Cambria’s head had healed alright. She hadn’t died in her sleep, so she assumed she hadn’t had any sort of concussion or anything of the sort, to be honest. She had planned to go shopping today, but found herself gravitating to the park. It was such a beautiful day…and the sounds of people laughing and screaming and running around… Spring was just the nicest sometimes…
Most of the snow had melted and the grass, while not green yet was still…somewhat inviting looking.
There was a soccerball on the grass…she wasn’t sure who it belonged to…but damn. She wanted to play soccer right now. Cambria looked around, wondering if the owner of the ball was going to come back for it any time soon…but since nobody appeared in the two seconds she looked…she began kicking the ball around a little, grinning as it all came flooding back to her.
Oh she loved soccer. Damn. This was something she had to get back into…

Daniel had come to the park to escape his brother. Not Reubin - is other brother, whom he avoided persistantly, and trot for the park earlier, putting his soccer ball down to drink some water. When he'd turned around - well, there was someone kicking it, and he tilted his head, blinking before moving to the soccer field again. Well if they wanted to play, sure, and he bolted to run alongside, grinning. "Hola!"

Cambria blinked and looked down at the source of the voice. “Hola yourself. Is this your soccer ball?” She gave a little grin and kicked it away from him, beginning to run herself. “I haven’t played in a while, but if you want a quick round of one on one…I really don’t have anything else to do…” Shopping could wait, that was for sure. This really had the potential to be pretty darn fun.
She hadn’t had a game in…what, three or four years? Not since junior year when she was on the soccer team back at Meadowview.
“So…what do you say kid? You up for a game?” Because she totally was. He was so going down.

"Yes!" Daniel loved socer, and wiggled at her offer, all excitement and childlike delight. "Yes it is mine yes I'd love one on one!" And he tried chasing, giggling as he ran rapidly, beaming excitedly.

Cambria continued kicking the ball, worming her way towards the trees at the edge of the park. “Okay, so first we have to set up where our goals are…hm?” She glanced around and nodded. “How about that tree over there, the one with the twisted trunk? That’ll be my goal…and yours can be…” The girl searched for something else easily noticeable. “How about that bench over there can be yours…so I just have to…”
She kicked the ball hard, aiming it right under the bench.
“I just have to beat you now. Game on, kid! Prepare to eat my dust.” Cambria took off running, clearly the best…and only thing to do in this case was win this impromptu game. Then she could go shopping and all would be right with the world again. No big deal, right?
If she didn’t win…well. Then she would have done a lot of trash talk for nothing…and that was unacceptable. Getting beat by a kid was always something that was unaccpetable. But...this was giving her a pretty interesting idea of what she could do with her life. Being a soccer coach didn't sound half bad...

LOW, but Daniel moved after her, suddenly tearing into a hard run. Although she'd taken a goal, the boy was noty easily deterred, diving for the ball to kick it away from her, or at least try. Twelve was still short and he grunted, trying to run as fast as possible. If only it was a battle, he'd do better - but for now a game worked, even if he needed some game-approved creative kicking.

Cambria laughed, letting Daniel get the ball away from her…but just this once. She ran after the boy and laughed again. “Good play there, kid! Come on, come at my goal. You’re not really going to get an old lady like me win, are you? Seriously?”
Not that she was old…she couldn’t even legally drink yet…so…she was still a kid. Seriously.
Everything was serious when you were Cambria. Clearly.
She was wondering just how this kid got so fast, and why she wasn’t this fast anymore…maybe it was time to start herself on some sort of workout program to up her speed…soccer coaches needed to know how to bring their skills to the field…didn’t they?

Daniel giggled, continuing to drbble the ball before kicking it for Cambria's goal, giggling and laughing. "Not old~" He crooned. "Just slow. Papa is old!" And the boy made his play, kicking hard.

Cambria dove for the ball, skidding across the…the still very cold ground. Her hands reached out to try and stop the ball from passing her goal…but it just barely slipped through her fingertips. Damn. Well…it had been a good play…and at least the grass wasn’t yet green so that meant there was no grass stains from her skidding…that was a plus, especially since she was planning to go out later. So.
“All right, you might have gotten this goal…but I’m going to beat you over all…in fact, I just let you have that one, yeah. That’s right. So how about we go and do first to three goals…we both stand at one now.
The girl got up, brushing the front of her clothes off and grabbing the soccer ball, a very happy gleam in her eyes. “And…don’t call me slow, kid. I’m really. I’m not that slow. At least when I’m trying!”
She kicked the ball and took off, her laugher following her as she made her way back towards his goal.

"Slloooow@" But Daniel was off again like a puppy, running for the ball as fast as he could, giggling and laughing. If he couldn't steal the ball, maybe he could block his goal? WHO KNEW BUT HE HAD TO DEFEND IT! ...At least she wasn't a Negaverse soldier though. Then she'd have to be handed with the horror of cheating.

Cambria couldn’t handle this boy, seriously. She hadn’t laughed this much in ages, and it felt as though her sides would split from both the running and the laughter. “You’ll never be able to block this, and stop calling me slow. I could outrun you any day, shrimp!”
Almost as though to prove her point, she put on the biggest burst of speed she could, hoping to beat Daniel to his goal, and get the ball right into it, oh she knew she shouldn’t be this competitive with a kid…but he kept calling her slow…and that just wasn’t nice!
He should respect his elders!

Daniel brightened at the challenge and giggled, putting on his own burst of speed to chase. If she scored, well, that was okay. She was nice, and competition didn't really bother him. Besides, they were only playing! Best adult, really,. "Gonna catch up!" He warned, voice cheery.

Cambria ran as fast as she possibly could, sliding and getting the ball right into the boy’s goal. “Hah! Two to one now, kid. Now I just have to finish this game, and I’ll be on my way. I’m planning on going shopping later, so…”
Not that she really had much money left, but retail therapy was the best kind, even if she couldn’t afford it.
She grabbed the ball again, kicking it to the middle of their playing field and raced off towards it. It was getting later than she had anticipated and she was getting kind of sweaty. It was time to end this, and fast.
But even when the game ended, she was sure as heck going to find this kid and play again one day. This was fun.

"Oh..." And for a moment, Daniel sounded disappointed as he gave chase to try getting to the ball first. "Can we play again some time?" Shopping was boring, but soccer was nice and Daniel slid for the ball to kick it rapidly, trying to get to it, send it on a good flight, and if he got muddle? Eh, it worked in the end,

Cambria got to the ball first. And oh was she happy about that. With one final kick, she sent it rolling towards the boy’s goal, cheering as it made it inside. “Aha! I win! Take that you kid. Bahaha. Who’s the old one now, hm?”
Oh she wanted to do some sort of victory dance, but instead she held out a hand. “I would love to play again sometime, maybe some time when I don’t have plans to shop. I love soccer, and I really do want to thank you for reminding me of that. You’re pretty good at it kid, keep it up and you can end up being a real good player one day if you keep practicing, so…keep it up. If you want, I can give you my number and we can set up a day to have another game? If you don’t think that’s weird or anything.”
She grinned, pulling out her phone. “Or you can just give me yours and I’ll shoot you a text.”
