[Solo RP] Finding Myself [Kuro-Yume]

[Kara Asumie]

Kuro-Yume was wandering about lost in his own mind as he was starting to lose sight of who he is. What meaning his life once held. There was love in his life. His mate and daughters were all so loving but something was missing and he felt as if he was fading away outta sight and mind of the world around him. Maybe what he needed was to go on a spirit journey to find himself before he is fully lost and becomes an empty shell of who he once was. Telling his lover that this is what he needed to do before going was a must. And his daughters are fully grown so he didn't have to worry about them so much. After getting the ok from his mate he heads off in order to find himself. Hoping that it isn't something that will take too long to do.

Heading deeper into the forest looking about as it is night time. He has never really done a lot of traveling at night but this new change wasn't so bad. The world was lite up by the stars and moon at night and he had to admit that it was truly pretty. This was a good change but that also means that he would need to find a safe place to hide in the day time to sleep but he would worry about that when the sun was about to wake until then he was going to enjoy the view that the night gave him. After all he hasn't been up past sun down since he was a colt. So it was nice to compare what it was like back then to what it is now. Still pretty that was one thing that didn't change. But everything seemed smaller then it once use to. But that was normal after all he is an adult now so he is bigger in size then he once was.

Stopping in his tracks as he looks up through the trees to the Moon. The light coming down to kiss the earth was guided by the tree's leaves and branches. That was something he had never noticed before. He smiles as he recalls hearing someone tell him once that you won't notice the little things until you are older. Understanding that now as he then looks straight ahead and continues moving forward. Still feeling lost and empty but that is something he is planning on changing and that is why he is taking this path to find himself so that he can return to his family as someone who he is proud of and not the empty shell that he is becoming. Taking a deep breath as he allows his ears to find sounds that he isn't use to and his eyes to scan the area. After all dangerous things lurk at night.

Kuro was listening into the night as he starts to move again. He is a bit of the type that would rather be safe then sorry so once he believes it is safe then he starts to get going once more to his journey because everyone needs to spice up their life a bit. Kuro is going on this adventure to find himself and maybe learn something that he doesn't yet know about himself. There could be something that even he, himself isn't sure of yet that will become clear to him. It could be good for him and maybe even his family of his mate and two daughters.

He wishes to become a better him and to do this he needs to find himself on this spirit finding trip of his. And traveling at night is because it is summer time and his coat is black so the sun beating down on him feels like hell to the point that laying in a lake or river is his only saving grace from the sun in the season of summer. He can deal with spring time but summer is what kills him so in the summer time he avoids being out in the sun too long and stays to the shaded areas or to traveling at night. He hopes to become stronger from this. Maybe make new friends on his travels. But night was dangerous in it's own way. Mainly because things like skinwalkers and killers traveled at night more then the day time.

Kuro looking about as he is still getting use to seeing in the dark and it is not as easy to see when the darkness covers everything then when it is light outside. So even if he does this from time to time in the past he goes a few seasons in-between the times he travels at night so his eyes need a few days to get use to doing this again. His eyes aren't so use to it right now so it is harder for him to make out small things but he can make out trees and other big things. If they are moving things he worries that they are skinwalkers or something like that so he has to be careful. If he isn't then a big moving figure might be the end of his life.

So walking slowly as he is getting use to the night time again. He had to admit that the night was sure pretty not as much as his mate. But close. He keeps his ears open and eyes scanning the area. Because he has to be able to return to his mate and daughters. Sighing as he is getting a bit home sick.

What was so sweet about traveling at night? Kuro thought to himself. Oh maybe it was that the hot sun wasn't beating him down. The night sure was cooler and nicer to travel in with how dark his coat was. Now where to look? He was looking for something after all. Just what it was? Well that was something even he himself wasn't so sure of. Just out soul searching and that was hard enough. Soul searching sounded like it would be so much fun but Kuro is thinking against it now with how he is starting to miss his mate and daughters.

She is his life after all and there is a great pain in being away from her. Now his daughters are the joy to his life so he is hoping for grand kids sooner then later but wants his daughters to be happy above anything else. Oh but the thought of getting his soul searching done and returning to his lover and maybe trying for another round of kids himself. Oh that thought put him at ease as he believes that this searching for his soul and who he is was the best thing to do. It was a great thing to do. To find himself and then maybe he would be able to give more to his mate.

Being more just for her. That is the main reason behind all of this. To be better for his mate. He would do anything just for her. Nothing would stop him from doing whatever it is to make her happy so this is how he ended up where he is now.

Slowly leaning his head back looking up at the stars he realizes something. This is who he is. His soul is his mate's and there isn't a force strong enough in this world to break that. Maybe he didn't need to soul search after all. He lives and breathes for his mate and that will never change no matter. He was devoted to his lover. What would become of him without her was a painful question so he had found just what he was looking for and after coming this far. Smirking as he walks on to find his mate the perfect treat for when he returns to her soon. Maybe a rare treat that is found only in the area that he is in right now.

Oh yes that was it. So now he is on the look out for something only found in this area just for his lover. Something sweet just like her. Oh wouldn't she be happy with something he picked just for her. With only her in his mind. Maybe some flowers as well he thought.

There are rare flowers in this area that he is in at the moment. But what was needed now is to find those flowers. Which is going to have to wait until the morning after all there is no way he is going to be able to find them in the dark of night. So he lays his head down and closes his eyes as it is time to sleep. Once day light comes he will wake then it will be time to find those rare flowers for his mate. Because there is nothing he would not do to get his mate things that are as beautiful and rare as she is to him. Smiling as he drifts to sleep dreaming of Amu his sweet mate until the raise of the sun.

Once the sun started to come up over the mountains was when Kuro-Yume started to wake from his dream land state of mind and yawns. Slowly getting up off of the ground as he starts to stretch out one leg at a time then his back and neck. Shaking all the dirt and dust off of him. Yawning once again as he starts to walk about looking about as he is scanning the area with his eyes from flowers in which he has never seen before. Seeing rare flowers would be things that he himself has never seen before. Then out of the corner of his eyes he finds one. A very pretty pink flower. So bright in the color that it would blind him if he stared at it for too long with the sun shinning down on it the way it was. This was the one. Pink just like his mate.

Hmm but now he needed to figure out a way in order to get the flower back to his mate in a way that the flower doesn't wither away before she could see it. So once he gets to the flower he lays down by it while he stares at the pretty pink flower. It was something he had never seen before. The flower almost glittered and had a glow to it. So pretty. He must get it to his mate. She would love this wondrous flower there is no way one could not. But how he is going to move it from this area to where his mate is waiting for him. After all it is a few days of travel in order to return home. Sighing as he keeps staring at the flower hoping that it would speak to him in one way or another. But nothing so far. Another sigh escapes him.

Now was not the time to just lay there and sigh. He needed a plan. So up he went to his feet as he starts to look about and sees an old pot left behind from one of the two legged creatures called Humans. That would work. So he goes over and gently picks it up in his mouth and walks back to where the flower was. Setting the pot down softly so that it wouldn't break. Then carefully hooves at the ground around the flower in order to dig it up. He plans to put it in the pot so that it will live the whole way home. So he needs the roots. Once this is done he will need to think about how to carry the pot back home. For now one thing at a time.

Thinking about it as his familiar Kai helps put the potted flower onto Kuro-Yume's back as he places his wings up to hold the pot in place so that it will not fall at all. This might he tiring to his wings but his mate is worth it. This flower is something that he will get to her. As he starts back on his way home. Looking at his familiar. "Thank you friend. I could not have done this with out your help." He points out as he takes it nice and slow so that the pot on his back will not shift. Seeing if it shifts then it might fall. And that is something that he does not want to happen. After all he has gone through the trouble of finding a pot and then replant the flower into it. This flower is for his mate so he has to move with ease to get it to her.

Looking up at the sky he knows that taking breaks in traveling is important but he is not sure how to do that with out breaking the pot. Sighing a bit as he continues on his way home keeping a nice slow pace so not nothing goes wrong and with his luck things falling apart happens too much. Kuro-Yume flicks his tail a bit to keep some of the bug away from him as he continues to walk at a steady pace. Placing his hooves gently onto the ground below him as he takes a deep breath. Nice and easy he repeats to himself in his head as he looks before him and knows that the journey home is one that will be long as well as hard seeing he has to keep his wings just right so that the pot stays in place on his back.

Kuro yawns a bit as he has traveled just long enough that his legs are starting to sting from getting sore. Sighing as he doesn't want to stop and take a break but knowing that his body is screaming at him that it is much needed he has no choice but to cave in and rest. With that all worked out in his most inner thoughts he comes to a stop. Slowing bending his front legs under him as well as his rear ones. He crashes to the ground slowly and more gently then he ever thought could be done. Relief that the pot on his back is safe and sound he lays his head down to rest closing his eyes. While his familiar Kai that was resting on his back in now taking watch to make sure no dangers come this way.

[Kara Asumie]

After awhile resting under a big tree. Kuro finally awakens. Allowing his eyes to scan the area as he slowly lifts himself to be hooves. Stretching out his wings slowly and then swiftly brings them back to his sides to protect the potted plant that is resting on his backside. Looking back at Kai he smiles. "It is time we get back to traveling. Rest on my back. For I will need your eyes again." He states as Kai lands on Kuro's back and falls asleep. With that Kuro then starts to move again heading home. It should not be too much longer of a trip. By night fall is when he should be home to his beautiful mate. It will be nice to see her again seeing he has not been there for a few months.
