Bookclub
Among the many things Claire loves, reading is something she actively partakes in. Every two weeks her bookclub gets together to discuss their latest literary discovery, and of course dabble in the classics! Each member takes turn hosting the meetings, which can last hours. From fantasy to history, journals to poetry, Claire's bookclub covers it all, relishing in the written word—there is nothing they wouldn't read.

Hobbies/Crafts
A woman with limitless creativity can not just contain herself to only a couple hobbies! Instead, depending on her most recent inspiration, has been known to go from crocheting to painting to building wreaths for every season to gardening. Because of this continuous rotation from one hobby to another, many projects are left half finished for several months. Thankfully, she has managed to limit her supplies to only a few rooms in the house. Usually.

Cooking/Baking
What better way to bring family and friends together than through a shared meal? Claire loves to cook and bake, believing that any problem can be a little less horrible with a hot meal or good piece of cake. When it comes to parties and gatherings, she is the first to volunteer to bring something and loves trying out new recipes. Feeding people brings joy into her life. It's also her alternative to trying to adopt everyone she meets...

Hostessing
Whether it's a dinner party of a gala, Claire lets her creativity shine through party organization and hostessing. She works closely with caterers and designers to make sure whatever event happens to be taking place goes off without a hitch!

Virtues:

Compassionate
Placing others before herself has always been natural for Claire. She is one of the oldest children in her family, so from a young age she was used to taking care of her siblings. Now that she is a mother herself, and soon to be grandmother, she easily swoops in to comfort any skinned knees or hurt feelings, often with fresh cookies and the gentle touch of motherly love.

Intrepid
Always open to new things, Claire faces the world head-on with an open heart and open mind. Life is an adventure and everyone has the choice to just float along or set out to explore; Claire would much rather explore, even though she has done her best to settle down for the sake of her family.

Buoyant
Unsinkable and resilient, she takes anything thrown at her in stride. She prides herself on being a pillar to those who need someone to rely on for help and comfort. Through everything she has experienced, it takes a lot for something to surprise her, and when something does surprise her, it is easy for her to adapt and grow.

Flaws:

Naive
Her optimism gives her a bit of a stereotypical "blonde" vibe, but people are not necessarily wrong with that assumption. Believing that there is good in people often sets her up to be disappointed, but even through many years of dealing with people, she would rather continue to believe that people have the ability to do good. She knows how naive that makes her, but she would rather be optimistic when she can.

Intrusive
In wanting to take care of people and give them all the attention she believes they deserve, Claire can be considered quite intrusive, often forsaking personal space in order to shower praise and affection. She is a social person and enjoys being with others and often seeks companionship from anyone and everyone around her. Some may just think she's friendly, but for others she is overbearingly clingy.

Oblivious
It isn't that she doesn't pay attention to what is going on around her! Her attention is just more often drawn to people than situations. She will be more concerned about how worried and upset someone looked, wanting to comfort them, before noticing the reason why they are upset. A gentle (or somewhat harsh) reminder that there are other things going on around her is often needed, but as far as she is concerned, she would rather make sure a small child was taken care of before making sure she was out of the way of danger.

Her favorite color is lavender, but she likes to wear pinks and light blues, too. She accessorizes with statement jewelry and cute brooches. She's almost always seem in a good pair of heels.

Claire looks great, so just a few things on the powered side -- how blinded are people by her magic, and is the blindness only when she firsts casts? (So like, there's a bright flash, and then for the rest of her magic duration they're just seeing stars/bright spots on their vision?)

Also, what sort of radius does her magic have? Or is it specific targets?

Looks good, but I think a 20-foot radius is somewhat oversized, sorry! Ten feet is a bit more doable though!
