In what might be considered awkward, or even stalkerish behavior to some, Mathias had taken it upon himself, to track down one of former prisoners they had captured, out of curiosity of her well being as well as seeing how badly he had damaged her ability to serve the mission in his... attempts to garner information from her. No, he had not ulterior motives about seeing the side effects of a conversion - no, none at all... Not like there was someone he was hoping to convert... Never. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he knocked smartly at what he had gathered -not that it had been hard for the Spec. Ops. agent to find out- the girls' place of residence. He really hoped she was home, or this was going to be a long wait.

Elle was at work, and even if Desdemona wasn't at a hundred percent, she was still more than capable of looking after herself for a few hours. She was sitting on the couch, idly flipping through channels, when she heard a knock at the door.
A brief surge of panic rushed through her, although she couldn't exactly place why. Some places, some situations, still managed to put her on edge for reasons she couldn't put her finger on - probably the traces of her experience in the Order, she had reasoned. It wasn't like she couldn't remember anything, it was just... complicated.
Desdemona got up to go answer the door, but hesitated. It was probably someone here for Elle; she didn't know many people yet, and certainly no one ho wouldn't call first. So it would probably be better just to wait for Elle to get home. She didn't exactly want to step on any toes or anything, especially since she liked Elle so much.
On the other hand, that was silly. How could she tell Elle who she'd missed if she didn't bother to ask? She shook her head and made her way towards the door. With a click of the lock, the door opened, and Desdemona peered around the frame with a slight smile.
A boy. Sort of cute, she guessed. "Uh, hello; sorry, but Elle's not home right now."

"Well, its a good thing I'm not looking for Elle then," Mathias said with a nod, but made a mental note that he would need to make this Elle's acquaintance before long if she was going to be this senshi's handler. Or even if she wasn't and this was just the place she was going to stay. In any event. "I'm actually looking for Desdemona... That would be you I presume?" He was trying to sound at least halfway civil. But he was looking her over to see if her wounds matched those of the senshi he'd interrogated. She wasn't a bad looking kid - but she was a bit young for him. But it probably had more to do with the fact that pretty much all of his libido was locked up elsewhere gnawing at a bone it couldn't quite reach. "If you are she, I'd like to talk to you... about..." He coughed. "Your night-time job."

"Oh." Desdemona's expression changed, curiosity taking the place of uncertainty as she inched the door open a little further. "Yes, I'm Desdemona, I - come on in." It didn't take much to put two and two together; he wasn't the first Negaverse officer to come to her, but he was the first to come without warning. Elle hadn't mentioned anything about him.
Speaking of Elle, "Just take off your shoes at the door please, okay?" She didn't think he was dirty or anything, but the less risk to Elle's clean floors, the better. "Do you want tea or something?" she offered a little lamely. She'd learned where things were kept by this point, and it seemed rude not to try and offer him something.

Mathias was loathe to take his shoes off, but if she was going to get insistent, he wasn't going to make this rougher than it already was. So he stopped once he entered and slipped off his boots - it took him a little bit as he looked up when she asked if he wanted any tea. "Yeah, sure, whatever is easiest for you." He was trying to limit any potential stress on her. Once his boots were off he followed her wherever she was leading him. "Sorry to drop by unannounced, I have... personal reasons to visit - this isn't really business per say."

Personal? Desdemona glanced back over her shoulder with a quizzical furrowing of her brows as she pursed her lips. But she turned back ahead again as she led him further into the apartment, hoping Elle'e poor cat wouldn't be too mad that she'd dragged an intruder in.
"Here, you can sit here, " she coaxed as she gestured to a couch before fluttering off into the kitchen area. She filled the kettle quickly with water, worrying her lip between her teeth as she wondered what kind of 'personal' thing this man could have come to ask about. There was no way he'd been a friend - or had he? Maybe he was. It wasn't like she would know the difference, right? - but she sort of hoped not. She didn't really want to invite any Order supporters into her circle by accident. Not like she doubted him, just - god, would could it be then?
Desdemona took a long, deep breath to get her composure together before she slipped back into the room, plopping down unceremoniously onto the couch beside him. "So, what did you want to talk about? - what's your name anyway?"

"Mathias, Mathias White - but you can call me Leucite..." Mathias said with a nod, watching her for a moment before he bowed his head. "How's the arm?" He asked gently - he had no malice for her now that she was one of them. That was all he wanted - for all of these poor misguided senshi and knights to realize that it was best for them to convert. "Also, what can you remember... of your life before now?" He was hoping SOMETHING was intact - even if it might result in her desiring him to exit the premises.

Leucite. The sound of his name pricked at the back of her mind like a tiny jolt of static - not enough to hurt, but enough to take her by surprise, make her more aware than she'd been before. If she'd been any closer to him, she might have recoiled; as it was she managed to keep her composure, and she was left more confused by his visit than ever. "It's okay, " and she didn't want to give this away as she spoke, laughing as she poked idly at the cast on her wrist. "Itchy. Annoying. - I really want to get onto active duty, but I'm supposed to rest until I'm all healed up." If you asked her, she'd love to beam some hapless senshi in the face with this thing, but... Memory. There had been a lot of questions about her memory. Sometimes it was vaguely annoying, but more often Des welcomed it. Gave people an excuse to talk to her. Curiosity aroused interest, and she liked being interesting. "Not much, " she said with a casual shrug of her shoulders. "It's sort of complicated. I know basic things, like about the city and things I liked, but as far as personal memories? Mostly flashes, bits and pieces - nothing I can make much of - " She glanced at him, catching his eye as she asked in the most casual tone she could muster, "Did you know me? - were you anything to me?"

"And if I was?" Mathias asked gently, he wasn't about to humor that thought for very long though, it would be cruel to her. One, for when the truth finally came out, and two, for when she came to realize he had been... well less than kind to her in the past. He raised a hand before she could respond to his initial question however. "I wasn't - at least - not anything personal. I was... one of the officers assigned to watch over you before your transition - in the hope you would furnish us with a bit more information about your friends." He decided he'd omit the fact that he'd caused her arm - she sounded disappointed enough already. "I am glad to hear you're ready to get back on duty. I'll have to give you my number so you can get in touch with me when you're set to rights - we can do a patrol."

Leucite. The name still nagged at the back of her mind, one of those infuriating itches you couldn't quite scratch. She had an answer ready for his question, a spark in her eyes that had never been there was an order senshi - except maybe once, when she'd snapped and shouted at him - but his answer seemed to satiate her, if only just for now.
One of those who had been supposed to look over her - a bad taste seeped into her mouth, although she couldn't place why. Desdemona shifted a bit uncomfortably in her seat, although it could have been for a plethora of reasons. "I'm sorry if I didn't offer you any information then. I wish I had something more to offer you now, " she spat bitterly, and that same spark was in her eyes now, darker than before as she bit at her lip. "I wish I remembered. I... I'll make up for it, though. I will."
She hadn't dwelled on it much; her life was focused on rebuilding now, finding happiness, starting her new life. That didn't mean for a moment that vengeance was off the table. It was all just a matter of time. When she sat down and thought about it, really thought about what they'd put her through --
Disturbingly quickly, the flash of darkness was gone, and her smile had returned as though she were the same untroubled teen she had always been. "Oh, really? That would be fantastic! Oh, do you think when you're better, I mean - if you're up for it, I mean - do you think you could help me train? Or spar or something, you know." She raised her bandaged wrist with a wry laugh. "I heard I was sorta useless before - gotta get on that. Everyone's been too good to me for me to waste this chance."

If anything, Mathias seemed pleased that his words were causing some level of response in her. Even if he wasn't sure what they were caused by or what her actual emotions were. Reaching out, he patted her cheek for a moment, before shaking his head. "Don't worry about it - you've seen the light now and that alone atones you of any sin you may have committed prior. I am not sure if you're the religious type, but if you'd like I'd be more than happy to baptize you in your new role." Mathias had found some solace in his religion as of late - granted, with a few modifications given the nature of his duty. But then he wouldn't be the first catholic to change doctrine to suit a whim... Nor the last. "I'd be more than happy to help you train, I actually spend a lot of time training to fight in my off-time so once you're mended I'll be more than happy to how you how to properly dispatch our foes." Mathias was more than willing to give the corrupted equal standing with officers - they had seen the light - they were one of the flock now.

The way he touched her cheek, the way he smiled - it was so achingly familiar, so - what was it? It wasn't like he hadn't confirmed that she'd known him. But it just felt like she was so close to something, and it was getting frustrating - and her lack of memories hadn't ever really frustrated her until now, which made it even worse.
Her smile didn't waver. "I don't know if I was or not, " she said truthfully with a slight shrug of her shoulders. "But I'd like that - I think - anything to be better than what I was before." Not that she knew, not beyond the vaguest recollection and stories. Still, what she knew of White Moon Amphitrite, she hated. She was glad to leave that side of herself dead in the seat of that chair.
"Good, " she sighed in relief, relaxing against the back of the couch; because whatever her thing with this guy was, he was a resource. One among many that had become available to her since she'd converted, so to speak.
Come to think of it...
"Why do we call it corruption, Mathias?" She furrowed her brow as she looked at him again, pursing her lips in thought. "What Laurelite does to my kind, I mean. I've been thinking about it since... I guess I've had a lot of time to think the last few days, " and she paused to laugh, shaking her head. "What we're doing, what we are, it's better, right? - so why do we call it that? Who came up with that? It sounds so much worse than what it is."

"Once you're up to snuff, if you're still sure about the baptism... I know a place. I'll give you my number so you can get in contact with me and we can set a time to meet up." He smiled and pulled out his phone just so he wouldn't forget, placing it on his knee absently as he watched her. "I don't know if you have a cell phone or not - but you can always get in touch with me over a land-land if need be." When she asked her question he grinned and leaned back a bit, tapping his chin. "I have had... similar thoughts, I think though - that it is an order side thing, that the senshi came up with to try and dissuade those with weak hearts from taking the righteous path of defending the earth. Unfortunately - perhaps - it has stuck, and is used by all." He motioned vaguely with his hands. "Because truth be told I feel no worse for having been 'corrupted' and to be perfectly frank, I love the power it gives me." He watched her for a moment. "Because it allows me to protect this world and all I hold dear."

She wondered for the first time whether he meant by training or a literal baptism - she hoped it was the former. Desdemona flashed him another smile before she went off in search of a pad and paper. "I don't have a cellphone yet, " she called back by way of explanation, "But I can always just call from Elle's phone, here - "
She passed along the pad and paper, carefully. As for the name - "I agree. When I was... corrupted, I guess, " she shrugged her shoulders in a noncommittal way. "I didn't feel dirty or wrong or any of the other things you'd expect to come with that. I just remember feeling relieved, like... I guess like a weight was lifted from my shoulders, " that was the closest she could come, "And that's not a strong enough way to put it, but - "
The kettle's abrasive whistle was enough to pierce whatever thought she was brewing. "Oh, the water, " she gasped; she'd almost forgotten all about it. She tried to ignore the subconscious wave of relief that surged over her as she hopped up from the couch and darted into the kitchen. "Sorry - do you do milk or sugar?" she called, and the whistling stopped abruptly as she whipped it from the stove.

As she ran off to take care of the tea, he chuckled a little under his breath and started to write down his phone number. "Oh, yes, both please." The only thing he drank plain was coffee but that was more out of habit than anything else. He didn't mind milk and sugar in his tea - not that he drank it very often. He wondered for a moment though - if she did regain her memories, how it would affect this new... budding relationship they had. Probably poorly. But he was saddened by the fact she had lost what seemed to be all of her mind. Oh well, maybe it was different for different people?
