(( For those looking for a point and to just casually hang/meet with whomever comes and goes! ))
There was only one short period of her life Nora could remember when she had worked this long for just food, and it hadn't mattered then how they had dressed it--Nutritional Services, Food Service Worker, Dietary Aid--it had, in the end, been about churning what amounted to boring, bland slop to children. Here, however, despite the uncomfortably familiar sense of putting effort into something some hunters probably wouldn't fuss about, she found it more than just a fun suggestion to change things up at the otherwise quite serious institution: the concentration it took to balance out the people who had signed up to help her was a rigorous workout and a break from her day to day life, period. She had started to lose track of what day it was which, while a loss Beatrix insisted was a good thing, was not good for a trainee on a tight schedule.
As such, the work grounded her back in reality, if only for a day. With her hair protected by a net and her apron tied on, and after the regularly scheduled dinner had been put away, she and her team replaced it with the fruits of their labor. Norathentweetedaspromised and then, after personally thanking each hunter who had helped, took a seat at one of the tables and gave herself a small break. Tea later; for now, she chugged a bottle of water and allowed herself to be satisfied as she inhaled the various scents.

"Next time you can make me tea," said Gale, glancing over at Nora as he leaned against the wall behind her.
"And more kippers."

If it were possible for Abbi to break down a door as a way to show her overall enthusiasm for brinner, she would have. But as that would have meant damages to Deus itself, and because for all her excitement she was not willing to be destructive. Instead she settled for making a number of squeaking noises as she entered the area, and continued with a rise in pitch and volume until she had herself a plate piled with steaming, delicious food and was setting it down next to Nora.
Normally a bit more on the personal bubble side of things, Abbi felt breakfast food was a decent time to break such holdings, and after sliding into the seat next to the older woman, gently laid her head on Nora's shoulder. "You're the best, did you know that?" She asked in a dreamy voice, batting her lashes at Nora before she squealed in joy and turned to her plate to dig in with all the fervor of a child.

Real food wafted into his area of smell as Matt headed towards the cafeteria, for the last five minutes his phone had been buzzing constantly as Abbi texted him about some sort of brinner being held. Food, actual food that someone wanted to eat was a massive bonus in Matt’s world as he opened the doors and gave a large grin of joy as he stared at waffles and sausage and so one and so forth. He didn’t even hesitate as he crammed as much food as he could onto one plate and headed over to where he had spotted Abbi.
Taking the open seat next to her he sat down and took a full bite of waffles before swallowing it down with some milk. “Hope this seat wasn’t taken and I am not intruding on you, thanks for the text Abbi.”
Nora or not, Leslie wasn't going to turn down free food. He skulked in after Abbi, piling a plate high (and, somehow, sneaking food into plastic bags in his pockets because of course he did) and trying to stay inconspicuous.
Poorly.

"Have you not learned to cook for yourself yet?" Nora shot back at Gale pleasantly, clicking her tongue. "I thought this business of being an adult meant some amount of culinary skill at the very least. Or are you just an adult in a select few areas?"
He was saved further critiquing, such as why his girlfriend wasn't feeding him, with the arrival of Abbi and her friend. She laid an arm around the girl with a tired but pleased look. "I do," she purred, idly stroking the redhead's hair, "I do~ Witness, Gale, what being respectful to your cousin looks like. Now eat up, dear. No, wait." She turned the same look on the man who had followed after Abbi. "Tell me about your friend here first. And you."
She snapped in Leslie's general direction without looking.
"Happy to see you're still skulking about~"
Dawson bounded through the open doors and yelled, "BRINNERRRRRRRRR!" like a war cry, almost jolting Nora out of her seat. The man quickly piled up a little bit of everything, though he most certainly took a healthy portion of American style bacon without shame; one did not take bacon for granted.
He plopped down opposite those gathered and with wide eyes whispered to Nora, "Marry me."
Nora simply laughed.

At the mention of Gale, Abbi peeked behind them and gave the man a small wave, oblivious to what exactly Nora meant by being respectful and all. She had fully intended to begin eating now, but was joined by Matt, and instructed by Nora, so Abbi was patient though she did dip a finger into some syrup for a quick lick. "I was saving the seat just for you! So 'course you're not intruding!" Abbi nudged an elbow in Matt's side affectionately before she turned to Nora. "This is Matt Duffy! He's a doctor, or kind of! He's a Moon and very nice." After smiles and introductions were given, the teen leaned toward Nora and whispered something else, though she didn't really care if Matt overheard her or not. "He is also very pretty." Very important.
Free to finally dig in, Abbi did so with relish, humming happily as she savored honest to glob breakfast food. There wasn't much time to enjoy the quiet before Dawson burst in and sent the ginger girl into a fit of giggles. Once he'd joined them she settled back into eating, waving a happy hand at him. "Well, she didn't say no." She pointed out helpfully when Nora failed to verbally reply to Dawson, and then grabbed a napkin to ball up and chunk at Leslie. "Come sit down, Grumpy Gus!"

Leslie scowled, but kindly refrained from flipping Nora the bird. He was, on occasion, smart enough to not bite the hand that fed him.
As he took a seat near Abbi, Felicia stumbled in with a ravenous look on her face.
"Buh," she said, hearts almost growing in her very eyes as she began to load up on food, "buh-breakfast food is amazing." For being skinnier than a rail, Felicia could truly pack away the food. It probably helped that she only remembered to eat once a day, at most, if food wasn't in her immediate vicinity.
With her mouth full, she beamed at Nora. "T-t-thanks!" She enthusiastically waved at everyone else, strip of bacon still in hand.
For being a social creature, Hattie was pretty much a failure when it came to keeping up with Deus' twitter. But while the announcement of the food wasn't there to catch her attention, the scent of it certainly did. The tall, thin red head followed the delicious scents, and came across heaven.
"My god~" She breathed out, hand on her chest as if overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of honest-to-god breakfast foods. "I died, right? I'm dead? This is Heaven?" She wandered her way over to the food, her hand hovering over a plate, and finally turned to look at the modest grouping of Hunters, only two of whom she recognized immediately. "Can I have some? Is this everyone food? Or should I get out now before I do something stupid?" The door was pointed to, more than ready to see herself out and cut off any emotional ties that may or may not already be forming.

Noemi sat down next to Gale, coughing a little.
"Hola, Senor Gale." She smiled shyly at him. "Is cousin not joining you today?" Stormy was probably out on a mission after all.
“Perfect then,” Matt returned a nudge to Abbi’s side before taking a large forkful of waffle before turning his attention to the bacon. Baccccooonnnnnn, he had missed it had been so long since he was acquainted with it. Fruit and granola bars were all he had been eating for last few weeks for breakfast, or anything else that he could cram into his pocket without worry.
Looking over he gave Abbi’s friend quick wave of a syrup covered fork and a grin, “Hey, nice to meet you thank you for this food.” He pretended to pay no attention to Abbi’s somewhat secretive comment to her friend about his looks but his one visible ear turned a dark shade of red as he buried himself back into his food. As Dawson arrived Matt merely waved to him and returned a wave to the rather skinny girl with her mouth full.
Noting Hattie standing near the table he waved to her unsure if she would even recognize himas he swallowed the combination of waffles and bacon down. “Eat more the merry!”

"Pleasure to meet you too. Any friend of Abbi's is a friend of mine." It was delightful to see Matt's ear redden with a simple compliment, and she passed Abbi a subtle, pleased look. "He is a sight," she agreed, not at all whispering. "I like what you've done with your hair, Mr. Duffy. It's a very bold blue you've chosen--brings out your pretty eyes."
At Abbi's additional comment to Dawson, she passed the other Moon a wink and was rewarded with a giddy and nervous noise and more blushing. Precious.
Nora was mildly surprised to see how much food Felicia was packing away, but it was the highest compliment a cook could be given, and the Sun's smile was radiant. "Isn't it? You're very welcome."
"Don't die just yet, sweetie!" she called to the newly arrived redhead. "Everything's free, but supplies are limited." She hoped the girl by Gale also took the invitation; for now they sat unmolested, at least until Gale decided to pipe up or join the group.
"HATTIEEEEE." Dawson turned at the familiar voice, fists full of bacon. He'd apparently taken Felicia's lead as far as waving it around energetically, both to Hattie and to Matt when he saw the greeting. "Oh m'gawd, gurl, get it!" he gleefully goaded her. "C'mere, sit by me. We gotta save some a'this fer our friends!" After they'd had their fill, of course.
"I'm marryin' this lady, didja hear?!" he enthused rather loudly.

Gale scowled.
"I can cook, it doesn't mean I like to," he said indignantly, resisting the urge to reach out and push Nora's side. Or throw eggs at her, like a child. "But I live on my own, of course I know how to cook."
Sort of. Gale's scowl deepened to one of slight petulance the longer Nora talked, but then he gave up and just rolled his eyes, instead focusing on the redhead that was now squished in next to his cousin. "Excellent timing," he said. "Please take this thing - " he gestured at Nora. " - away from me."
A small voice beside him caught his attention; he turned sideways and saw Noemi seated next to him and Gale's expression softened a little.
"She's, ah...sleeping right now," he said with a slight smile. "How are you, Noemi, it's been a while."

Noemi startled at the larger man's voice, her head swiveling to look at him. Since it seemed to be a rowdy group, she sunk a little further into her chair.
"I am good! It's good to see you again!" She looked at the food and licked her lips...desert food wasn't as good as homebase MRES and even better then was homemade.
But she was way to timid to just help herself. Really she was just here cause she recognized a few people.
"Oooh, thanks, pretty lady!" Hattie's bright blue eyes lit up as not one, but three people called to her their approval - in her mind that was majority, which was good enough for her! She turned eagerly back to the food, snatching up a plate and piling on as much food as she could handle, and balanced the plate on a full glass of orange juice, eager to get this breakfast started.
"Hey, Doc!" On her way to the table, she brushed her fingers along the back of Matt's shoulders, and plunked herself down in a chair beside Dawson. "Consuela~" Hattie cackled next, winking at the shorter, stouter man who was double fisting bacon. "Lookin' good buddy!" She reached out, aiming to rub his scruffy face -
But stopped short, as he announced marriage to the unknown lady who had also invited her to eat. Her hand paused as she stared between them both, wide-eyed in surprise.
"Whoa, really! Damn, you lucked out!" She whistled, looking between the two, her comment meant for both of them. "To the happy couple!" Her orange juice was raised in the air to toast the happy couple.
