Planet: Empatians are from the planet, Empatia, a twin sister planet to Earth from another solar system.
They are a peaceful race and only fight in defense. Thus, they are not very fond of warrior based and warring races. They are powerful empaths. They can read hearts and can absorb and project emotion. Thus, they can manipulate other people's emotion. They even have some kind of empathic healing, where they can absorb the pain of injured people to ease their suffering and induce rapid healing.
Empathy is so much a part of their lives that they don't even know that they have such a gift, which can be a curse sometimes. However, they really notice this ability when they come into contact with other races, especially warrior based races like the Suldari. Feeling all that negative emotions can literally cause them physical pain. In return, they might cause that person pain in return in order to make it stop, depending how severe it is.
They have micro-sized pores that release pheromones in their skin to aid them with their empathic abilities. They mostly travel by foot, so they have two hearts to help supply oxygen all over their bodies. They do have vehicles, but they only use them for transporting items, injured people, and large groups of people to make sure no one is left behind.
They look human, but they are more evolved. The only way to tell them apart is the color of their eyes. They have violet or amber eyes. Their technology is centuries more advanced than the humans'. They think of themselves as superior, and they usually can back it up. However, they don't show it and keep it modest unless someone pisses them off. For their occupations, they usually go into the humanitarian or science fields. However, they don't see any occupation as too small.
