2014-2015 Metaplot
The metaplot started when Ua, the daughter of one of the council members (Hu) was brutally attacked. She was found by a search party, but had no memory of the attack. All that was known was that a lion had been scented in the area when she was attacked.
She recovered, but was left with permanent scarring and a limp which would last her lifetime.
The pride similarly recovered: litters were born and the pride was calm...enough.
This changed when lions were once again scented near the area. Fearing the worst, Hu gathered a search party to find the lions. Defence Captain Arcus took his own group to search for the lions. Hu's group found them first. Two lions had encroached on the pridal lands, and were looking to fight. The lions attacked and the leopards defended. Chiyo and Ai, two adolescent offspring of Hu and Scheherazade; both councillors, were attacked very brutally.
A meeting was called to discuss the attack. Deker expressed discontent with the current ruling party. His concerns were echoed by members of the colony. Hu and Scheherazade stepped down, and Kyllikki (AstoriaFallen) and Dalmar (tani duh!) were demoted due to a lack of activity, and so that left Deker the last male standing.

Up until mid-late adolescence, both her parents were council members. However two lions attacked the colony, and some of her siblings were present during the battle. Both Ai (owned by me) and Chiyo (owned by Painted Moose) were injured. Chiyo injured her shoulder and Ai was hit in the face, and lost the sight in one eye.
Because of this event, Deker; another council member, called a meeting of the colony and both of Sacnite's parents stepped down from being council members out of shame. Hu was blamed for allowing the adolescence to be there, and for their injury, and Scheherazade simply couldn't forgive herself (or Hu) for the injuries.
During the meeting, Deker also accepted the resignation of the two other council members (both inactive OOCly and ICly), leaving him the only remaining council member. He is currently refusing to call a council election, leaving him the sole ruler of the colony. He has the support of some of the colony, and Hu is supporting him at the moment, believing it for the best to focus on the safety of the colony and protecting it from any future attacks. The colony has become more cautious and more reserved; anxious that they will be attacked again by the lions.
So Sacnite and her siblings will grow up from late-adolescence to adulthood with their parents having a strained relationship (Hu and Scheherazade are barely talking to each other after the colony meeting) but who will support their offspring in everything. Both will be more reserved and quiet though!
They will also grow up with Deker being the sole ruler of the colony, and his word is law from the colony meeting onwards.

and that is the summary of the meta thus far! There will be a proper summary once the RP is finished, and the next phase of the meta will begin in a few months~ but for now, yus, this.
