The one person he knew very well, knew was powered like himself, was Xander and he needed to know that he was ok. He hadn't seen him at the ball but he knew he hadn't seen everything which had gone on or everyone who had been there. The other could have been at the ball and kidnapped or who knows what and he needed to know if the other was alright. That was what brought him to the hospital as soon as he'd woken, showered, and dressed.
He hadn't asked for his mother, he knew she wasn't working right now but rather asked about Xander Jacobs. Finding out he was in brought a pleased smile to his lips and he asked where he was. That was when he found out about the others sister and her condition...oh...that wasn't very good. Maybe he shouldn't see him...but maybe he knew someone who had been captured and he should know about this then. Mind made up, he had to talk to the other, he got the room number and headed up toward the room Xander would be in with his sister.
Stepping out of the elevator he headed down the hall, hands stuffed into his pockets, as he made his way quickly toward the room. He hated hospitals, the smells and the white everywhere. He didn't like the feel of death and sickness in the air and just...he disliked hospitals. Visiting his mother was always a bit bothersome but he never let it get to him because he was visiting her and bringing her dinner, or lunch, and that meant more than his own personal feelings and opinions - like now.
Shaking his head, toying with a lip piercing, he reached the right door and knocked before stepping inside. "Xander?" He spoke softly, green eyes seeking out the red haired man with cautious, hesitant, eyes. "I umm...can we umm..t-talk?" He questioned while shifting and shuffling his feet.

Xander was sitting in a large cushioned chair next to his sisters bed. He appeared to be looking at her, but he yawned opening a sleepy eye and looking at Ian before straightening up and beckoning him in, it was obvious he had been sleeping. Still the man smiled standing to offer Ian his seat and sitting on his sleeping sister’s bed. She was on a lot of medication and was sleeping more than not. They still had not figured out what was wrong with her, though they did think she seemed to be fighting it off.
“Hello Ian,” he said looking haggard, but no worse for wear. “Sure we can talk. Though I can’t guarantee that I won’t be called away. There was a huge influx of injured people from the balls. I could barely make heads or tails of what many of them were saying, most were just too even speak. It was very strange.”
Strange, yes, but Xander hadn’t much time to process it. Between the shear number of people and his sick sister, just moment past was the first sleep he had gotten in days, but he didn't let on just how tired he was currently feeling. At least he had gotten a nap.

Stepping into the room, not about to turn down the invitation, he did decline the seat since this was a conversation not to be had in this room. Glancing to the others sister he shook his head slowly. “May-maybe this wasn’t a good time...b-but I need to talk to you. Umm...something big has happened and I know your sister is important but..” Trailing off he shifted his green eyes toward the door leading out of the room.
“Can we go somewhere else? Not the break room….somewhere that no one else is? The roof maybe? I mean I know it’s cold but no one will be up there - right?” He had started to babble, and like usual he noticed it, and thus he did try and cut himself short before he really got bad and possibly woke the others sister. Wringing his hands in his lap he stood watching the other hoping Xander would agree. “I mean...it’s really big.” He tried to get the idea across to Xander without raising his voice or giving any information away. he didn’t want to wake the others sister or worry some innocent civilian who was ill and needed to get better. She didn’t need to find out about her brother or even about the ball and possible friends she had there.

Xander gave Ian a worried glance when he said something big had happened. Of course, just because he was too tired to connect the dots, meant hardly anything. An influx into the hospital usually meant something happened. He nodded and motioned for Ian to follow him, even though his sister was sleeping, he didnt want to chance her waking and hearing anything. Even sick she was stubborn where the senshi thing was concerned and now was not a time for her to be burdened with such knowledge.
He yawned slightly as he made his way silently to the hospital rooftop. Was it a good place to be alone, probably? One never knew in the city they lived in. He had jumped onto half the roofs in the city at some point. He shivered slightly in the night air, but ignored it moving over to the ledge and sitting down.
“Does this have something to do with the masquerade ball? I know a lot of people who went ended up in the hospital. We are still treating some, but none of the injuries seem to be to bad. Its the exhaustion most were suffering that was a big problem.”

Nodding to the other he turned and followed the red haired doctor, although
he wasn’t on duty tonight so not really a doctor? He wasn’t sure really but he figured right now he was Xander and not Doctor Jacobs, plus it was more relaxed to refer to and think of him in that manner.
The rooftop was cold, he knew it would be if they were to go up there, but it was a good place to go and have this talk. He was glad for his coat as he held it tightly about himself and rubbed his arms to generate more warmth.
“Yeah...the masks that were handed out drained energy. The people that came in were drained at the ball, they just need rest. But senshi and knights were kidnapped at the ball...they are alive from what some worker there said to us, a few of us in the park, before the knife in her back...but we don’t know who did that - and the knife sort of vanished.” he stated as he again startled to babble and shifted where he stood watching the other. “This isn’t good...Ganymede...and Valhalla they surrendered to the Negaverse and let themselves be taken. They saved me...both of them told them, four of them, not to take me and let me go.” He said, the guilt in that one sentence saying it all. He felt guilt for it and also upset at the Negaverse for doing this.

Xander didn’t look surprised at the news, but his eyes went wide when he heard the senshi and knight were kidnapped at the ball. He was suppose to attend the ball, he and Lily before she got sick. She got the flu and that kept them away. Lucky. He felt his panic rising though when he remembered his little brother had gone, promising pictures of the night for he and Lily. Xander didn’t recall too many pictures from the night. He found himself fishing for his phone while Ian talked, but when he found it, it simply remained in his hand and he looked to the guilt ridden Ian.
“I’m not sure who those two are, but that was a choice they made to keep you safe. You are here and safe because they cared so much for you. It’s not your fault Ian. Don’t blame yourself.” Xander felt that was what Ian was doing. Blaming himself for something he had no control over. Surely the two the sacrificed themselves and they wouldn’t want Ian to feel bad about it.
“It’s going to be okay. We’ll find them okay?”
He wanted to text Alex, make sure he was okay, but felt it would be very rude of him at the moment. He prayed his brother was okay for the few moments he took to speak with Ian. He knew he wasn’t in the E.R. here but that didn’t mean anything. His brother might be a knight or a senshi, one never knew, he hoped not though. He didn’t think he could take having another sibling dragged into all this.

“I can’t help but blame myself...or at least feel guilty - like I should have been captured also or done something to get one of them free.” He said slowly, his arms wrapped about himself. “We need to find them - all of them.” He needed to help find those two especially, and then he could tell them not to do that next time. he didn’t want them to give themselves to the enemy for him, he wasn’t worth that. If he was taken than he was taken it was what was meant to happen and they shouldn’t hand themselves over to who knows what. He had no idea what was happening to the two of them but it worried him deeply. He should be there, not both of them even if only one got away.
Nodding his head slowly at the others words, meant to comfort and assure him, he bit down on his bottom lip before toying with one of his piercings. “Yeah...we’ll find them.” He was sure of it. He couldn’t imagine everyone leaving allies to whatever fate the Negaverse had planned for them. Other senshi and knights would rise up, already was rising up, seeking to find them.

Xander shook his head and placed a hand on Ian’s shoulder, “no negative thoughts now. Youve got to be strong for them. They obviously see something in you and believe in you to have done what they did. They succeeding in keeping you free and now you will succeed in freeing them, all of them. Like I said before they obviously care very much about you.”
Xander have his shoulder a pat and looked back up to the stars, “you need to go home and get some rest. I know that might not seem like a good solution, but you can look for clue tomorrow in the hotel. Once night falls I can meet you in the park, if you like and we can start searching. My sister is in the hospital and I work long hours, but I’ll do as much as I can.”

Shaking his head he let his hand rest on the others. “I know they were trying to protect each other also...but to mention my name. I don’t see whatever they do.” And he didn’t fee
l he knew either of them well enough to deserve what they’d done, even if he wasn’t the most important one to save in their opinion. They had still mentioned him. “They still could have taken me.” But he wasn’t of enough value to the Negaverse, somehow it was both insulting and a good thing. His tongue fiddles with the back of a piercing, causing the ball resting against his flesh to wriggle.
“I’d rather not - it’s rather uncomfortable sleeping on a couch...just don’t tell Tsui that.” he said as he lowered his voice, as if the senshi of tigers might show up out of no where and have something to say about his insult to her couch. “I’d that though - to start searching for clues or anything that might help find them.” So he could speak with them about what they’d done and find out why. Why give themselves over, why try and keep him free? He also had to thank them though.

The words sleeping on a couch more that the other’s were the ones Xander heard the loudest. “Why are you sleep on a couch? I thought you lived with your mother. Ian you shouldn’t be sleep on a couch, its not very good for you.”
Xander was giving him that what’s going on look, the one that said, tell me and don’t lie to me. He didn’t like the idea of Ian sleeping on someone’s couch and was a bit concerned about how that had even come about. He knew Ian’s mother, maybe not intimately, but in passing. Most people in the hospital knew each other because they were there so often, and rumors flew, but he heard nothing of this.

“I did but I had to move out. I lived with both my parents but I couldn’t stay - not with my father.” He answered as calmly as he could. It took a moments hesitation before he continued. “My mother is divorcing him.” Leaving it there, knowing that said enough, he nodded his head. “I know it’s not good for a person but I had no choice. Tsui took me in and there isn’t another bedroom.” So he took to her living room couch, as uncomfortable as it was.
“She ran into me, the same night I went super, and found out it wasn’t very...good for me to remain at home and took me in.” He hadn’t been given much choice by the senshi of tigers, not that he’d have fought against the idea. “I didn’t get to move everything in either - no space.” He wasn’t going to overrun her apartment and take advantage of her niceness by filling up her place with all his things. So he had clothing, his computer, and a few books; not much else.

Xander shook his head and sighed, “I wish I would have known Ian. It’s just me, my sister and Dessie in my house. There is plenty of space for more. I certainly wouldn’t have minded if you stayed with us. There are free rooms upstairs as well as in the basement.” They had an in-law suite separate from the house too, but he didn’t mention that, as it wasn’t furnished.
Xander turned and started back to the door that lead back inside, “Come on Ian. Let’s go get your things and you can stay at my place. I won’t have you sleeping on a couch when there is no need for that. You can pick which ever room you like and stay for a long as you like or need. You’ll get a good nights rest tonight and worry about all that has happened in the morning.”
He hoped Ian would be okay with this and that living with the Jacobs didn’t overwhelm Ian. There home was huge and they had a maid, a cook, a gardener, and a pool boy. It was a lot to adjust to and Xander thought it was probably best not to mention until they got to the house.

“I wouldn’t have thought to ask - to intrude.” He had only accepted the offer, which wasn’t really an offer, from Tsui because she was there and offering without him asking or bringing up his situation till asked. He wasn’t the sort to start a conversation like that, and he didn’t know the doctors living arrangements either. It would have been rude of him to insert himself like that. “Half my things are at Tsui’s and half are at my mothers, since she hasn’t let my father return longer than it took him to get his things.” He’d only recently found that out from his mother. His mother was certainly taking things seriously, she was not tolerating her husband's behavior and habits.
“Are you sure you want to take me to get everything? I don’t even know if you can fit it all.” All his clothing and books plus his computer and whatever other odds and ends he had - it was a lot. he was a teenager and rather prone to owning a lot of things.
He’d have to tell his mother about this move, not tonight though, he’d tell her when she was off work and let her know who he was now staying with. He was sure she’d more than approve, seeing as she knew Xander. “I guess it’s also a good thing you’re sort of like me.” That he was a knight. It made certain things about his life easier, he wouldn’t need to keep such a secret from the other or any injuries he might gain. He did like that aspect about living with Gwen.

Xander nodded, “don’t worry about it. I have a truck and the seats go down so there is plenty of room. We will take what can fit and get more as time permits. Now would be the best time to get the majority of it. Just tell me where to go and we’ll go there.”
Xander continued inside, “it never hurts to ask Ian. There worst someone can do is tell you know. Most people are pretty compassionate though and very willing to help a friend in a tight spot. Not to mention, our kind have to stick together.”
Xander moved quickly stopping off on the 5th floor and speaking to a nurse briefly about keeping an eye on his sister and being back in the morning before going back to Ian and headed downstairs. “Let’s get you situationed and settled in then shall we. No more sleeping on couches.”

“Alright...so then Gwen’s first. I need my computer and most of my clothing is there.” He needed his computer, for so many reasons, and his clothing for the most obvious of reasons. “Most of my books are at my mothers.” So they could wait if need be, but he would want them soon
enough. He liked to read, a lot, and some of the books he had were borrowed from friends of his.
“I never liked people knowing about my home life...not even my friends.” He had kept it to himself for the most part. Omitting things, lying, and by whatever other means he kept it from them. What was he supposed to do? Tell them his father was a lush who enjoyed living inside a bottle and had some anger issues when he was drunk; which was most of the time? Nope, not something he was about to tell his friends - ever.
Following the other he kept behind him till Xander had spoken to the nurse on the fifth floor. Once that was done he moved to walk along side the other. “Thanks...my mother will be happy to find out about the change in location. She’s been worried since finding out why I moved out.” She hadn’t found out in the best of ways and he was sure his mother did like he did, kept it a secret from everyone she worked with. He doubted his mother was telling her co-workers about the upcoming divorce or why it was happening.
“Thanks...this means a lot.” He said that, almost shyly, as they stepped out of the hospital and headed for the others truck. For the second time in his life he was moving and this time he hoped it would be the last time. He wasn’t going to move back in with his mother, not now that he had his freedom. So this would hopefully be it...if Xander and his family didn’t mind, only time would tell though - only time would tell.
“Remind me later...I want to talk about training with you.” He spoke up as they seemed to reach the others truck. They’d talk about it later - there would likely be a lot to talk about. For now though he was happy with things.
