Glitnir could have gone out for a drink tonight. He was thinking that he should have and just kicked back for a bit, but instead, he was out patrolling in the sort of-cold of early March. It was another week before he could go back up to his Wonder and poke around with all the weird stuff in the courthouse basement. He was really starting to wonder why he had even bothered aside from the ever-present need to make sure the streets were Negaverse-free. Well, that was odd, he hadn't really needed a reason to patrol before... he was probably just being lazy.

A basic senshi's aura registered on the edges of his senses. Where could she or he be? On a roof? He had a bad habit of missing when there were others on roofs. As usual, he was going to let the other patroller know that they had been spotted. "Hey, where are you? I know you're around here somewhere!" Hopefully he'd get a response; if not, the senshi probably just didn't want to be bothered.

"Doesn't call much more attention than an aura does," Glitnir said before turning around. The senshi in front of him seemed familiar; she had been at Avalon, if he recalled correctly. "I've seen you before. From Avalon, right?" He remembered her little jabs at him well enough. Sure, he had probably deserved them for making a pass at Hvergelmir, but that didn't help his perception of the senshi any. "I see you've still got a mouth on you." He meant it in a mostly friendly way. Mostly.

Glitnir ran his free hand through his hair and gave Phact a contrite smile. "No, I guess not." Honestly, he wasn't quite sure what he had done to earn the senshi's ire aside from bad timing in Avalon and calling her out on being a bit mouthy. "I don't think I ever got your name. In case you didn't get mine, I'm Glitnir, Squire of Mars. And you are?" He wasn't feeling so sure that the senshi would actually volunteer her name since she seemed a bit peevish, but it was worth a shot.

"Nice to meet you again, Phact," Glitnir said, bringing his free hand back to his side. "Yeah... it really was kind of a mess, wasn't it. I'm wondering how the others who got pulled to the Wonder fared. I can't be too sure how it ended, since, well, we all got kicked off the island just as suddenly as we got pulled to it. Maybe I'll send Babylon a note and he can update me, since he's close to Avalon." Whether Babylon would be willing or able to divulge the fate of his lady's wonder would be a matter he could tussle with later.

"That's a good point," Glitnir said, cupping his chin thoughtfully with his free hand. "Hmm... it must have been something to do with the Wonder itself. Maybe the Wonder did something to pull us there? Or maybe it was the Code? I don't know why the Code would pull senshi there. It's all kind of weird." The more he thought about it, the less sense it made. "Probably just the Wonder itself calling for help. Maybe. Maybe we can just chalk it up to 'magic' and leave it at that."

Glitnir was starting to get the feeling that Phact was a bit of a wet blanket. Then again, that might have been an unfair appraisal of her fair objection. "That's true, but it's also true that magic does account for all those unexplained and odd things. As for the code... I don't know that much about it, but it's like the force that powers and connects the Knights. Something like that." He had a feeling that she wasn't going to be pleased with his incomplete explanation.

"Mm." Glitnir nodded somewhat bitterly. "But it never hurts to keep looking. If you just give up, that's as good as leaving the question completely unanswered. Even if you don't get a full answer, you can still gather as many pieces as possible." He cast a quick glance off to the side. "Would you like to patrol with me for a bit? We can split whenever you'd like, but an extra hand in youma dusting would be helpful." It felt a little silly to ask, as he was feeling pretty sure she wouldn't accept the invitation, but it was worth a shot to at least be friendly.

Well, that was a surprise. Glitnir hoped it didn't show on his face that he wasn't expecting Phact to say yes. "Sounds like a plan! Work hard, get your blood pumping, then go home and get some good sleep." He took a few steps forward, then looked over his shoulder to see if Phact was coming along. "This way?"
