”Ah, ******** it.”

Dom quickly let out one last huff and rapped on the door, loud enough to be heard but not quite so loud that he was banging. And then, of course, he waited. He was actually expecting her to take a while, maybe even peep through the hole or something and tell him to get lost without even bothering to open the door. What he was not expecting, though, was for her to actually open her door.

Which was stupid, since he knocked and all, but that didn’t make him any less nervous.

He blinked at her, she blinked back, and they kind of just blinked and looked at each other for another half a second before Dominic lifted the hand that had the bag of food.

”Uh...I come bearing gifts?”
