Following Gyokuen's death at the hands of Kouen's rebel group Lucian became increasingly violent. Streets ran red with the blood of his enemy's and his people were slaughtered. Having quickly turned from a benevolent king to a mad tyrant who wanted nothing more than to watch the world burn. In his anger and rage following the death of his own son Lucian converted all of his loyal subjects into warriors. Women and children worked at the forge day and night to supply his army. Meanwhile Kouen cemented his presence and control over the Doma region following his personal victory over Gyokuen. Having amassed an army he believed was superior Kouen launched an attack on Valaria. His army was defeated in a brutal fashion. It is said that Lucian mounted the heads of every enemy soldier onto spikes. Lucian didn't wait long before returning with his own invasion which leveled the Doma land. Buildings were destroyed and burnt to the ground. No one who did not run was left alive and few who ran were spared. Lucian himself took the head of Kouen in what is said to have been an epic battle spanning hours. Alas in the end Kouen was to brash and his hand was severed, followed by his head. In the third year of his reign Lucian faced great betrayal when his general Abryon turned against him in a public display. With the aid of the spymaster Eleven, Abryon was able to defend the Zaibatsu from Lucian's incoming forces. With the Zaibatsu once again liberated, any and all who would seek rebellion and revolution flocked to the formerly Divine land.
In response to the Zaibatsu's new found independence Lucian began cracking the whip to improve his army once again for a large scale invasion. Similarly the Divine Zaibatsu wasted little time in preparing their army for war. Though considerably smaller than the Valarian forces the Zaibatsu soldiers were given far superior training by the number beings Ten and Eleven, as well as a mysterious man by the name of Blade and a woman named Ivy. One can not assume that Lucian's army would be easily beaten though, for Lucian himself trained most of his men and then sent them to train others. Now five years have past and both Valaria and the Zaibatsu have prepared their armies for the war to end all wars. For the final battle the Zaibatsu would ever face. All things must end.
