It had grown into well past noon as Nuri finally found herself padding out into the light, a dark form held gently in her mouth. She was going to head towards the closest oasis with her youngest, Naraka, and start to teach him how to walk as well as give him some nurioushment in the heat. Ra, who was back with his father, would be down later more or less as soon as Chomo decided to follow. Though not certin, she was smart enough to nuzzle him a goodbye and tell him of where she was to go, just incase.

Finally, after quite a long walk, Nuri made way onto the hard grounds to settled her cub down, head lowered a moment to catch him until he caught his balance. Pulling up soon after, she walked away and lapped at the cool waters, though the heat did keep them warm, they still were refresing enough. As she turned back to her small son, she smiled to him with that rare curve on her maw and purred for him to follow her over.

Catching himself once more, Naraka could only looked up towards his mother with wide, deep eyes. The dark colors on his pelt attracted the sun, and it left him with a slight pant coming from his maw. Though soon enough he would grow used to such heats, he hardly got out as a young born and now was the first time he was out for such a long time. Sniffing the air, he caught the smile of his mother and let out a soft mew, rushing over to her side as his paws slid on the hard surface that all but burned. Reaching where her paws stood, he turned away from her large form and looked at the water with twin perked ears, wondering just what she expected of him and not understanding her actions alone.

The sun hit the desert hard today, it made the female purr, especially after spending the day with Kavuasi.
She'd really grown fond of the light pelted male, much more fond then she'd grown of anything else and she was happy because of it.
Today she just lay on her rock, day dreaming of him before her dream's where interupted by the soft sound's of someone.

She lifted her head, bright golden eye's surprised to see a lioness...and a cub!?
My, so she'd been right, the pride would live long enough to see the next generation.
A soft smile lit her maw before she straightened up slightly and gently called out to the mother of such a strapping lad.

"Good day, pride sister."

It hadn't taken Kavu long to wake up and find Mpeka gone; he suspected she would be out in the area they had first met, and sure enough, there she was, perched on her rock. He started towards her at a loping run - however, as he noticed Nuri and Naraka, whom he had never seen before, he slowed to walking speed, not wanting to startle them. The sight of Mpeka made his heart flutter, but he swallowed to calm it.

"Good morning, folks!" He exclaimed as he got within hearing range, ears perked and tail flicking out perkily behind him. His eyes sparkled merrily.

Stilling her movements as soon as Naraka had made way to her paws, Nuri narrowed her emotionless eyes and let her smile fall, mask setting in once more.

"Naraka," She started slowly, leaning her head down an inch to catch him stilling just as she had, "Stay close." She would give him some water later, but for now, all she could do is turn her eyes darkly onto the one who had spoke first, the female who thought that it was just another sunny day and that it was safe to talk to strangers. Nuri for one, would prove that to be a grave mistake.

Stepping back as his mother moved foward, he paused his form between her hind legs. As his mother's tail wrapped around him, Naraka lowered his head to peer out at what had made such a sudden noise, and caught the sight of a female who looked like Nuri, but her pelt was much lighter. Sucking in a breath, his eyes narrowed just as his mother's had, showing the sure signs of the knowlage he had obtained from her. It was clear, even at his young age, that he would become just like his mother was, if not greater in ways on account of his male side.

Not responding at all to Mpeka, Nuri just glared emotionless at the other, keeping the gaze sharp and cold before she turned away in a clear sign of disrespect. There was no reason for Nuri to answer as she had been called too, so instead she focused herself upon the other, a male who also had his guard down as if he were in the peaceful lands of the pridelanders.

"What has this pride come to?" She hissed under her breath, tail tightening slightly in a protective shield around her son. Letting out a soft growl, she eyed Kavu and suddenly realized he was the one to send Kwana away. Turning her back to both of them, though her muscles were still tense in case they decided to attack, she nudged Naraka to the other side of the oasis. There would be no need to answer them unless they wanted to start something, and with Naraka there, she knew the maternal drive would make it easy to go in for a kill. No matter what, she would protect her son, for the future of the pride.

Teleka had been merely taking a walk when he had seen his sister and the bright red lion, brother of Kijinga. He had trotted voer to them looking somewhat clean and happy. He saw Nuri however and slowed down, what shocked him most was the cub she was with. He was tempted to make a snide comment but as she turned to go he just merely smiled and plodded over to his sister nuzzling her as he reached her. "Heya sis." He then bowed his head to the other, "Sorry I don't know your name." He then looked back to Nuri, "Forget about her, she just sour!" He chuckled and sat down beside his sister.

Mpeka was surprised at how the female reacted, ear's perking as she narrowed her own eye's calmly, but in a state of a 'what crawled up your a**' manner.
However, she couldn't half blame the lioness, she did have a cub and her mother was awfully protective of her and Teleka when she was younger.

But as Kavu's voice rang out through the air, her ear flicked towards him, only to make her calmly sit up and give a fond smile his way.

"Good morning to you also, Kavuasi." She said softly.

As the other lioness said something, she had to turn and look at her once more, ear's flattening back slightly before the approach of her brother made her give of a small, light hearted smirk.
However her word's did less then please her.

"Teleka!" She half-growled, a stern look on her face. "No matter what your first impressions of her might've been, she's still a member of the Blood and has a right to be respected...more so for having obviously given birth to the first of a next generation."

She said in a softer tone, motioning toward's the cub with her head while still seated on the rock.

Kavuasi winced as Nuri's response to his greeting met his ears, and instead of brushing past her as he had planned, he stepped far to the side to make his away around towards Mpeka. On his way, he noted the way which Nuri was protecting her cub, and decided it'd be best for him to keep from irritating her. Although he could handle himself in a fight, it'd be rather humiliating if he was beaten up in front of Mpeka. So, he smiled lightly at her after he had passed, making sure to keep his tail and head at a neutral height.

"'Pologies, ma'am... 'Twas only a greeting." He seated himself beside Mpeka's rock, flashing a grin at Teleka. He had only ever seen the other male once, at a distance, and that was when he had helped send Kwana away. By his fur, mane, and tail, he guessed him to be Mpeka's sibling.

"I'm Kavuasi, brother of Kimeti, and son of Kiu. You are Mpeka's brother, correct?"

Nuri felt her pelt still as soon as Teleka had walked up, and she let out a low hiss in his direction. It was clear that if he make one move towards her son, he would be attacked and would be shown no mercy, despite his 'friends' and 'protectors' around him. Teleka was not a lion Nuri felt she would wish to deal with, their meeting from the many months before suddenly fresh on her mind and sending bile up to her tongue. Just knowing that he was a firekin as well made her sick at the future. Though he thought he was one of the better of the pride, he was a rogue, just as she.

"I see the rogue still has yet to prove himself worthy of the pride." She responded to his comment, mind and face blank throughout her whole thought process. It was something she had learned through many months of being alone, the skill of showing nothing, and only one could break through her barriers. However, Chomo was not there, so only the three could figure from her voice was that it was ice cold and held little change in volume.

Moving through to his mother's forelegs, Naraka peered out at the other lion, the brother of the twins, and let out a hiss of his own. It sounded like air being released, but it still was some sort of disrespect, and he was not as wise to hide his feelings. However, he had no idea who the lions were around him, all he could tell was that his mother found no joy in their appearance, so neither would he.

Setting his cheek against the dark leg of Nuri, Naraka rubbed it lightly and caught her attention, blinking to her and whispering softly in a light voice.

"Momma...who are they? Why are they here?" His second question was of contempt, and he glanced back to the as he finished with, "Are they even of the blood?"

Nuri eyes all but filled with pride that he asked such questions, the fact that it showed he listened to their lessons enough for her to lift him up and settle him near the waters.

"Worry not, my little one, for now just drink." She murmered it lovingly, ignoring the siblings as Mpeka seemed to chide the male, and she caught his name at last. Finally getting the pelt with the name, she glanced back only to see Kavuasi shift away as he walked past, a slim brow raising with intrest. Her ears perked as she listened to him apoligize, before she rolled her eyes.

"Must you all be so weak with words?" It was the first response lacking hostility, and it was directed towards Kavuasi more than anyone else, "Had I not reconized your scent, I would have taken you for a common hunter." She blinked to him and settled on her haunches, far enough away to find her regal stance relaxed from their reach. Her form was perfect in every expected way of a Firekin, at least as she pictured it. It was another demand she had as a cub, and as she looked to the others, she found her son curling around in the shadow of her paws once more.

Teleka turned to his sister, "I wont respect her till she learns respect herself." He then turned to KKavu and bowed his head once his name had been announced. "Yes that I am, sister of Mpeka." He smiled and ignored any of Nuri's words. He cared not for her or that rat of a cub she held with her.

Mpeka this time decided to keep quiet, less something more offensive slipped her mouth by accident.
This female had a very silver tongued child and she seemed quite the same too.
All the same the lioness gave a small snort, not of retort but of relaxation.
She took the time to take more interest in Kavuasi.

Ever since the morning she'd been feeling a little nautious(sp?) and had gone out for some fresh air.
She'd been thinking of him ever since.
Talk about rubbing of on someone.

"Well, 'tis a pleasure meeting you, Teleka." Kavuasi grinned, then glanced up at Mpeka. He had heard Nuri, and was burning to send her on her way with a smart retort; however, it seemed she was less angry than before, and Kavu didn't wish to fire her up once more. So instead, he responded politely, ears perked and head tilted to one side.

"Weak? Madam, common courtesy is very different from weakness." Then, he chuckled. "And I do admit, I don't carry myself like my siblings do... But then again, I haven't been around to learn how, now have I?" Clearing his throat, he straightened himself up, letting his tail curl around his paws.

He glanced at Mpeka once more. He was eager to speak to her again, eager to make her laugh as she had the day before, but he suspected she might not take too kindly to it in front of her brother and this other lioness.

She nodded slowly, before she glanced towards Naraka as a sign for him to get the water as she had told him to earlier. Watching him slowly move towards the waters, she kept herself between him and the lions before she continued with her words, eyes still showing nothing.

"I have met both Kwana and Kimeti," She started with a slow, relaxed drawl, "Both gave concent for my family to join the pride, though it is only Kimeti I see after the..." trailing off, she showed a slight sign of searching as she tried to find the word, but instead just shruged.

"Kavuasi, correct?" She asked towards the prince, before glancing to the female, "And you must be Mpeka." She glanced between the two before suddenly asking, "Mates?"

While his mother was turned, Naraka found himself inching towards the sands away from the oasis. When he reached the warm soil, he found himself digging his small paws into the smooth silky substance, a slight chuckle raising from his lips as he missed the glance from his mother. Showing he would not move from there, he just settled with dragging his paws in the sands to make all sorts of designs of a cub's imagination.

Moving across the hot sands of the firekin desert, a three dimential shadow loped in the direction of the group of lions. Light blue eyes settled on each form, noting each one he had seen been part of the little quarrel between the royal blood of the pride. He scoffed lightly from behind, slowing his pace as he spotted his 'master' along with her new cub.

A small frown approached his maw as he tried to eavesdrop on the conversation from afar, but his hearing wasn't to good. Instead, he bowed his head, moving slowly over to Nuri and her son in an obediant manner. His words remained silent, listening only to the lions around him.

Chomo had said he would make his way down towards the oasis, and he kept his word -if only because Ra was adamant that he go wherever his brother got to and wouldn't stop biting Chomo's ear. He made his way at a casual amble, his large strides more than wide enough to keep Ra at a steady trot as he attempted to stay in his father's shadow, an interesting instinctual trait Chomo hadn't expected in him. Apparently Firekin were born with a few skills for desert survival. He was quite content for a time, the sands feeling familiar under his paws, the sparse winds blowing his mane, however, like many things, it wasn't destined to last and he grew more and more apprehensive, as, on arrival at the oasis, it became apparent that something was already going on, there were quite a few unfamiliar lions and lionesses there and he grew a tiny bit more defensive, slowing his pace near Ra.

It wasn't that he mistrusted the others, simply that he was a first time father and hesitant to place his sons in any kind of danger. He didn't expect a warm reception though, his bloodline, though equally valid in it's relation to Finar-si, was seperate from the royal line. He could call no lineage to the crown and that immediately made him feel common and cheap, something he had never experience. No one had even said a word to him but he felt somehow insignificant in their sight. He carefully picked his way around them, guiding Ra along with him until he came to Nuri and Naraka. He gave the preoccupied Naraka a brief affectionate lick before nudging Nuri briefly with his nose and letting out a gentle rumble of greeting. He didn't want to interrupt her conversation so, moving like a sort of dark shadow, he made his way down to the oasis to drink, noting as he did so that Ra had left his side, probably to go find his brother. He trusted Nuri would keep an eye on the two hellians.

Ra considered the journey down to the oasis tantamount to an adventure and he stalked, pounced and growled along in his father's looming shadow. He was so small compared to Chomo but was assured that someday he'd be that big. He couldn't wait, he'd show everyone when he was so big he could knock the stars from the sky. He let out short practice snarls as he dispatched imaginary enemies and cheered as if an invisible crowd encouraged him when he succeeded.

However, this game was soon pushed aside as the green oasis drew into veiw. He was goaded to new and interesting levels of excitement as he jogged along, red eyes wide. So many giant lions lurked there, ok all the shades of the - red - rainbow! He'd show them, he'd roar and snarl and wave his claws and they'd cheer him like the crowd in his head! He was sure of it and about to head over when his father veered away. This ruined his plans for now and he sulked briefly as he walked. There'd be time later, perhaps.

His next excitement was spotting his brother playing in the sand not too far away and he broke out of daddy's shadow and dashed over to Naraka. "Raaar!" he roared, all mock ferocity, and he promptly attempted to bowl his sibling over.

Teleka smiled at Kavu, "nice to meet you to." He stopped talking though as Nuri mentioned his sister being mated to Kavu. He had no problem with it if that were the truth but at the same time he was annoyed that he hadn't found out sooner.

He then saw the dark lion arrive and looked a little interested, another slave? He didn't care much for the male, he had Aleu and she was his slave, though he really needed to get that oked by Kimeti.

The words that left Nuris mouth seemed to fly over his head, he had no interest in the rude female but when he saw the male he had once met briefly when under Kwana he tilted his head slightly. They were mates? Now that was something interesting.

He watched the two cubs, keeping a hidden smile. He loved watching cubs, their playful vicious nature was delightful. He would have his own one day, once he and Kijinga were ready.
