Kari wasn't buying it. This portal looked too good to be true, and the music that could be heard from it made her feel uneasy in a way that she couldn't quite put her finger on. She'd been there for nearly half an hour, watching various creeple travel in and out of the portal, some with looks of satisfaction while others wore looks of disgust. One thing was sure: whatever was on the other side wasn't as pleasant as the gently floating portal made it out to be.
Deciding to finally stop spectating, Kari strode over to the portal as it lazily floated towards her. She was able to slip through with ease, only to fall onto her butt upon exiting the portal in her effort to duck as something white flew over her head. Another followed soon after, prompting the ghoul to use her staff to whack the projectile away.
Looking down at the offending object, she grimaced at the sight of a motionless bird... a dove, if she recalled correctly. Out of the corner of her eye, another dove came flying towards her. As she dodged out of the way, she took in her surroundings: a wide doorless room with a single large bullseye.
"Oh... I really don't have to... ugh", Kari groaned, picking up the bird while taking no joy in its limp, boneless form. Did she seriously have to lob these at the target?
