He used to not go out at night so often but that was changing, this was what? The fourth time in six nights that he'd powered up and gone wandering about the city? Yeah, four nights sounded right. He had been out last night and had happened across a rather ugly, though fairly small, youma that he'd handled just as it was about to surprise an unsuspecting woman. She had screamed at the sounds of the scuffle behind her, turning to see what was taking place, and had run off. he didn't blame her, in her shoes he likely would have done the same thing.
It wasn't the same as fighting an actual Negaverse officer but it was still something - right? He was fine with it to be honest, he needed to get into the idea of actually fighting and seeking to shed blood. It wasn't something he would have been ok with in the past but memories from the future had changed things - a lot. That didn't mean he could so easily go out and start hunting down officers of the Negaverse and beating on them, not only would that be a bit crazy and stupid but he lacked the skill needed and fighting was still a new thing for him - as a whole.
Shaking his head he toyed with one of the piercings in his lip as he looked around from the roof top he stood atop. "I really need to get it together." Sighing he stuck his hands in his pockets as he tried to feel things out, see if he couldn't feel out some youma or a low ranked officer to keep in check - by following them.

Senses stretched wide, Ash bounced down the side of the road and felt for power signatures around her. All kinds and factions caught her attention, but it was basic senshi she was looking for specifically. She wanted one in particular, but without a way of telling one from another... seeking out each individually was the only way.
All she felt nearby, though, was a super... which was not what she was looking for. Still... there were a few she knew, and if she didn't know this one it was certainly a good time to make an acquaintance.
Swerving, the guardian took off in the new direction, headed for the power signature she felt.
"Hallo!" She called as she looked about, sweeping the street and the tops of the buildings for the silhouette of a person.

Hearing a voice calling out he peeked down to the street below and stopped. For a moment he wondered if he should just call down to the cat, obviously some gaurdian cat, or join her down on the sidewalk. After a moment's thought he did jump down and land lightly on the sneakers he wore, he was so glad for the shoes he had. He couldn't picture wearing some of the more uncomfortable shoes he'd seen on senshi and knights.
"Hi, c-can I help you?" Bending down to be closer to the cat's height he held out a hand. Flipping the fringe of black hair from his face he smiled down at the cat, she really was a pretty cat. After a moment, knowing it might sound rather random or at least a bit out of place he decided to break the short silence. "I'm Chaldene." Now who was this cat? It was certainly not one he knew or had ever seen in passing, at least he was fairly sure of this.

There! The senshi was being a good boy and coming down to her. Ash danced to the side as he landed, and then rushed over in typical cat fashion to rub her sides against his legs. A rich purr rumbled from her throat as she laughed, her tail lifted high.
"Hello, Darling! Chaldene? How nice to meet you!" She said as he offered his hand, stepping forward to rub her cheeks against it. He smelled good, which was a bonus, and her whiskers puffed up.
"I'm sorry, I was just looking for one of my senshi girls, but I am quite pleased to meet you anyway. Its always nice to meet new senshi." She tilted her head as her tail swished lightly back and forth. "You haven't seen her by chance, have you? Her name is Amphitrite. She has a cream colored fuku and her hair is teal. Sphere is seashells?"
It was a bit of a long shot maybe, but it didn't hurt to ask. It was likely he'd covered more ground in this city than she possibly could.

"One of your senshi...which one?" It wasn't likely that he knew the senshi she sought but one never knew till one asked. If nothing else he could try and help her this evening, and maybe beyond tonight, to help find this senshi. "Is she in trouble or something?" He questioned, concern lacing his voice as he moved his hand to pet behind her ears.
As his question was answered, as to who this senshi was, he felt himself shaking his head. "No. She's not one that I know. I'm sure we could ask other senshi and get the word out perhaps?" He offered gently as he looked at cat over, she was fluffy and soft to the touch. "
"If you had a civilian name I could at least find her address and we could sit on her house, not literally of course, and see if she were to turn up." he offered, hesitating a bit on his words. "I'm good with computers- technology in general. actually." He said with a sheepish smile though there was a confidence to his tone as well. Drawing his phone out of his pocket he held it within sight of the cat. It was one of the new phones, he'd finally gotten an updated phone from another cat, and motioned to it. "I could also try and ask other senshi...the few I know." He said slowly to her. There weren't many on his contacts list but it was worth a shot, it might turn up some help for the cat.(Actually she could also offer the new emergency app for his senshi phone, since he doesn't have that. She could mention it as well.)

Ash perked up as he pulled his phone out, her face lighting up to see that he had one of the new upgrades rather than the basic phone the senshi used to have. It wasn't one she had done, but that meant the other cats were picking up on it and the upgrades were spreading! It was a pleasing thing and Ash rumbled a rich purr, reaching to rub her cheeks against the offered phone.
"Oh, you have a new phone, how wonderful! I'm so happy to see these making their way to senshi hands. Have you downloaded the new app I created? Its an emergency beacon, could come in handy to have." She chuckled, touching the phone with her nose before she pulled back. Ash shook her head and rolled her shoulders as she settled back, her face up turned.
"I don't know her civilian name or where she lives. I wish I did. Not everyone wants to share that. I've also been asking around and I sent a mass message to phones asking about her. Sadly, there have been no leads yet, but I thought it worth while to ask you. If you can tell those you know, again, that could be worth while too. The more eyes that are looking for her, the greater the chance of finding her."

"I got it not that long ago, I'm glad for the upgrade. At least this way it's more like my normal civilian phone." Which meant he was better with using it, as it was less cumbersome with all those letter keys and such. "A new app?" He questioned when she mentioned it. Shaking his head as she went on to describe it. "To be honest I haven't run into another cat since we saw each other, sorta, and before that the one who gave me the new phone. So I haven't had the opportunity to learn about this new app." Though it sounded very useful and like a good thing to have on his phone.
"Of course, I'll tell people and I was hoping you might know who she is as a civilian. I could try and run a search, or a few, on my computer when I get home. I'm better with that than I am with making friends in this war." he said as he reached down to stroke along Ash's back. "Do you think you could show me how to get the app on my phone?" It sounded useful and thus he wanted it on his phone, he never knew when he'd find himself in a situation he needed help with.
"Mmm...and so you know, as you said not many give up their civilian identities, I'm Ian Bach." It could one day help him or someone else, you never knew. Strange things happened in this city - like this whole war. "I'll try and help you find your missing senshi."

The silver cat arched happily as she was stroked, her purr deepening with the tactile pleasure of it. This was why senshi were so wonderful... they were always free with their affections and, save for maybe one or two, were quite happy to accept her great wealth of knowledge and advice. She was a wonderful resource, more senshi should take advantage of it!
Gathering herself as she sat back, Ash jumped for Chaldene's shoulders and landed lightly. She settled herself across them as though it were her right as Queen to do so, paws draped down one side of his neck and tail down the other. A paw peeked out beside his face to wave at his phone.
"Go to that settings App. There is a section for Downloads. Just click on the distress beacon and hit download! It'll install on your phone, all ready to use. I realized its kind of inconvenient for senshi to pull out their phone, scroll through a bunch of contacts and call or text someone... when they're in the middle of being attacked and need back up." Ash chuckled as she relaxed on her perch, her tail gently curling. "So thus the app... just hit the button and it sends out a distress signal to all the phones in a mile or so of you, giving them your location and any power signatures around you. Hopefully it'll come in handy for people. I know I could have used it once or twice."

Surprised at the cat wrap he smiled and reached up to pet her head gently. It was a very odd situation he found himself in, he had never had a pet so this was a very unusual thing for him. It was also odd to move his arm back over his shoulder to pet her head.
Blinking he nodded and followed her instructions and moments later the app was downloading." It will be useful, I'm sure. But...is there a way to voice activate it? If say the phone is knocked from the senshi's hand during a fight? It might be a good idea, just in case, a friend can get pretty heated and if they think we're calling for help they might...relieve us of our phone." So voice activation might be a useful way to activate the app so no matter what help could be called for. He couldn't help but think of a situation like that, figuring many had been in a situation like that or could be in the future. Not to mention he was tech savvy and he liked to improve upon things, add to them, and generally make things easier and more user friendly.
"You've been in fights?" he asked after a moment, one finger settling on her paws. "Who would hurt a cat?" Sure she was a guardian cat, and a helper of the senshi and knights, but she was still a cat - an animal that was how small!

Ash beamed as he downloaded the app, filled with a warmth of pride that one of her creations was finding a new home.
"You can set a voice command that will activate the beacon." She said as she waved a slender paw at the screen he held. "It seemed like a good idea, for lots of I-can't-use-my-hands situations."
The silver guardian sighed as he played with her paws, gently patting him back in idle play.
"Its true, I am a delicate lady, but that doesn't stop people from bringing the fight to me! Negaverse agents trying to stuff me in bags, youma wanting a bite... I've had occasion to need this app as much as anyone, which is why I decided to make it. I don't have a bonded senshi, so there is not always one close to hand when I need them." Ash rumbled a purr as she rubbed her face against Chaldene. "I have lots and lots of senshi I get to look after though, so I don't mind so much not having just one I'm devoted to."
Maybe someday... But it was hard to think of limiting herself to just one, even with all the benefits of it.

"That is a good idea, it'll help also if the phone finds itself being thrown away from it's owner. Can it pick up a persons voice from a distance? If not perhaps that can be added in...as a patch or update to the app? I mean if a Negaverse officer gets a hold of the phone and throws it the senshi may not be able to get to the phone to activate it. So if it can pick up their voice from a distance it might help...or something else maybe..." He said thoughtfully as he wondered if there could be some other way to accomplish the same thing. He was sure a situation like he'd described could crop up and then what?
"You need it...so you have a phone as well?" He asked wondering just where she could put it and how on earth a cat, with paws, could use a phone. "I'm not surprised youma would want you as a snack or that officers would try to take you." He was surprised some didn't out right try and kill the poor cat. "A bonded senshi....?" He questioned looking down at her, this was the first time he'd heard that term. "Is there some sort of difference?" he asked. "Between you and a bonded cat?" Was it just a matter of devotion and she just chose to word things like that? But she seemed happy enough to be able to spend time with all different senshi so that was good, right?
"I've never heard that term before..."Whimsical Blue Sorry on the delay, had a lot in rl going on and just found this rp.

"WELL NOW." Ash said as she puffed herself up, feeling pleased to have knowledge she could share.
"Cats have the ability to bond with senshi. Its a special sort of relationship between a cat and its person or team. Some cats bond and some don't. I'm one of the later kinds." She shrugged at that point, head-butting his hand for more attention. "I don't think there is a terribly great difference, beyond maybe the camaraderie and responsibility towards the senshi you've bonded with. I just feel that towards all senshi, sort of."
"As for the voice command, I'll have to work that into a patch, like you said. Its a very useful thing, I think, and it would be good to have it. Now, as for my phone!" Ash sat up again, lifting her head to tap her visor with a paw. "This is it! I reworked the innards of this and set it up to work just like a senshi phone, except it can project holograms and its voice activated when I need it to be. Its quite fancy, don't you think?"
She chuckled and preened, turning this way and that to show off her gadget.

As she head butted him, seeking more affection, he was willing to continue petting the cat gently as she spoke. The bond didn't seem like such a big thing really, at least not being bonded didn't have some downside for her. He'd have been terribly upset to find out otherwise. "I'm glad to know that not being bonded has no ill effects on you or a downside." Hearing why she didn't bond somehow didn't surprise him, it did please him though. To feel like that for every senshi, even ones she hadn't met.
"I'd be happy to help you with working on such a patch - if you want or need." he said as he put himself out there, offering to assist the tech savvy kitty. He's never worked with many people on tech things and here he was offering to work wit ha cat on some phone application patch - the wonders of magic.
"So you have holographic technology." He asked moving in closer to inspect her computer and nodded in approval. "I like it. It's impressive. I don't even think we have that level of technology for people." Though who knows what governments had but wouldn't be found out about by the public for years. If they didn't have it he was sure they'd kill for it...or offer a small country and a boat load of money for it. "I would really like to work with you on different things in the future." He didn't even know what but he wanted to work with this kitty on things other than the patch.

Ash had an aw, how cute moment when Chaldene offered to help her with the patch. It was pretty adorable... it would be like watching a child fumble through a finger painting, she supposed. But it was good that he wanted to help and wanted to learn.
"If you want to work up something, I can help you finish it off. I'm always willing to help out like that... I could give you the code for the app I made, but I'm not sure you'd be able to follow it. Its not like the code languages you know, the learning curve would be a little steep." She shrugged as she bumped her head against his hand. "But that's not to say I couldn't teach you either! Could be fun, actually. Its sort of like my headset, in small part... Its so far advanced from Earth tech, I'm not sure how well it would be understood. Its definitely not something any humans have access to yet. Maybe someday, though."
"Why don't we agree to another time to meet up, hmm?" Ash chirped, drawing back to blink up happily at him. "We'll work on some things. That would be fun, wouldn't it?"

"Could you show me then? Not tonight but another night when we both have time? I'd like to learn this code so I can help more." He sounded eager, he was eager, he wanted to not just help with this but he wanted to learn this coding language as he was just that sort of person. "Is it a code that anyone would know? Or is it something only guardian cats know?" He questioned looking at her. She answered it moments later and he nodded his head. "i see. I'd like to learn it if you don't mind." It might not be something he'd learn easy, it might take long time, but that didn't mean he didn't want to learn or try to.
"Yes, that would be good. Another meeting on another night. We can arrange it easily I'm sure - I have my phone." With upgrades now and he could contact her. Getting to his feet and stretching he looked around with a smile. "Be safe Ash."Whimsical Blue You can finish it if you'd like or we can finish it with this.
