evidently surface tension, as the Espeon found herself gasping for air and inhaling murky water in its place.

She struggled vainly for the surface, only to feel something tighten around her middle as she was lifted calmly from the pool.

She was immediately bathed in open sunlight, the Espeon squinting against its brightness as she hung limply in the air. She coughed, weakly sputtering as she tried to regain her normal breathing, and her surroundings came into focus.

Blossoms of every imaginable shape, size and colour exploded into her vision. The tropical flowers were brilliantly beautiful, vines spreading wide and far across the grassy floor, and massive, fanned petals extending as far as the leaves of the plants they belonged to. The scent, too, was very strong, and she felt herself dizzy from her overwhelmed senses-

-including pain.

She was carefully cradled on a soft, leaf-like surface, a caressing touch stroking her fur in comfort as someone else snipped at the silken bandages. Her vision shimmered again, and all she could think about was the soothing scent of the wildflowers that blossomed around her.

Lulled into a relaxed slumber, Skye lay resting in the delicate, leafy arms of a Florges.

A damp Quil watched with anxiety as the fairy-types handled his partner, he himself resting on the top of a Floette’s flower from when she had rescued him from the water. The fairies were gentle and cautious as they worked, chanting softly under their breath as they cleaned the Espeon’s wounds.

Then, as if by magic, he watched the deep gouges begin to seal themselves over. One little Flabébé reached up from under its mother’s protective leaves and touched the Espeon’s face, shyly examining the newcomer. The mother kindly shooed her child away, and took the healing Espeon into her arms as smoothly she would a newborn hatchling.

Quil softened a little, watching the whole experience with a sigh of relief. At least for now, the two of them were safe.

The flower-filled valley around them was tucked into the base of a deep hole in the forest, with vine-covered cliff sides stretching high into the sky. He now realized why they had fallen so far, although it did little to explain where he was now.

The tropical flowers smelled nearly intoxicating to him, with so many in one place, and thin sparkling streams filled the air with the smooth trickle of water. Strangely, no bees or butterflies could be seen in the gorgeous valley. On second glance, he supposed that had something to do with the large, flower-like Pokemon before him. The only signs of Pokemon other than the family of Florges were the Cottonee, drifting and bouncing on the breeze high above their heads, and the looming shadow of a familiar bird.

A soft thump was heard as the Togekiss touched ground beside Quil and his Floette companion, cooing a greeting to the flower-like fairies. The fluffy, snowy white bird glanced toward Quil, its dark and intelligent eyes catching the little Joltik off-guard. He was still nervous of it, certainly, but there was something inherently calming about the Pokemon once it was fully on the ground.

”Sharra, how does it look?” the Togekiss cooed, speaking directly to the second of the three Florges. Her voice was ever so soft, and Quil found himself imagining the Togekiss to be the kin of clouds. Togekiss and their children were known to be signs of luck and happiness. He hoped that rumor held true, for Skye’s sake.

”The little cat is very weak,” answered Sharra, her voice heavily accented as she spoke. Quil couldn’t place what it sounded like, but it was very harshly enunciated, despite her soft tone of voice. He found it weirdly pretty, once he had a chance to listen a little longer. ”That said, I imagine she will be on her feet fairly quickly. Whoever tended to her wounds before us did an excellent job.”

A red-flowered Florges hummed disapprovingly. ”She should have been brought straight here, with wounds like these, or else healed on the spot.” The voice was higher in pitch than Sharra’s, but perhaps much less feminine. Perhaps it was male, though Quil didn’t know enough about Florges to distinguish the difference.

The Togekiss clicked her beak quietly. ”I don’t imagine that Joltik have many natural healing abilities,” she reminded the Florges, glancing warmly at Quil.

Sharra evidently agreed, rustling her white blossoms, but she seemed quite surprised to note the tiny bug-type being present among their number. It took him a moment to realize that the Floette had a golden flower- he was not very visible to the older fairies, particularly in the midst of their worry for his Espeon partner. ”Oh, I did not realize we had a second guest.” She hummed, extending a leaf for him to crawl onto.

Clinging nervously onto Sharra’s leaf-like arm, he stared upward at her. ”Welcome, little one. Do you belong to this Espeon?”

Quil nodded, fluffing out his golden fur to try and dry off a little more thoroughly. ”My name is Quillan. Skye-” he gestured to her, ”-is my team captain. We came from the guilds in search of a missing Minun. She went into the forest without her older sister and hasn’t been seen since yesterday.” He thought it best to be forward with these gentle fairies, feeling that he more than owed them his honesty after all they’d done for Skye. ”We were following her trail when we ran into that Mawile.”

Sharra nodded wisely, lifting him up to get a better view of him. She seemed quite curious of him. ”Well met, Quillan.” She greeted warmly, her tone shifting to make it clear that she was indeed the leader of these flower-like Pokemon. The red and golden Florges beside her hummed in agreement, though the golden was still quite attentive to the sleeping Espeon she cradled.

”Cirra has told me of a young Minun girl in the woods, but she was not able to get close. I am worried- the Mawile you spoke of is not the only predator in these trees.”

”She was very frightened, but I think unharmed since the last I’ve seen of her,” Cirra assured him, her dark eyes large and hopeful. ”I understand that it is your leader’s duty to find her, but I would like to help as much as I can,” she added, shifting her wings.

Quil’s eyes widened, surprised by the generosity of these Pokemon. This was very different from the hostile environment he’d expected. Recent reports of this area had involved mass burnings and haunting stories of cultists. In some cases, there were even reports of murders and disappearances. He was happy to be proven wrong about these native Pokemon.

”If you’re able to help me find her, I can take care of the rest. My only issue is transportation,” he explained, gesturing to Skye’s harness.

The Togekiss dipped her feathered head. ”I will happily carry you, if you can find a way to hold on.”

”We can take care of that easily enough, I should think.” The male Florges gestured with an open leaf to the golden Floette who had lifted Quil from the water. The much smaller Pokemon seemed happy to oblige, offering a woven grass necklace from around her neck. It was very loose on the little fairy, perhaps to allow for her eventual evolution, but it seemed to fit more snugly around Cirra’s neck.

As the red-flowered Florges adorned Cirra with the necklace, Quil hopped onto her shoulder from Sharra’s extended leaf and tested the strength of the woven grass. It seemed to be strong enough to hold his weight and tight enough to keep him safely on board.

”I think this will work,” he announced, decidedly swallowing his nervousness. Togekiss did not eat bugs, he reminded himself.

”Hold on tight, Quillan,” Cirra chirped to her passenger, adjusting her wings for take-off. ”I fly quite fast, and I am not accustomed to having such small riders.”

Quil nodded, feeling even less sure of himself at these words. Then, with a coo of warning, she lunged into the air. Quil could feel the swooping in his tiny stomach, and he clung ever tighter to the necklace of grass.

It was several moments before Cirra evened out her flight, circling gracefully above the blossom-filled meadow where they had come from. From here, Quil could see the brilliant, vibrant colours of the meadow laid out below him. It was even more beautiful from above, though he perhaps wished to have his tiny feet on firmer ground.

Small pockets of vibrant colour popped up in strange, distinct areas throughout the forest, the deep and varied greens and browns of the woods around it falling away to the strange, heavily-flowered areas. ”What… what are these places? Gardens of some kind?” he questioned, his tiny voice barely audible against the wind.

Cirra blinked, taking an extra moment to process his question. He was indeed very difficult to hear, judging from the way that the Togekiss frowned. ”They are Florges gardens,” she called back, her voice snatched away by the air as she circled. ”They tend to the flowers and try to keep the flower populations growing. With the recent forest fires, we’ve lost a lot of plant life. Pokemon like Sharra and the others took in some of the dying plants and have nursed then back to health. They’re hoping to keep the forest’s ecosystem afloat if they can keep the flowers alive.”

”Some of them are nicer than others- Sharra and her kin are very generous Pokemon, but I’ve met some clans who are quite territorial. They’re getting desperate, especially with the recent village-burning across the woods.”

Oh. That apparently wasn’t a rumor. ”That… was the guild, from what I understand. There was a rush to eliminate a group of cultists. I’m sorry if it hurt the forest, too.” It was an awkward apology, but it was the best he could do, particularly given that he was not intimately involved with the project.

Cirra seemed alarmed. ”Oh heavens, no. Please, don’t apologize for such things.” Her voice was muted, as though sorry to have spoken of it. ”It was truly a blessing to be free of the fear they brought us. Many of my kind’s recent hatchlings were lost to such Pokemon,” she explained sorrowfully, shaking her head to escape her train of thought.

”But enough of such sadness- there is yet a child we can save, yes?”

”A Minun- her sister said that she might answer to Miru if we found her,” Quil confirmed, his tiny claws hooked tightly as ever onto the grass necklace. He did not wish to let go for any reason, not with how quickly they moved.

He realized then that the Togekiss simply wished for silence, as she had been scanning the ground below her with every passing circle. She needed to concentrate, and Quil turned his attention to the ground below. He struggled to ignore the nervous swooping in his stomach again, hoping that he wouldn’t find himself air-sick before they found Miru. He needed to be on top of this.

He could see Whimsicott floating freely on the breeze, though still much lower to the ground than they were now. The occasional Floette crossed just above the treeline, carried by the strong winds from tree to tree as they migrated between the valley-like gardens they had made a home in. His eyes weren’t strong enough to clearly see the ground, but he felt that he should at least keep a firm view on the skies around them.

A Togetic fluttered past, straining to maintain such a height with its tiny wings, and settling briefly onto Cirra’s back as she circled. The Togekiss barely took notice of it, as though the behaviour was commonplace for her kind, but Quil couldn’t help hiding in the midst of her white fluffy feathers.

”You’re up high today,” chirped the youth, taking no notice of the hidden passenger.

”We’re looking for a missing girl- a Minun, I believe. Have you seen her?” Cirra called back, adjusting the span of her wings so that the Togetic could more comfortably latch on for a rest.

The Togetic seemed bewildered. ”A Minun? Those aren’t from around here. What’s she doing in a place like this?” The flying type was very curious of the whole situation, though he didn’t directly answer.

”We’re not sure, but she might be in trouble. Can you help us look?”

The Togetic nodded firmly, and without warning, he let go of Cirra’s back. Quil cried out in alarm as he watched the bird tumble away on the wind. Then, far below them, his wings spread again and he was gliding away on an updraft.

Quil, shaken, settled back in against Cirra’s feathers as the latter bit back her amusement. He could feel the tremble of laughter in her chest, though she seemed kind enough not to voice it directly.

They had traveled several hours on the wind, mapping out carefully-planned routes through the sky in order to get the best possible view of the forest below. The sky was now filled with the white wings of Togekiss and Togetic, the younger of the fliers occasionally settling onto the back of large Pokemon for a break between their gliding spurts. It was a very strange sight, but the Joltik was happy for the help.

Cirra called out, her voice loud to alert the Pokemon around her that she had spotted something. She dove down, angling her wings so that Quil could clearly see the ground below as she descended.

It took a moment for him to see what she did, but a tiny blue speck was hanging on the side of a cliff. His heart beat faster, and he realized suddenly why they were moving so quickly.

The Minun held on tightly to the vine she hung from, swaying dangerously in the wind. It was a long, deadly fall below- a much bigger drop than he and Skye had suffered, and likely with no cushioning pool of water at the bottom.

At the top of the cliff, he could see a large, violet Granbull peering down at the tiny Pokemon. The canine Pokemon shifted eagerly, trying to find a way down to his helpless prey, but he seemed unable to reach the top of the vine that Miru hung by.

”That’s one blessing, at least,” he murmured nervously, staring with worry at the Minun.

The vine seemed caught around her ankle, though she also held tight with her paws. She was crying, her wails echoing in his ears as Cirra closed the distance between them. As she spotted them, the wails only became louder. She grasped the vine so tightly that Quil suddenly feared she might break the fibers that held her there.

”Hold on Miru, we’re coming to help you!” he yelled, but realized belatedly that his small voice could not carry far enough in this sort of wind. He would have to take a more direct approach to solving this problem.

”Get some of the Togekiss over here- we can make a safety net between you to keep Miru from falling,” he ordered, already crawling off the necklace to start winding sturdy silk around her ankles.

The Togekiss nodded, backing off of the frightened girl to fly past one of her friends. Cirra chirped the Joltik’s orders as concisely as she could, and the other Togekiss passed the word down the line.

Quil worked fast and hard, tossing his silken threads to any of the Togekiss who strayed near to him. The sharp-eyed birds, catching a glimpse of the glimmering white silk, caught onto them with their feet, and gave him a stable bridge between them in order to weave a net-like spider web between them. It took but a few minutes to complete the net, and the frightened child seemed to have calmed her wailing as she watched the net take shape.

Their intentions, it seemed, were now understood.

Quil was now standing on the net, his tiny feet gripping to the sticky silk with the skill of an expert weaver. He knew instinctively how to make this silk, and he felt assured that it would be strong enough to hold.

The Togekiss group, now five Pokemon strong, glided into position, struggling to angle their wings away from the delicate net. It was much more difficult to maneuver this way, he was sure, but it was their safest bet. If they were to have one Pokemon approach, and the Minun fell, the risk of injury was much higher.

Slowly and cautiously, the net was drawn out beneath Miru. Two of the Togekiss clung to the cliff, the netting tied to their ankles as they used their beaks to help them climb closer to the height of the Minun.

Quil watched, pleased by the precision of the Togekiss as the net was drawn upward from below Miru, and the young child was cradled in a safety net of steely spider web. She was trembling, still frightened as Quil raced along the webbing toward his charge.

”We’ve got you, Miru- it’s okay,” he soothed, helping the tiny electric type to free her ankle from the vines. ”We’re going to get you somewhere safe, and then we’re going to bring you back to your sister, okay?”

The child squirmed nervously, but her high-pitched voice was stubborn when she replied. ”No,” she retorted obstinately, wrinkling her little nose. ”I wanna prove how brave I am to my sister- she called me a scaredy-mouse!”

Quil ran a calming claw over her forehead, his large aqua eyes meeting the little girl’s. She was actually much larger than he was- something he was quite used to at this point. ”We’ll find a way to show her, okay? I promise.”

”But first I need you to come with us- my partner’s waiting for us on the ground.”

As Miru nodded, the Togekiss carefully arranged the corners of the webbing between them so that it took only two Togekiss to wield the net in flight. The other three, now free of their burden, glided calmly back to their nest sites around the forest.

It was but a few minutes before they were touching ground in the Florges garden again, and the other Togekiss took wing to the skies as soon as the Minun had been safely delivered, abandoning Cirra and Quil to take care of the unyielding infant.

Skye, however, was doing much better in the short time that they had been away. Her coat was glossy and well-groomed, a sign that the Florges had indeed taken very good care of her in their absence. Her leg showed no sign of the injury she had suffered, and her eyes gleamed brightly with energy as she approached the landing group of Pokemon.

The Minun stared openly, having never met an Espeon before, but was quickly distracted by the masses of brightly-coloured flowers that lay in every direction. The Minun squealed with delight, running off to play in the flowerbeds, and Cirra worriedly fluttered after her in order to keep tabs on the young one. She seemed to have forgotten that this was no longer her duty.

”Quil! Are you alright?” Skye greeted, purring as she was reunited with her friend.

The Joltik hugged her muzzle lovingly, happy to see her on her feet. ”We’re all fine,” he reassured her, clicking quietly as he crawled back onto her freshly-cleaned harness. She looked in better shape than when she had left, and the fresh scent of flowers seemed firmly embedded in her fur.

The golden Florges approached them, a bubbly Minun and a bundle of wildflowers in her arms. Wordlessly, she handed the infant down to Skye, and the Espeon took her onto her back with a gentle pulse of psychic energy. ”Thank you, all of you, for the help you’ve given us. I don’t think we could have found her so quickly if it weren’t for you.”

”Do be more careful next time, Skye. There are a great many wonders in these woods, both beautiful and deadly. I would advise you to watch where you tread.” Sharra bowed her head to the Espeon in farewell, the gratitude clearly accepted.

Cirra settled back beside Skye and Quil, her gleaming white feathers now dusty with flower pollen. She smiled in spite of herself, seeming not to mind the dusting of gold. ”I can guide you along the safest path, if you’d like,” the Togekiss offered warmly.

”Will it end with me falling into a swimming pool?” Quil mused, his voice full of mirth.

Bashful, Cirra chuckled and shook her head. As she was about to lift off, a little golden Floette rushed up and slipped the necklace off over her head. The Togekiss ruffled her feathers in embarrassment, but thanked the smaller fairy for her generosity.

In the moment of pause, Quil casually opened the pouch on Skye’s harness. A sliver of pink fabric was revealed, and the happy Minun quickly stole back her beloved scarf. The Joltik merely smiled, helping her to secure the child onto Skye’s harness with some carefully-wound webbing.

Finally, Cirra took to the air, prepared to take the lead in guiding them home.

Serrin, Rescue Leader & Client Plusle

Serrin was pleased when the trio returned in good shape (though he would be slightly less pleased when he found out that Skye had pressed onwards into danger in spite of her injury) but he wasn't nearly as pleased as the Client was. The two quickly hugged, huffed, cried and hugged some more as the nature of Miru's apparent "expedition" became apparent. It had all been such a stupid and childish affair which perhaps was why it was so important to both of them. Stupid and childish held a lot of power over children. When the two had finally calmed down from being reunited the Plusle would leave and then quickly return with a box. It was, apparently, an heirloom of sorts and it was apparently something precious to their family. "I think you'll be able to use it better," was all he said and it was quite obvious why. It was little more than a Spark TM, which though both valuable and useful in its own right had little purpose for the already electrically inclined pair. The payment, of course, was received at this time as well; Skye and Quil would be compensated 1000 PD for their troubles. Serrin would speak to them only briefly to congratulate them on a job well done and the small comment that he would be waiting for their report.

When Skye and Quil returned home, they would initially find two potential recruits waiting for them. The Granbull and Mawile had come looking for their snacks in a rage but upon seeing the city their minds had quickly changed. Perhaps they were just thinking with their stomachs but they greatly appreciated the "benefits" of being part of a rescue team. Whatever the case, Sunstrike could only take one of the two; the guild would not allow them both, lest they risk bringing in too many untested individuals at once.

It would be a few days later that Skye would open her door to find a small crowd assembled outside. The members of the named "Florges Valley" had come to visit, having apparently been driven by a certain degree of sympathy and interest after what had happened. To be able to expand beyond their valley and seek out more interesting and, perhaps, more meaningful pastures was a great draw. Though, in truth, it was also a bit of a tourist thing so although the crowd was large enough and it contained far more pokemon than Sunstrike could possibly take, only some were interested. Most especially the oldest and most experienced of the community would be returning to the valley as their presence was vital to their goals. The flowers would not restore themselves and although they did visit, important figures such as Cirra could hardly be absent too long.

Much as before, Sunstrike could only take one recruit from the Florges Valley and they had quite the choice indeed. They would find different pokemon seeking to join the team for different reasons and it was up to them to narrow it down to simply one, if indeed any at all.

Mission Complete!

- Bonus! Any recruit of: Togepi, Togetic, Flabebe, Floette, Cottonee.

Skye & Quil

Skye and Quil’s evening was filled with the filing of reports. Page upon page of paperwork would need to be completed in order to maintain guild affiliation and their lodgings within guild property. It was the less glamorous side of guild work, to be sure, but it served another purpose.

Since meeting with Sharra, Cirra, and the other residents of the Florges Garden, they had been able to glean a lot of information about the conservation efforts of the forest’s plant life. The information was potentially of great use to the guilds, particularly with how many guild teams might be working in the area during the days to come.

It would also be useful in summarizing some of the results of the guild’s actions in controlling the cultists, and lay out any legalities that might be important for their superiors to note.

Although the seriousness of Skye’s injuries would be glossed over, the incident was still properly documented. Illness and injury would be a frequent occurrence for a team of their size and proportion, but neither Pokemon was particularly eager to highlight their inexperience. This was all a part of the learning process as far as they were concerned- even Skye’s mother had started somewhere. They would improve with time, and learning from their mistakes as they went.

Their first visitors since returning home were not visitors that either teammate had expected to receive. The Mawile, though earnest in his apology, was deemed too aggressive for them to consider as a rescue worker. Indeed, he seemed to be unaware that guild work was divided into specialties at all. The Granbull seemed to be much the same, although he had primarily followed them out of curiosity. He, after all, had only been interested in hunting the little Minun that had escaped him to start with.

Days passed, and Skye was rarely seen within the confines of her team room. It was more frequent that she would be training in her abilities to fight as well as to detect hidden traps and Pokemon. Her psychic abilities were still reasonably new to her, and she had much to learn.

It was due to this that Quil was the one to answer the door when the second round of visitors arrived.

A cluster of Pokemon had come to visit them and confirm that the two guild workers were of fair health. The group was primarily composed of Sharra and Cerene’s (the golden Florges, as Quil would find out) children. They entertained each other’s company, enjoying the fruits of their garden and the groups exchanging cuttings of flowers in order to diversify their collections. It was primarily a social trip, but certainly one that they would enjoy.

When Skye arrived much later, she would arrive in the company of Cirra and her family. The Togekiss had brought her younger siblings to see the guild in hopes that they would entertain the thought of finding work outside the forest. They would also discover, from a very excited and bashful Cirra, that she was soon to be a mother. Congratulations were afforded from everyone in her company, and it was quietly agreed that they would have to cut their evening short for the sake of her health.

Bidding their goodbyes, one lone Pokemon remained behind to stand with Skye and Quil. The Togetic was the eldest of Cirra’s younger siblings and oddly pale. While she shared her sister’s snowy white feathers, this Togetic lacked the traditional markings her sister bore, and seemed oddly energetic. Though her wings were not yet strong enough for sustained flight, she was very fast and eager to learn. She would make a good teammate.
