Silver_tigress18 Not my best sorry, it'll get better! Although the troupe was taking going straight back to Yware, but there was an unexpected pit stop along the way. A lot of stragglers had gathered together and one of them had produced enough coin to convince the leader of their troupe to stop. They were scheduled to preform that night but that was still hours ago so Niadra decided to take Jania and walk around to see if she could something to distract her before the show. She was still feeling guilty over leaving, and the rest of the troupe hadn't let her forget about her incident with the Virma.
"Come on Jania." she was singing to herself under her breath, dancing around Jania while the raptrix stepped from the side to the side doing her own kind of animal dance.

Teiluj yawned as she walked through the strange trees and sand. Small droplets of tears formed signaling her reaching a deep part of her exhaustion. She had been traveling endlessly for the past couple days. Beside her Pacju walked quietly her head lowered in a submissive pose. Starline however was chirping happily, the stop with the pair of Kinfa had brightened her own ability to fly and Teiluj's Kinfa had refused to settle down since. The hybrid glanced up towards the brightly colored Kinfa before her eyes turned to the small bag on Pacju's side. A makeshift sling was held protectively against the hounds warm body. Another Kinfa egg was stored away inside it. A delivery she had to make for a trader in Ast, her home. Teiluj silently wondered if there was a chance she knew the trader but she figured it was better not to ask. Too many Alkidike's and shifters lived there, and while there were more hybrids there than in any of the other places, Teiluj hadn't interacted with many. Her mother had thought it safer she stay away from threats. Because of that she had been well protected from the war. A point that seemed to hit sour when she had run into Nkole. She rolled her shoulders, the image of his face burned into her mind. Why did he have to keep invading her thoughts. Teiluj pouted, her eyes shifting from the yellow of day to the green of night. Though she never felt the change. The echo of footfalls resounded against the sensations in Teiluj's antenna. Pacju stopped in response but a growl soon erupted as Starline continued on ahead whistling and chirping as she went.

At hearing Pacju's growl Niadra stopped dead in her tracks, as did Jania. The raptrix instantly stood in front of her owner, baring her teeth and emitting a low growl. For what wasn't the first time Niadra regretted having no weapons on her. "Who's there?" she called out, not seeing anyone. There was a chance that there was just a stray animal out there and that no one would answer her calls, but she hoped that there was a person. A person she could reason with, a stray animal not so much.
She put a hand on Jania's head, "Shush." if it was a person she didn't want Jania to make it seem like they were dangerous. Or maybe she did? Honestly she wasn't sure what the best tactic was. As soon as she got back to Yware she was going to get something to protect herself with, that way if she ever was in danger she could at least protect herself a little.
"I won't hurt you." it seemed liked a safer bet to just go with the truth.
The leaf girl squinted her eyes in the direction that the growing seemed to come with and was unable to see anyone. Than again the trees in the area they were in made it so that someone could easily hide.

"Ah! Wait Starline that isn't safe." Teiluj called as she ignored Pacju's warning of danger and followed after the Kinfa. Stopping when she broke out of the tree's and finding herself staring down another growling creature. Raising her hands submissively Teiluj took a couple steps back. The feeling of foreboding prickling at the back of her neck. This was bad, very bad, Pacju had no reserve when it came to protecting her and she didn't want to see either animal get hurt. She hadn't even noticed the girl either her eyes locking with the animal. Taking a step backwards towards Pacju without turning her back on the other creature, Teiluj felt the wisp of air. The pale purple Radaku had moved to place herself between Teiluj and Jania her growling intensifying into an aggressive warning. The whip like tail flicked back and forth in a show of power, lips curled back to show the sharp teeth below. Starline hovered above the group watching with keen interest. Waiting for Teiluj to call upon her for help. She knew that the Prentice didn't like her getting involved in spats, but she also didn't like any of the earthlings she had met either. It took some time before Teiluj was aware of the presence of the girl. Realizing she was probably the creatures master. "Please call it off." Teiluj groaned, unable to approach Pacju to do what she had asked of the girl's own creature. "My mothers Radaku isn't afraid to pick fights"

When the other girl came into view Niadra raised her eye brows. As a dancer she was no stranger to the different kinds of people that walked Tendaji, and she had met her fair share of mixed people, but the girl standing in front of her was something entirely. She knew that the girl was an Alkidike, and she was pretty sure from the wind tribe as well, but Niadra knew there was more to her.
So wrapped up in taking in Teiluj's appearance she hadn't really paid attention to the Radaku who was right in front of Jania. At the other girl spoke Niadra nodded. "I'm sorry, she really is harmless." Niadra called as she crouched down. It wasn't a position that she wanted to be in if the Radaku attacked, but it would calm down Jania.
"Don't worry, we're okay." she said soothing the raptrix. Although Jania never took her eyes off Pacju the growling became a low hum and eventually disappeared entirely. "Good girl Jania. Good girl." Niadra rose again, her eyes going from the girl to the animal companions she had with her.
"She was just being careful." she told the other girl, now sure that there was no danger. Well other than the Radaku that was. From Teiluj's words she was pretty sure that the girl meant her no harm. After all if she did she would've had the Radaku attack already.

As soon as the Raptrix had stopped growling Pacju had stopped as well. Her tail still flicked about in a dominant manner but she moved a few paces away her eyes trained on the Raptrix. Teilujj wanted to apologize for the Radaku's behavior but knew it as a useless breath, one she shouldn't need to apologize for. "She's my protector." Teiluj finally admitted, conscious of the change in notes from Starline up above. "We've been wandering for days, I'm heading home to Ast we were just in Tale to do research on the Kinfa." Pointing up to the black-green fledgling Teiluj's eyes stayed on Pacju. She didn't like meeting the gaze of older woman if she could help it. Her mother had taught her that meeting and holding a gaze was a powerful sign. One that had the chance to instigate battles. Again, not something Teiluj wanted to do, she had been kept from the war and as such was sensitive to the pains of others. "Would you maybe be able to tell me if I'm heading the right way? Tale confuses me even with maps. It's not like the forest that I grew up in."

Niadra nodded knowingly. Jania was also her protector, but she was much more than that as well, where for this girl the Radaku seem to be just that. "It's okay. It can get dangerous out here, so it's good to have one." she realized that she was being hypocritical, she was also alone, but she was older than the girl. At least she had a feeling that she was.
Looking up at Kinfa she nodded. "Ah, we have them everywhere here." she said with a nod. The girl hadn't really looked at her, but she wasn't sure if that was a cultural thing or not. Or maybe a mixed breed thing? "Yes it's much different from the forest of Jahuar." she assumed that was the forest that the girl was talking about. Just the fact that she was part Alkidike made Niadra assume that was where she was from.
"If I remember correctly Ast is closest to the middle of Jauhar? she said, more of a question than anything else. She had been there before but it had been some time since than. "If so I think you are headed the right way. If you go that way," she pointed behind her "You should be in your forest fairly soon. I think you might end up at... Sol, I think it's called, first."
She smiled. "My name is Niadra by the way. I travel with a troupe, so I typically have a pretty good sense of direction. It's easy to get lost out here though, even for someone who's lived here their whole life.

Teiluj nodded as well, she knew the dangers. If it hadn't been for the mixed blooded earthling she had met a few days ago she probably would have found herself in a very terrible situation. " Yes the colors feel sharper out here. Bolder than the forest I am used to. I am exited to return home to explain my findings. Plus there's this." Teiluj wandered over to Pacju and produced an egg. " This lovely woman gave this to me as a gift. Along with some other things." Teiluj felt rather lucky to have stumbled upon a friend. It seemed to be getting easier for her to actually make friends now that she was traveling away from home. " Yes it's close to the middle. Have you ever been there? It's a village full of Alkidike, shifters and one place that is more tolerant of people like me. Mamma moved me there after out home was set on fire." Sol, so she was right on track. That was a relief to Teiluj, she was starting to fear she was going too far west. She didn't want to find herself in Neued of all places. A smile lit her face. as the girl introduced herself. When the other introduced themselves Teiluj had always taken that as a friendly greeting. Like showing ones palms to the other. " I'm Teiluj." She responded in kind, turning to tuck the egg back out of the view. Unsure of what to say next to Niadra. Communications with others wasn't an easy thing.

Niadra smiled at the egg. "How wonderful. Eggs are always interesting, seeing what hatches from them is fun." the coloring of Kinfas were varied, so no matter what the egg looked like just about any colored Kinfa could hatch from it. To her that was very exciting.
She nodded. "I think I've been there once, but when I was much younger. I stopped traveling with my old troupe a while back and the one I'm with now isn't headed in that direction just yet." she nodded. When the girl said that their home was set on fire she frowned. She had seen member's of her troupe have their caravans catch on fire for different reasons and it was always sad. "I'm sorry for the loss of your home. Do you like it in Ast? From what I do remember the village was more tolerant period. Not all villages are welcoming to troupes of different races," she shrugged.
"Well Teiluj it's nice to meet you. If you want we could walk in the direction you're headed for a while? I have time to kill, and perhaps you can tell me of your journey so far? If you'd like."

Teiluj gave Niadra a wan smile, waving her hand to dismiss the mention of her home. "We all lose things from time to time, losing a home is nothing that can stop me." The mention of Ast wasn't a bad topic at all. The hybrids smile grew a little warmer. "Ast is ok, it's filled with shifters. Mamma has been doing her best to raise me as an Alkidike. But I think she wants me to try to understand my other roots as well. She said she doesn't want me to regret not knowing. Ast does well to accept others. Though lately I think Neued is going to be giving them a run for their money with the level of tolerance. I hear there are obans there. Among other earthlings." Raising her shoulders in a mimic of Niadra's shrug Teiluj nodded her head. "Yes it's nice to meet you as well. I don't often meet such kind earthlings. I don't mind the company, as long as you're not planning on trapping me somewhere." She halfheartedly joked reaching up to tug subconsciously on a few strands of hair from her ponytail. "Are you sure you want to hear of my journey. It's full of monsters." Teiluj tried to pull a scary face while making her hands look like claws of an attacking monster. "It might give you night frights while you sleep."

Silver_tigress18 don't even worry! I won't be quick for another week or two! She nodded. She had come across Oban's while traveling, and heard that they were on their way to Jauhur. She imagined they were going to Ast, but hearing that they were going to Neued didn't surprise her all that much. "That's good that she wants you to learn about the different parts of you. Do you know what path you wish to take? If you don't mind me asking." with pretty much every option available to the hybrid Niadra was curious to which she would pick. She was also very mixed, so Niadra wasn't sure if she could choose the same paths that most Alkidike's would. Sadly Niadra didn't know as much about Alkidike's as she had wished.
Niadra laughed. "I doubt I could trap you if I wanted to." she said with a shrug. When Teiluj put her hands as claws and made a scary laugh Niadra laughed again, holding her stomach. "I hope that you didn't run into that many monsters!" she exclaimed in between laughs.

Teiluj corrected her posture as her hands dropped down at her sides. "Well, there was this Oban. He seemed pretty scary, but now that I think on it. I wonder if that was because he was afraid I might do something." Teiluj reached up to caress one of her antenna's blinking out the memory. "And this leaf guy, or maybe he was a wind. He tricked me to going back to his house." As she spoke her face drained of color, the memory wasn't pleasant but the girl had asked her. "Apparently he was interested in my coloring too, and well, thankfully this woman had shown up. You know she breeds and trains Kinfa back in Tale. She even gave me an egg! But when it comes to monsters of the animal kind. I think the worst in the Menzuri of Jauhar." Pausing in her speech Teiluj blushed. She didn't usually talk this much, she wasn't one to talk usually anyway unless it was her mother. Giving a wan smile Teiluj looked off towards the direction of home. She had asked earlier what class she had wanted. "Well mamma wants me to follow Alkidike traditions after all... but, I met this shifter, and he was really cool! He could use magic. Mamma says I might have the ability and that I might not. But in the end I really like the hammer."

Niadra listened patiently. As she did she was thankful that she hadn't had such negative experiences on her travels. As the color drained from Teiluj's face she reached out and placed a hand on the other girl's shoulder. "I am so very sorry. It's sad that there are people out there that wish to do harm to others. At least you got something good from the encounter, and things didn't get worse." she offered, trying to erase the negative thoughts from the girls mind. When she mentioned the menzuri Niadra nodded. "I've heard horror stories about the menzuri, though thankfully I haven't run into any in my travels. With any luck I never will." she said with a light laugh.
Niadra nodded. "How would you know? If you could use magic. I tired once, but I'm pretty sure that I have no magical ablities. Unless they can show up when you are older." she shrugged. She was was fine without them, though she did think it would be interesting to be able to do magic. To be able to mix it with her dancing could have a beautiful effect. When the girl said the hammer she nodded. "I could see you with a hammer, you defiantly look strong enough to wield one effectively." and it would also protect the girl against creeps like the one who tricked her.

"Well mamma thinks I can because of the earthling blood coursing in me. She says it would be possible I don't have any, but I..." Teiluj cringed, "I don't like the idea of hurting people. But i have to be a strong person." Lifting her shoulders in a shrug Teiluj walked quietly through the forest. Conversations with others were awkward. Especially when it came from what Teiluj could only assume as a pure blood. It was always refreshing to come across one that wasn't hostile towards her. Perhaps if she met the Oban again she would try to be more polite but distant. Maybe that could work right? "What's the worst thing you have ever come across?" Teiluj asked. Trying to break the silence

She thought for a second. "Well I don't think you have to hurt people to be strong. I think you can be strong and peaceful. But that's just my opinion.
She had to think for a second about the question she was asked. "I've been pretty lucky traveling to not run into much trouble. We've been robbed a few times, but it's never been anything big." she shrugged at this thought, it was a hazard that unfortunately her people were faced with. "Though the war was the worst for me. I helped tend to the wounded... It was... Well sad." thinking back to that time wasn't something she liked, mostly because of how sad it was. So many people died in the war.
