Olea walked through the halls of the Great Tree, her arms filled with straws and reeds to the point that they were almost overflowing. She found, lately, that she was more of a hoarder than a creator these days, as she wanted to be sure to have a large stock supply for when things finally climaxed. She could feel tension in the air, everywhere she went, and it put her on edge.
The Fauny wasn't paying attention as she walked, her thoughts drifting off to some far away place where there was an endless field of golden wheat stalks with a single worn rock in the middle of it where she would sit and think. The place was completely in her mind, but it was a calm place that helped her quell her fears and uncertainties.
Unfortunately it also left her completely oblivious to everything around her, and she was walking out of muscle memory; looking but not seeing.

Time heals all things. The tree was healing and he had finally healed himself thanks in part to Twilight Sparkle's care. It felt better then he could ever express to have his wings back. He still wasn't quite up to his old breakneck speeds but every day he got faster and stronger.
Mind completely on soaring, he wasn't watching his own hooves as closely as he should have. Stepping into the main traffic way, he missed the walking straws. With an oof he was knocked off his own balance. In his favor, the wall was right there and he was able to stabilize himself with a shoulder to the wall. Realizing what he had done he called out, "I am so sorry!" before checking to the well-being of the one he ran into.

With a soft gasp, Olea was jolted straight from her field of thoughts, and right back into reality as she landed hard on her butt. Straw rustled as it fell to the ground, and the reeds clattered and rolled a little. "Oh my gracious, I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying attention and-"
Her voice suddenly stoped in a high pitched squeak as she saw exactly who it was that she had run into. "Oh... oh no, oh no. I'm so sorry." Her eyes quickly dropped to the ground, her face turning bright red in pure embarrassment and sure that if it were possible, she would die from this humiliation.
Hands shaking, she knelt to the ground and started scrambling for straws and reeds, repeating her 'I'm sorry' with a nervous voice.

Kneeling down to her level he tried to stem the tide of apologies, "No, please its fine I really should have been paying closer attention to where I was going." Starting to pick up some of the closer straw he said, "Let me help you get this back up." Offering a smile he continued to try and help her get the times she dropped up off the ground.

The prince's apologies only served to embarrass her even more. "Please don't apologize, I was the one who wasn't looking. I should have been the one to avoid this. I let my guard down and I ran into you."
She began gently piling the straw and reeds into a single direction, lining them all up neatly. "Y-you don't need to help me, it's alright. I'm sure you have plenty more important things to do." A piece of stra fell from her hair in front of her face, and she quickly plucked it and smoothed out her hair to look for more.

He could argue with her over the fact that he was at fault, but that didn't seem that was working. Instead he offered, "It is not trouble, I have no where special to be." Noting the extra straw poking out from her lovely mane he apologized ahead of time, "Please pardon me, I don't think you are trying to make a hat." Reaching carefully he removed the straw silently hoping it wasn't going to get caught and cause her any harm.

Olea was starting to realize that he wasn't going to go anywhere until the straw was cleaned up from the floor. And she was slowly coming to terms with this. That is, until he had reached across and removed a missed straw.
Her eyes grew wide and she completely froze, staring at the ground in a completely startled panic. Breath in. Breath out. Listen to the whispers of the wheat. Think of your rock, and relax.
"Why are you helping me?"

While he was sorely sorry he did it after realizing it, for a few moments he looked at her like she asked something strange. In fairness she had, why wouldn't he help her? All the same it was rude of him to do so. "You looked like you could use some help." Smiling at her he acted like it was nothing unusual for it was perfectly normal.

Olea paused for a moment and looked up at him. Genuinely looked at him, her head tilted slightly to the side. He was certainly curious...
A golden strand in his mane caught her eye and she pointed to where it would be. "You have a hitch hiker..." She certainly was calming a little now, but she still felt embarrassed over this whole thing. There was royalty in front of her, on the ground on his knees picking up straw and reeds.

Raising his hand he tried to find the straw left in his mane but was running his hand through the wrong side. Unable to see it the stallion had to try the best he could. Certainly, he could have used magic to solve the problem but never would. This left him messing up part of his mane, giving an upswing to the hair but missing the straw riding the earthen waves.
"Persistent hitch-hiker, I can't find it." There was no doubt that it was there, he trusted she was pointing out something. It was just without something to see his reflection he was unable to find it. Looks like it may need to stay there as he was not having any luck dislodging the unwelcome accessory.

Olea watched the prince mess with his hair, watching it stick up in ways that it shouldn't, and she struggled not to let loose a small giggle, a smile playing on her mouth as she relaxed a little more. He was utterly helpless with finding the stray, and she wondered why he didn't just use alicorn magic to remedy the situation.
Hesitantly, she reached out, pulled her hand back a little in uncertainty, then continued with the motion and quickly plucked the straw from his locks. She pulled her hand back quickly, almost as if touching any part of him any longer would burn her or harm her. "There, it's gone."

Watching the straw in her hand, he chuckled at himself and thanked her, "Thank you very much, I don't think I would have found that one with out help." At least he was able to put him mane mostly back in order. Still wasn't perfect but then he never went for perfect. Shaking his head once to finalize the process he asked her, "Do you need any help getting to where you are going?" That pile looked like it obstructed her vision.

"I-it wasn't a p-problem." She stammered out, still nervous by the fact that she TOUCHED HIS MANE. Oh goodness why did she do that?
At his question, her face returned to red again, and slowly she bobbed her head up and down in a nod. There was a very high chance that she wouldn't be able to bring this all safely back to her room. "I-I can take the straw, as it gets itchy... The reeds are a smaller pile too."

Its possible he didn't know the difference, more like didn't mind either way. Picking up a healthy pile he didn't leave much for the mare to pick up herself. Standing up he smiled at her and said, "Lead the way when you are ready." This didn't phase him one bit as he waited for her to get what little was left and show him where it needed to go.

Despite what she had planned, the male had gathered nearly all of her materials in his arms. Quickly, she picked up the rest of what she could find and held it carefully. "I-it's right down this way. I store all my materials in my room, as well as most of my finished weaving. I really only do this for fun, it's relaxing and it makes me feel... different."
She blinked, then flushed again. "S-sorry, I started rambling...."
