Naita hummed to herself as she dragged her kill towards the open, salted smell of the ocean. It was hard work to drag it that far, sure, but she wasn't eating this kill alone in the middle of a dragon-infested forest where she would have to keep looking over her wing every couple of seconds to make sure she wasn't going to be a dragon's appetizer.
No, no. The beach would give her a head start on any dragon that would try sneaking up, and a way out over the open ocean if she had to. She just had to get there first, before the dragons noticed and ambushed her on her way.
She heard a crack in the trees and hissed, dropping her kill to scan the trees, catching a glimmer of green hide. “Come out, come out, wherever ye are!” she snarled, her breath heating the air into steam. She glared into the trees, ready to flame anything that moved.
Nothing. She squinted and could see, now, that it was just a broad leaf, shimmering in the sunlight. “Stars and tides.” she cursed scornfully, “Just me imagination. Playin' tricks.” she picked up the carcass and continued to drag it.
Of course the dragons wouldn't make a damn sound. They were dragons, of plant and growth. They could sneak right up on her and pounce her, silent as the grave, if they wanted to. That was why she had to get out of their lands. Fast.
She set claws on sand and grass, and relaxed a fraction, tugging the prey along behind her. There: her sanctuary was near, her place of water and sand and freedom away from these wretched woods. Just a few more precious meters, and she would be there...

Not too terribly far into the forest, curled up under a fruit bearing tree, was a Firani Khehora named Braith. He'd been hanging out in Serenia for a while now, with only the occasional adventure drawing him elsewhere. Not because he wanted to go per say but because the one that wanted him to go along was rather attractive. He was a very lazy sort of guy, the sort that would happily spend a day napping, but the moment someone good looking was involved he tended to be a little bit more motivated. Not monumentally more so but still, he was far more motivated. Given that, for the moment it was just him, he was doing what he did best and that was sleeping.
His dreams were nice enough, the sort that had been mostly about a rather attractive Khehorian woman he'd recently met, one who actually got him up and at em. It was a good dream, though oddly it seemed to change after a time, turning into a dream more about him having a tasty feast that involved some sort of unnamed, but deliciously bloody meat. Braith gave a happy rumbling sound, his thick tail wagging a little bit even as he continued to sleep. He couldn't have known that the reason for the change in dreams was due to the scent of blood on the wind, that which came from the kill that a nearby Khehora was carrying. All he knew for certain was that his dreams had gone from one thing he liked to another thing he liked, which was alright with him.
The problem being that he wasn't the only one that had caught the scent of the fresh meat and the others who had were far more eager. A group of Ysali that shared the forest that Naita was heading toward were stirring, their attention drawn to the scent of food. It was them moving along, toward where Naita was, that finally woke Braith from his slumber. The Firani lifted one clawed forefoot to smother a great big yawn before looking around through bleary eyes, "Eh? Eh?" What was going on? Where was the pretty Khehorian woman? Where was the food? His mind whirled for a moment before he realized both things were a dream, at least he'd thought that they were... maybe not though, he could still smell the food? The question then became was it worth actually getting up for it. How far off was it? What had killed it? Were there any scavengers on the way toward the meat that weren't Braith? Dd he really want to have to fight with either the predator or the scavengers when he could just shake the tree he was under for fruit? So many difficult questions he thought to himself as he sat up, giving another yawn.
"Alright, I suppose I can see what's up at least." He murmured to himself, just as a group of Ysali went tromping by him, something that made him go stock still, especially when one of them turned his direction and gave a rumbling snarl, "Woah, calm down, I don't want a fight." He said, lifting his forefeet, waving them in a defensive manner... but it didn't seem to impress the creature at all as it, and its friends, gave pause in their pursuit of meat to face off against the one invading their forest. It was something that had Braith sighing, "I miss my good dreams already." He muttered to himself before pushing up to his feet, drawing in a deep breath, before he released a blast of fire in the direction of the dragons, hoping to scare them off... or at least startle them enough that he might be able to retreat.

Naita heard a snarl, a voice, and a whoosh of flame. The snarl was exactly what she had been expecting and hoping not to hear – a nasty sound straight from a dragon's gullet. The voice was not unexpected in this Magescian-infested land, and she paid it no heed – the snarl was more important. But the whoosh of flame was unusual. There being no volcanoes nearby, that meant magic – Firani magic, her own element. Hopeful that she could do it, she dragged her kill closer to the beach. It was then that she saw the source of the sounds – the Ysali were there, at the very edge of the coastal forest. Some paced towards her, their mouths dripping with thick saliva. Others attacked a... Ooo, was that a khehorian? Naita dropped her kill to face the dragons, calling a greeting at the khehorian. The dragons were after her meat? Or her? Well! Though she had been hoping to avoid them, Naita would put up a fight. She roared, summoning a scorching gout of fire from her mouth to sear the dragons' skin, and charging in to rake her claws through their flesh. Her barbed tail stung into the dragons and, through her efforts, she managed to bring down one of the dragons and, with a series of blows from her heavy claws, kill it. She turned on its friend, stopping its vengeance short with a well-timed bite to the neck and a point-blank fireball. She could hear its boiling blood as it screamed and fell, and she finished it off with a nice claw puncture to its chest and the artery in its wing. She was panting hard, her wounds bleeding with a dulled pain as she turned to see how her fellow was doing. “Hey!” she called, surprised. He was not doing well at all, at least not as well as she would have expected out of a khehorian. “Are ye all right, matey?” (622/1200)

DraconicFeline (( Sorry about so late a post, I missed your reply somehow. @_@;; We can probably wrap this pretty quickly though. <3 )) Turning his attention from the dragons that he'd been preparing to flee from Braith found himself glancing in the direction of a Khehora. He blinked a couple times, his tail swishing, and then went a bit wide eyed when he realized that she was a Firani just like him. Well now, it would appear as though his desire to run from the battle, something he was actually pretty good at, wouldn't fly today. He couldn't very well look like a coward in front of a pretty female after all. It wasn't so much cowardice after all as much as it was laziness, Braith didn't like to fight because fighting interrupted his down time, making it so that he wasn't able to laze about in the manner that he preferred. Things would need to change, for the time being at least, so as not to look like a total failure in front of this lovely lady.
He watched, in wide eyed amazement, as she took out one of the dragons in a rather brutal, blood, and awe inspiring manner. It was enough to cause him to give a bit of a whistle, "Wow, that was pretty impressive, my beautiful savior." He said, clapping his clawed hands together in delight. Despite how well she'd taken out the dragon though it wasn't as though they were out of the woods yet, figuratively and literally, since there were more then just the one. Not to mention that the pretty lady had gotten injured because she felt the urge to help him.
Guess that means I will need to be a man he thought to himself as he drew in a deep breath, filling his lungs to capacity, before he let out a massive burst of flame that engulfed the next Ysali dumb enough to go toward the female. Lifting a hand to wipe his mouth he gave a laugh, "Phew! Been a while since I've done that." He said, watching the Ysali crumbled away before hurrying over to the female Firani during the lull, "You alright? You're bleeding." He said, looking the wound over in a concerned manner. Hopefully the wound wasn't a bad one and she would be able to recover from it he thought to himself as he inspected it.
"We should definitely see to it that your wound is tended to... though we will need to deal with the other dragons. I think that there are two remaining from the group that decided that they wanted to eat me." He blamed the fact that he had a nice, fat tail, one that likely looked quite delicious to passing dragons. There was a part of him, a very minor part, that said if he weren't so thick in the tail that maybe they wouldn't be after him all the time. No matter, not as though he meant to work out any time soon, thank you very much. Eyes flicking from side to side Braith said to searching for the two remaining Ysali that he could hear approaching them at top speed.

“Heh!” She guessed he was, if he was flirting like that. What better time to flirt, than when one was fighting dragons? She could only think of one other, and that was over food. Well, if they got out of this, then that could easily come next. She puffed a ring of smoke at him flirtaciously, “Oh, me day's just starting.” she purred, advancing towards him and the other dragons, laughing at the burst of flame in delight, “I'm fine, matey” she said, biting at one of the dragons and tearing out a chunk of it's flesh, “Working up an appetite for that there ghargon – gonna enjoy it all the more once all these dragons are done for.” She gestured to the with a bob of her head before laying into the dragon with all the bloody might of a pirate-dragon enraged. “Yer welcome to join me after.” she said, killing the dragon and winking at Braith, “Now, thats one more after yer luscious tail.” she quipped, looking him over. Khehorian, well formed, very nice looking. That aside, it would be nice to have dinner with someone for a change. Lunch. Breakfast. Whatever it was. “Now, where's that last little pile o' pond scum?” she asked rhetorically, scanning the leaf cover for the telltale shape of a dragon... (843/1200)

Braith gave a pleased sort of rumbling sound in his throat, glad to hear that the female was alright. He supposed that she looked tough so it was likely that a little scratch from some weak Ysali wouldn't do too much damage to her. Either way though he was still happy to see that she was alright nevertheless. The rumbling sound he made turned into a full on purr when she mentioned the food that she'd caught, food that it seemed she was willing to share with him once the dragons had been finished off, "Not only beautiful but willing to share as well, I have been saved by someone special I can tell." He said, his tail wagging behind him in a delighted manner.
Nothing better then a gift of food in Braith's eyes, in fact there was little else in the world that was a better way to win him over. That and he had to admit her calling his tail 'luscious' also helped to win him over to her side. Giving a happy smile he turned to look around, curious where the last dragon was as well. There was one more left to go, one more dragon that stood between them and food, meaning that they had to deal with quickly. The sooner the better he though to himself as he looked from side to side, tail wagging, sniffing at the air.
A bit of flame appeared in his mouth as he caught the scent of the dragon spitting a ball of fire toward some of the rustling brush, sending the dragon running from the brush and into Naita's view. Giving a grin he said, "If you'd like to do the honors, my lady?"

Naita would have responded, but she was already pouncing maliciously towards the Ysali, her claws pinning it as she tore into it viciously. Sure, it inflicted a few nasty marks on her, possibly even poisoned her a little, and she certainly would regret it later, she was sure. But Naita was not to be deterred in a little violent fun, and she may have taken just a wee bit little longer than she needed to, and soon enough the dragon was dead, transforming from a bloody, ragged mess into neat ashes and a glittering dragon soul. Naita offered it to Braith mischeviously. “Don't mind if I do.” she said, her bright eyes glittering, “Now, shall we get to proper eating?” Though... she needed a wash first. Not that she was ashamed of her enjoyment of water, but somehow it seemed... weird... to take a brief swim around another Firani. Rude, almost. Besides, she was too hungry now to bother with silly things like sanitation. (1007/1200)

There was just something that was far too attractive about an aggressive woman that was willing to take what she wanted from the world Braith thought to himself, his thick tail giving a bit of a wag behind him. It really was a sight, watching her as she finished off the Ysali without any sort of mercy and a whole lot of blood. It was impressive to the point that he lifted his hands up to clap for her, giving a little grin, "Very nice! I am most impressed by your skills, dear lady. The way you took that one down, a show worth watching again and again." "Hm? Yeah, I think that a proper meal would be more then welcome." He said, moving to take the orb that she offered to him, looking it over, before checking his reflection in its surface. He was looking pretty good, here was hoping that his looks might better win over the pretty female he thoguht to himself before he moved to follow along after her. A free meal and beautiful company, there was nothing else he could really ask for.

“Thank ye kindly!” Naita purred, grinning at his flirtation and, maybe, prancing just a little as he clapped. She was not adverse, certainly, to showing off and it was so rare to have an audience – or anyone – to share her awesome self with. Washing, it seemed, would have to wait. Meals, however, could not wait. “Then lets dive right in, aye?!” she laughed, before moving the carcass to a spot where two khehora could feed from it reasonably. There was, honestly, no reason not to share – after all, it had been a big catch, and Naita kind of did want him to stay. Yes... Stay. His company was a warmth that her life so often lacked. She sat almost elegantly near the dead beast, tail curled half around the carcass invigintly, “Do ye live here, mate?” she asked, taking the first bite of ghargon. Mmm... delicious. and she may have been looking at his muscular, thick khehorian body as she thought it... (1173/1200)

Braith gave a nod of his head, "I am never one to say no to a good meal." In fact that was one of his most favorite things out there. Walking over to the beast that Naita had taken down he waited for her to take the first bites before he took some for himself. It was only right that she, as the huntress got first go. As he took a bite out of the savory meat Braith couldn't help but to give a bit of a purring sound. It was quite tasty, making him think that he aught to try to catch such creatures more often. He might be a lazy guy but good food was ever a motivator for him. "Live here? Naw, I am a bit of a wanderer. I like to find places to spend time where the weather is good, the threat of attack is low, and the women are lovely." A shame that he'd guessed wrong when it came to a place to snooze since he had sort of been attacked by Ysali dragons. He'd have to do better when it came to his next napping spot Braith thought to himself. Shrugging that off he said, "How about you? Do you call Serenia home? Or are you traveling as well?" It was always good to know what attractive ladies lived where after all. Especially when it came to those who were both skilled at hunting and the battling of dragons, both of which Naita seemed to excel at.

Ah, a wanderer, eh? “Aye, about the same.” she said, “I go where th' wind takes me, and stay where... aye, where there's good food, weather, and company.” she winked at him over her bloodied muzzle. “I take 'em male or female, to be honest. I ain't picky... but ye're a sight fer sore eyes, I tell ye.” All right, now she was overtly flirting. “I gotta say, though, I like me a good fight, now an' then.” (1252/1200)

Braith seemed to puff up a bit, his tail swishing, a grin on his face, "Is that so? Well, I hope that I can be good at company for you, my lovely." He said, then gave a happy sort of purr when she said that she wasn't picky and that he was a 'sight for sore eyes'. As a compliment he'd definitely take it he decided. No reason not to enjoy all compliments even if they started with her not being picky. He couldn't say that he was all that picky himself, flirting with most everyone that he came across Khehora and two-legs alike. "I am glad that we found ourselves lucky enough to cross paths, especially since I might have gotten my thick tail handed to me if I'd slept over long and gotten eaten up if you didn't arrive to help stave them off. You have my thanks and eternal graditude for that." Giving a grin he asked, "So, my beautiful flower, what would you like to do next now that the fight and feast are over?"

Orpheus Solon I think... this is a good end post Aye, she would call herself lucky, that she would. She looked him over – lucky indeed. “Well, darlin'” she purred, circling around him slowly, her tail waving flirtaciously. He was definitely a hot morsel, that was for sure. “We can use our imaginations, can't we...” she moved closer, purring. It was going to be a fun night.
