Born to a matori woman with a father who’s name and face he will never know Hewque was raised by his mother Oveiean as a slave to a traveling merchant. Shortly before his mother was sold a rival slaver shared a drink with her previous capture and after a few rounds to many the pair ruined some of the value of what they were bartering with. As such Oveiean lost value and was sold off quickly. The man who bought her was rather taken with her beauty and was kind to her and her new son. Hewque doesn’t know much about the war because the only life he knows is that of helping the merchant travel. To him the difference is that his mother didn’t used to get paid, but now does and likes to buy him lots of sweets.

With the war over he gets to travel more too which is so amazing and exciting to him! He loves it and wants to see all of the world if only the cart would go faster!!
