Lunear had thought the place he'd chosen to brood and grumble the night away was off the beaten path enough to where he'd not have to worry about any visitors, any one bothering to look for him, (not that anyone would given how perfectly well he'd pretty much chased everyone off), or any troll foolish enough to venture into a cave they'd never been to before.
But of course, nothing ever went how Lunear planned or envisioned it. His life was a series of instances of things going exactly the opposite manner and slowly he was having to come to grips with that.
The dull echo at the mouth of the cave told him early of potential seekers or wild lusii, but a voice told him that it was a fool seeking shelter most likely. Or seeking a daytime resting place. Even if dawn was hours off. Keeping to the back wall and as out of sight as possible, he hissed as menacing as he could hoping he sounded moderately threatening.
"Begone. I have no patience for dealing with another being at this hour. Much less for mundane reasons. Find your shelter elsewhere, this place is currently occupied."
He curled into himself, wanting to dim his glow, though the action only made it become more concentrated in where it was coming from.
