Rules + How to Play

1. You can try 2 times a day, each time you try you get 5 ping pong balls
2. Roll 5d10. There are 5 different sized pots with different points assigned to each. (Points are counted by the amount of times you have tried. If you tried 2 times a day, you get whatever your first and second roll combined is, and if you only rolled once you get whatever that total amount is.) Over 5 points is a small prize, over 10 points is a small prize, over a 15 is a bigger prize, 19 points is two prizes and 20+ is a custom prize! (message me what plant or flower you'd like and I'll draw it!)
3. Seeds are given out to whoever participates!

Poeias eagerly approached the booth, taking care not to trip over his feet again, like he did leaving the hive. He really liked the theme of this booth, which as far as he could tell, seemed to be flowers! A farm boy himself, he appreciated the advertised seeds as well. Maybe there were some nice ones he could plant at home to please his lusus?

With a grin and absolutely no visibility, he grabbed the ping pong balls and chucked them at the vases. "Hey, hey, what kinda socks does a gardener wear, miss? Do you know?" he said with a grin. He loved this joke.

∞ Ephias Sagine

Wolly was estatic.

For perhaps the first time in his life, Ephias had made the decision to go to a social event completely of his own volition. And not just any social event. It was Bloodfest, one of the largest celebrations on Alternia. For the mild-mannered sheep it was a dream come true—no, a wish come true. For every shooting star that Ephias observed and noted, Wolly had made a wish. Never for anything much; just for his charge to be happy, successful, and to challenge himself. And now those wishes were coming true. Wolly always knew they would.

Unfortunately it looked like the redblood was losing some of his gumption. He had moved to the edges of the crowd looking pale and distressed. His hair, despite having been neatly brushed earlier that evening, was a mess. Wolly stepped forward to tidy it with his tongue.

“Wolly!” Ephias exclaimed. Wolly backed down. Oops. Too much.

Ephias rubbed at his eyes, sighing. Twenty minutes at the festival and already he was feeling done. He had hoped to find some of his friends at the event but that was looking to be unlikely. He wondered why he had even considered it a feasible idea in the first place. Bloodfest was jam-packed and he knew it would be. He had just hoped despite that.

“Maybe we should go back...” he mumbled, scratching the back of his thinkpan. He risked a glance over at Wolly. The sheep's expression was tragic. Ephias heaved another sigh. “All right. Or not. I just... need some space to breathe.”

Keeping to the fringes of the crowd, Ephias moved along the main way. He stopped when he saw a quaint booth, with only a few trolls gathered around it. It was a simple affair with no extra ornamentation aside from some banners that had been childishly drawn on. On the table in front there was an arrangement of various... pots. Off to the side there was a pile of seed packets and several rows of various plants.

He watched the two trolls in front of him play with rapt attention. It seemed like a relatively simple game; simple but challenging. When the vaguely familiar-looking tealblood finished, Ephias stepped forward to pick up five ping pong balls. Going back to the throwing line, he pitched a ball.

Somehow it landed in the tiny glass jar.

When he tried to replicate the toss he missed and it fell into the giant vase instead. Two of his other attempts made it in though. He was not quite sure how that happened. Weirdly, he felt embarrassed about doing so well. He had better hand eye coordination than he would have guessed. That or he was just lucky.

As he turned to claim his prize from the plant table, he caught a glimpse of the tealblood leaving. Wait a moment. Plants. Tealblood. Suddenly it registered.

“Er...!” He half reached towards her then faltered. “Um... Milieu?” Was he saying that right? He had only ever seen it written.

Leeroi grabbed all of the ping pong balls his tiny, grubby hands could hold. He leaned back, and threw them overhanded at the tiny pots. He was supposed to be knocking them over, right? To be fair, he didn't actually bother to read the rules. Whatever, this was the more fun way to play. Glitch stood beside him, bleating and pleading for him to behave. Leeroi grumbled and scowled at his charge before picking up another ping-pong ball and tossing it at one of her many eyes.

Turning his attention back to the prizes, Leeroi leaned on the booth to get a better look at the plants. Plants, tch, what a boring prize, he thought. Then he spotted one of the Venus Fly Traps and decided he just had to have one. He pointed excitedly at the plant. "That one, that one!" He said, leaning his arms out to grab the item as quickly as possible.

After slipping away from Forera's booth, this was the second one he found himself at and he grinned at the idea. Throwing the balls seemed like fun and he grabbed the five he was allotted, taking careful aim at what he could. For the most part he found himself lucky, managing to hit pots that seemed to be good for his score. One he got in wasn't as good, but he smiled anyways, having a good deal of fun in the end. Mentally he tallied up the score, realizing he managed to actually get something good! Thinking it over for a minute, he asked "Could I have a Lily of the Valley please?"
