#85 Dodrio - "An odd species that is rarely found. The three heads respectively represent joy, sadness, and anger. Apparently, the heads aren't the only parts of the body that Dodrio has three of; it has three sets of hearts and lungs as well, so it is capable of running long distances without rest at up to 40mph. It vigorously races across grassy plains even in arid seasons with little rainfall. Watch out if Dodrio's three heads are looking in three separate directions. It's a sure sign that it is on its guard."

#252 Treecko - "Treecko is cool, calm, and collected—it never panics under any situation. If a bigger foe were to glare at this Pokémon, it would glare right back without conceding an inch of ground. It has small hooks on the bottom of its feet that enable it to scale vertical walls. This Pokémon attacks by slamming foes with its thick tail. It makes its nest in a giant tree in the forest. It ferociously guards against anything nearing its territory. It is said to be the protector of the forest's trees. It senses humidity with its tail to predict the next day's weather."

#258 Mudkip - "A Mud Fish Pokémon. It has fins on its head and tail. The fin on its head acts like a radar dish to read its surroundings, and its tail fin increases its swimming speed. The gills on its cheeks allow it to move about in water. It's very strong for its size--it can even lift big boulders. It burrows into muddy watersides to sleep. Mudkip evolves into Marshtomp."

#263 Zigzagoon - "Zigzagoon restlessly wanders everywhere at all times. This Pokémon does so because it is very curious. It becomes interested in anything that it happens to see. The hair on Zigzagoon's back is bristly. It rubs the hard back hair against trees to leave its territorial markings. This Pokémon may play dead to fool foes in battle."

#278 Wingull - "Wingull rides updrafts rising from the sea by extending its long and narrow wings to glide as if it were skating across the sky. This Pokémon’s long beak is useful for catching prey. It has the habit of carrying prey and valuables in its beak and hiding them in all sorts of locations. It makes its nest on steep sea cliffs."

#280 Ralts - "Ralts senses the emotions of people using the horns on its head. This Pokémon rarely appears before people. But when it does, it draws closer if it senses that the person has a positive disposition. If its horns capture the warm feelings of people or Pokémon, its body warms up slightly. It hides if its senses hostility. If its Trainer is in a cheerful mood, this Pokémon grows cheerful and joyous in the same way."

#384 Rayquaza - "Rayquaza is said to have lived for hundreds of millions of years. Legends remain of how it put to rest the clash between Kyogre and Groudon. This Pokémon consumes water and meteoroids for sustenance in the atmosphere."

#585 Deerling - "The color and scent of their fur changes to match the mountain grass. When they sense hostility, they hide in the grass. The turning of the seasons changes the color and scent of this Pokémon's fur. Their coloring changes according to the seasons and can be slightly affected by the temperature and humidity as well. People use it to mark the seasons."

#608 Lampent - "This ominous Pokémon is feared. Through cities it wanders, searching for the spirits of the fallen. It hangs around hospitals waiting for people to pass on. It arrives near the moment of death and steals spirit from the body. The spirits it absorbs fuel its baleful fire."

#775 Komala - "It is born asleep, and it dies asleep. All its movements are apparently no more than the results of it tossing and turning in its dreams. The log it holds was given to it by its parents at birth. It has also been known to cling to the arm of a friendly Trainer. When it falls into a deep sleep, it stops moving altogether. It remains asleep from birth to death as a result of the sedative properties of the leaves that form its diet."
